    Tobie!

To start this review off right I have to say that the owner and employees couldn't have been any nicer. They answered all of my gluten free questions and even gave me extra info on some of their dishes that was very helpful. I ordered the GF mozzarella sticks (Yes, they have a dedicated GF fryer!) and the Home Wrecker pizza. (It's like a taco pizza.) The GF crust is a cauliflower crust and is actually pretty tasty. There's no strong aftertaste like a lot of other cauliflower crusts. The pizza was delicious. I haven't had a taco pizza in a long time. The veggies for the pizza were very fresh and come on a separate plate so they don't get soggy. Tobies was an EXCELLENT experience. I am looking forward to trying their GF Chicken Alfredo and other GF pizzas. Totally worth the drive. When you see Tobie, give him a hug for me!

If you want something different Tobie's has the best taco pizza! It comes with fresh garden toppings, salsa and sour cream on the side so you can add them yourself. Delicious!! I like it "Light on the Cheese" or you can ask for "Barely any Cheese" and on thin crust for a crunch. It's called the Home Wrecker. YUM!

Where is Aspen Point, in Broken Arrow? Yeah, near Aspen St., but where? You don't know... You have driven by Aspen Point many times.... Even more of a challenge...... Do you remember there used to be a Zoie's Pizzeria there. Me either, I guess it was ignored out of business. There are too many pizza joints in Broken Arrow. Regardless of the flooded market, Duke, the Bush's Best Baked Beans, dog has switched to a different food product. Now, using a pseudo name of "Tobie," he has set up shop in Aspen Point. He is going to give the pizza business a try. A live dog mascot, in a pizza joint? This might work as long as I don't find a dog hair on my pizza. The rating and the reviews caught my attention. A couple of things before we get into the food. I am always suspicious of new businesses with hundreds of 5-star reviews, from reviewers with only 1 or 2 reviews on their profile. Yeah, they could be honest, or just the owner's Facebook friends. So the only way to know is to try it yourself. AND! It is NOT, New York style pizza, so don't bother complaining. Nobody cares. The food... The massive menu is online. Suggested combos or make your own pizza in three sizes. Sandwiches and wraps, salads, wings, appetizers, and desserts. Bargain beer prices. They have it all. For us a 12-inch Spicey Supreme. Loaded, packed on a perfect thin crust, not overloaded with sauce and not greasy. Check the picture. And bonus points, fresh jalapeno slices; not canned pickled jalapenos. The pizza is made when you order it, so be patient. Very fresh. Excellent. The service was great. The dining room walls are lined with big screen sports. Something different on each wall. Dangling from the ceiling, hundreds of tennis balls. A retriever's dream. Karaoke and trivia nights will make for a lively dining experience. A clean, family friendly restaurant. The owner, pulled up a chair to visit with us. She is outgoing, dynamic. Very involved with the business. Energetic. More energy than a 13-year-old after having a Krispy Kreme and two cans of Red Bull. She has transformed this building to be a stand out pizza joint in Broken Arrow. And then there is Tobie. He is sick of the smell of pizza and is bored out of his skull. He finds the tennis balls hanging from the ceiling to be quite annoying. Be sure to give him a good petting and a scratch. He hung out under our table for a while. Now you know about Tobie's Pizzeria. For us today, a very enjoyable lunch. I am good with a five-star rating. Tobie is on to something here. Try it.

Tobie's is fantastic and this week we ordered pizza's and a charcuterie box that was amazing. If you have not tried it you need to. The pizza has always been our favorite and now the charcuterie box is over the top great.

New fav place. I definitely recommend!! The staff are all so welcoming and friendly. We got to meet the star of the show Tobie!! The sweetest!!! Such a good experience.

Fast food chicken restaurants with the best salad…read more The big franchises or the independent locals? Who has it, the best? I start this quest with a strong bias towards Slim Chickens in Broken Arrow. I have tried it several years ago and I was impressed. Proceeding with a redo of the fast-food chicken restaurant outlets. The competitors are as follows: Slim Chickens, Chick-fil A, Waldo's, Zaxby's, Red Light Chicken, Chicken and the Wolf, and Charlies Chicken. Slim Chickens is a strong competitor. It has a big salad. Loaded with chicken, vegies and a bonus of onion rings. They have more varieties of dressing than a pack of Crayola crayons has colors. A five-star Slim's Salad today. This is going to be hard to beat. The chicken is good. Not the best in the industry, but good. Of the franchises, I prefer Raising Cane's chicken. Unfortunately, they are not in the competition, because they do not offer a salad. That's a good thing, sticking to the what they do best. Slim Chickens restaurant in Broken Arrow is clean. The service is outstanding for a fast-food franchise. One of the very best in service. Now there is something else. Nothing to do with the salad. The fried pickles. A heaping basket of greasy, crisp, crunchy, salty, spicey, vinegary, thin sliced pickles, with a perfect fried flour and corn meal coating. Dipping sauce NOT needed! I have never had any this good anywhere, period. Check the pictures and try them the next time you are in the store. Off to another chicken joint I go!

He runs more to the tame side of food, so this was a logical choice for us. TLDR: good food, reasonable prices and really nice people. Got there around 12:45, and were seated immediately. We got menus and ordered drinks and set about making choices. My son went with the chicken and waffles, hashbrowns instead of eggs, since he doesn't eat eggs. I went with my usual diner test, the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, cream gravy and green beans. The inside is clean, neat and cheery. Staff were busy but attentive. Food arrived quickly and was piping hot. Son's chicken and waffles were outstanding, according to him. Chicken not dry and waffles crisp on the outside and tender inside. Not sure what syrup they use, but he commented that it had almost a cinnamon flavor that he loved. The dish comes with a berry compote type dip that was quite good. Hashbrowns were perfect. Crispy on the outside and steamy soft inside. My CFS was one of the better ones I've had. Not the best, but certainly an 8/10 on all points. Plenty thick enough, nearly 1/2" and well breaded. Crust to meat ratio was good too, with only a little pullback on the meat. Brust was flavorful and not at all soggy. Potatoes are scratch made, and the gravy was both flavorful and plentiful. Green beans were slow cooked and once I salted them, they were great. CFS could have been a little more tender, as some parts definitely needed a knife to cut, but overall, a really good effort. It also came with a respectable side salad that I enjoyed a lot. Prices are reasonable, service is great and the atmosphere is typical diner, without being a greasy spoon, not that that's a bad thing at all. My part of the order ran to $18 and change with an iced tea, and for what I got, that's not bad at all.

The hamburgers are outstanding -- juicy, perfectly seasoned, and cooked exactly how you order them. You can tell they use quality beef, and the toppings are fresh. Also tried the fish. Having reservations helped, and our table was ready upon arrival. Our server, Rebel, was the standout of the entire experience. She handled our large group single-handedly, keeping orders organized and service on point the whole time. Friendly, engaging, and attentive--she's exactly the kind of person you want taking care of your table. We started with Wings, Mozzarella Sticks, and a Giant Pretzel. The wings looked good but fell short in crispness and flavor. The Pretzel was solid, but the big surprise winner was the Mozzarella Sticks--definitely worth ordering! For my meal, I had the Chicken Club with a side salad. The sandwich was excellent, thanks to the perfectly toasted wheat berry bread that really made it shine. The side salad, however, was a miss. It looked fresh but lacked flavor, and I wish restaurants would serve salads on chilled plates to keep them crisp. Overall, Main Street Tavern is a solid choice for lunch or even after work on the patio. The food has its highs and lows, but with Rebel taking care of you, the experience is well worth it.
