We started in 1987 and founded the Art of BBQ, the former fundraiser for Tulsa's Arts and Humanities Council, as well as the Bixby Blues 'n BBQ competition. Over the years we won MULTITUDES of awards, with our biggest claim that our baked beans took second in the world at the KC Royal. We manufactured and marketed three award-winning sauces and a dry rub. Case made?? Good, keep going please! I accidentally found Luke's a few years back and now I'll drive to Coweta from Tulsa for lunch as it's THAT GOOD!! It's honestly some of the best BBQ I've ever eaten. I went last week for lunch and got my usual, sliced brisket and pulled pork. Both were incredible, but the pork was AMAZING, something that usually doesn't impress me. I can get a butt nice and juicy, but NOTHING like Luke's!!! Not sure if they brine, inject, or what they do?? The meat is soaked with delicious juices and you can tell that it's inside, not just added if that makes sense. The brisket came off the point, which is not what I typically prefer, but it too was incredible. Go early, burnt ends seem to sell out first. Great portions, I always bring home leftovers. I'll TRY not to dive in to my plate and get some pics next time; can't promise tho...

She did not care for the mac and cheese but liked the smoke flavor the the white cheese they used. Order at the counter and they bring the food to you. It is a tiny mom and pop place so be there by 10:30 to avoid a line that steadily grows until opening. Lukes reminds me of some of the best small, local BBQ joints you find all over Texas. Fries are fries... the chicken breast was moist but, offered no seasoning nor smokie flavor. We haven't been here in a couple years and we were sad to see the food was no longer worth coming to BA.
