When a new restaurant opens in Tulsa, no matter how big or small, it'll be the craze for about 2 weeks. When it comes to Smalls, a Louisiana founded burger chain, it was no different. When the restaurant opened in the summer of 2025, the line was backed up past the parking lot. After the hype died down a little, I was finally able to visit on October 10th (2025) to gauge whether it was serving hunger or hype. Though South Tulsa is exponentially growing, Smalls was developed on the most desolate stretch of 71st Street, after the bridge & before Hwy 75. I stopped by around 3:30pm after several weeks of curiously passing by. I soon realized Smalls is simply a modern burger stand as I chose to "dine in." The overall property is like a narrow fishbowl - you can view the parking lot, narrow drive-in and short alley of seats. However, this seemed intentional with the "Smalls" branding. The patio is covered and made up of artificial grass, standard patio seats/tables and has a box-container vibe. Overall, it seats roughly about 30 people max. Walk-ups order at the window up front. The menu is also narrow & immediate with only 3 categories of products and 1 side option: waffle fries. I ordered 3 sliders, waffle fries & a lemonade. With about 6 other people there and 3-4 cars passing in the drive-through, it didn't take more than 10mins for my order to be called, "Gerod!" Took my tray to the table & threw down! The sliders were amazing. They were a decent size and cooked well but the buns were the main attraction as they were soft, steamed & toasted. With no major condiment offerings (ranch, BBQ sauce, honey mustard, etc.), their signature "Smauce" actually complimented the sliders. I usually don't spring for "premium" beverages but I'm a sucker for a good lemonade, and this one was worth the visit alone. Last but not least, the WAFFLE FRIES! They were huge, well-seasoning and had a good crisp them! I'm not exaggerating when I say that these were some of the best I've ever had. Although Oklahoma is home to an insurmountable amount of burger spots, Smalls may prove to be an upcoming competitor. The biggest drawback (for me) is the location as it's not the most convenient area to visit but that hasn't seemed to impede their business much. If there's anyone left in Tulsa who hasn't tried Smalls, I encourage you to go! Who would've thought this Louisiana Burger Chain could do numbers in Tulsa? read more

Me and my friends came here after our football game. It was pretty good! I enjoyed the two sliders I got. Also, the fries here were great! They tasted very similar to Arby's fries. The ambiance here was very good. The restaurant had a neat feel to it. The service here was pretty good. The guy taking our order was nice. The only problem was they forgot my friend's drink. This is a drive-thru business that also has a few tables outside and a walk up window. The menu is incredibly simple with just a few items, but I think that also makes it harder to decide. Ha ha. I got a three slider meal with the fries. I also signed up for their app and received a free slider so I added bacon on that one. They seemed to be chargrilled. All were good. I really enjoyed the fries. Like I would go back just for the fries. Everyone is super personable. They were launching the Mardi Gras shake so they all had masks on. It was very cute. I recommend this place if you miss White Castle or Crystals. Not that I approve of the latter since I am a White Castle girlie. Ha ha. read more

My family was split in their opinions about this place. Obviously the burgers are small. That's the point. But the price certainly isn't small. They are good though, except for the part of my burger that was pink and mushy. The rest of it was really tasty. The fries are flavorful, and the queso and smauce really elevate both the sliders and fries. Service was friendly. The price will keep me from heading back frequently. Overall great experience. The branding is ACES from the "slide thru" to the workers saying "thanks for sliding in". The fries were DELICIOUS and the burgers were overall good. I split an order with my husband so we got just meat and cheese. The team was kind enough to put sauce on the side for us to try. While the sauce was not my style, it was good. I know several friends/family that would love it. The burgers were good but I don't know if I would go out of the way to go to Smalls. My wife and I decided to try this for the first time today (4/11/26). We decided on the 3 slider meal so we both could sample different options. We walked to the window, and proceeded to tell the young lady how we wanted the first slider. She immediately tells us that all 3 sliders have to be the exact same. I guess this is some kind of Smalls rule? Just some advice- if you want new people to try your product, it would be good to be able to try some options. We waited in our car for more than two hours! The average serving time (believe me I timed them) is 1 min 15 sec per car. This is OK (I guess?) but there are periods where it takes 5 minutes before the car line moves again! The burgers is juicy, yes. Finally made it to Smalls Sliders. First, it's a walk up/drive thru restaurant. They had patio seating, which is nice since it is a beautiful night. They did have a tv with a nice picture on it. For the sliders, they were ok. You get a spot of sauce, a pickle, cheese if you want it or not and a burger. No lettuce, no tomato or onions or other condiments offered. We ordered the 4 slider meal($13.99) to split. It's cheaper than a 2 slider meal($9.29) I am lactose intolerant so I asked if we could get 2 of the sliders with no cheese. The person said without hesitation, that he can't do that. His attitude was a bit rude. So, my husband just said all with no cheese then. The waffle fries were good. Their sauce was extra(.99) & Queso dip was extra($2.79), we were offered no ketchup, mustard, sauce or anything else. Maybe that is just something they think is just up to the customer to bring up. Honestly, I didn't see anything special about this place at all. I was disappointed. Especially for the price. I am sure there are plenty of people who will return, but we will not. Don't do it. They do not have it together and don't you dare place an order online and expect the drive though as a choice for pickup. Also, let's not denote this in the app, website or upon pull up. I simply cannot understand this drive thru business model of multiple lanes to order but you force 1 person to bounce from vehicle to vehicle, just to take orders out of order from the lanes in which the cars arrived, while one person watches and occasionally assists. I just don't get it, Smalls isn't the only one that has this terrible model either. So I waited 8 cars deep to get close to the boards and 3 at the window to be told I should be pulled from the line and go around. Then for the guy to not stop the other cars as he instructed me but told no one else the plan was just plain stupid. Which he also doubled down on the stupid by telling me my order was already ready, which was equally dumb as it in fact was not ready. To the food portion, the only large about the large combo my husband and I picked was the drink. The 2 slider combo each had 2 sliders with a dash of sauce and 1 pickle. There were approx 6 waffles fries each mine had 7 because 2 were stuck together. The waffle fries tasted like Arby's curly fries so I suspect similar if not same manufacturer. None of the food was hot and the waffle fries were warm but not hot or crunchy. The only thing Smalls is shaking up in the "big burger industry" is those heinous styrofoam containers such a bad look. read more

On a 1-10, it was a five at best. The fries were almost dripping in grease. The meat and bun was good but the bun was dressed in an oil that had an industrial taste to it. The service was good and the ice tea was good. Too many other good burger choices to go back. read more

I was visiting from Texas last week and my family loves this place so I was super excited to try it. when I went it was pretty busy and the girls taking orders looked overwhelmed already when this male manager comes out and starts screaming at them! I think some car was pulling in the wrong lane but that's not an excuse for a grown man to be yelling at young girls who are already out there working in the cold. The girl with dark hair came to take my order and I had to ask if she was alright, it's crazy that people think it's normal to yell at people! My family will not be coming back here absolutely disgusting behavior by a man who's supposed to be a manager. read more

Fantastic burgers. Horrible customer service. I've been to Smalls several times and the burgers are always so good. This week I wanted to treat our entire school staff with the Biggie, double meat, double cheese bacon cheeseburgers. I ordered three of the treys with 25 burgers each. Almost $400 worth. I ordered them a day early and the lady was extremely nice. The next morning I decided to give them more time to open so I changed the pickup time from 10:30 to 12:00. I made the change at 9:00 a.m. in order to let them know. I got to Smalls at 11:45 and asked if our order might be ready. The day shift manager, Candace, smirked and said rudely, "It's not 12:00 yet". I simply asked if they might be ready. I asked if they would be ready by 12:00 and she said yes. At 12:00, they still weren't ready. I checked again at 12:10, 12:15 and 12:20. Each time they said five more minutes. Finally at 12:25 the burgers were ready. I hate to write a negative review, but I had driven 25 miles to get these amazing burgers. Out staff loved the burgers even though several of them were half raw. I want to see Smalls succeed. They have amazing meals, but someone needs to work with their team on customer service and attitudes. read more

Without knowing anything about it beforehand, I presumed that Smalls Sliders was going to be another White Castle/Krystal burger joint. With lines around the block when it first opened, I figured it would be best to wait a while before trying it out. Well, it was worth the wait. The selection at Smalls couldn't be more small - sliders, fries, drinks, and shakes - that's it. If you're going to have a small menu, then you better be good at it, like Cane's is good at chicken fingers. The burgers are good but then again it's just a burger but small size. White Castle and Krystal burger sliders have thin layers of meat with Kings Hawaiian like rolls while Smalls is literally a mini sized hamburger with a mini bun. Their waffle fries are seasoned, which is a plus. Prices are a tad high for the size of the meal, so I will say overall value is less than expected. There was no walk-in as we ordered from the window, so there's no ambiance to speak of, though the young lady at the window was kind and helpful. Over priced for mediocre food. I tried it twice to give them the benefit of the doubt. They were out of pickles both times. For some reason you would think that a burger with 3 whole toppings (cheese,sauce, and pickles) that they wouldn't run out but they did. Asked for extra sauce and they couldn't give me any because "they only had enough for the burgers". When I got mine it barely had any on it. Huge let down. Mind you both times I went before lunch rush. I would rather go down the road to Arnold's. More bang for your buck and better food all around. read more
