what did yellow say to blue? the tea
Avery V.

food i've been to the restaurant location once before today, and i've known the restaurant in the past as the first store i tried a peanut butter bacon burger. that said, i've been abstaining from pork as much as i can, but that was not an issue since the restaurant serves a healthy variety of menu items, including multiple i'd not seen featured before today. one such item is the meal i eventually ordered, the fat pack slider combo, which came with two beef burger sliders topped with grilled onion, and french fries, and with which i got a fountain drink cup i'd filled with pink lemonade and tea. the slider burgers were really tasty, with the grilled onions pairing well with the small burger patties, and the toasted buns serving as a right cherry on top, and bottom, if you will. further, the fries were good, being satisfyingly crispy. and the oh so sweet pink lemonade, not available often, allowed me to uncharacteristically select unsweet tea to mix with the lemonade for a arnie palmer, which was quite refreshing. service the worker who received the order was polite and helpful. she displayed particularly good service by asking if i wanted cheese on the sliders, a choice that is so often assumed. ambiance the restaurant was not particularly busy while i was there, to my enjoyment, and which i'd think is expected at a restaurant on a standard wednesday evening. also, while the restaurant decor was not especially remarkable, the walk up ordering station and limited high top bar table seating were very reminiscent of a classic burger joint.

First of all the peanut butter bacon burger Thai chili style burger (per the servers recommendation) was absolutely amazing! I was very jealous of the boyfriend's burger but my bacon Cheese burger was also amazing, added the Thai chili sauce. srirancha and mushrooms. But now for my absolutely fav. The sweet potato waffle fries are to die for!!! Not to mention the best service from Ben who happened to be working this Saturday afternoon and was so nice, polite, friendly and very informative on their special blend of meat and how fresh the patties are. I'm in awe of the service and the food. Would definitely come back anytime we are in town !!

Undercooked meat!

Oklahoma seems to have a certain pride when it comes to burger joints that keep it simple. Tulsa…read morehas many chains, local restaurants and pop-ups that are familiar and filling. Encroaching on a seemingly crowded market can be tough but somehow Howdy feels like an already-established diner. While many newer burger places attempt to overwhelm the consumer, Howdy Burger's approach seems to be keeping things simple and delivering what the people want while staying true to the "burger joint" identity. I've had Howdy Burger 2 or 3 times through the years. My first visit was likely in/at Mother Road Market but a more recent visit was on October 29th (2025). In the midst of an economic stall (the federal government was shut down for 4 weeks at that point), eating out seemed like a luxury. I visited around 2pm for lunch. The weather was chilly and the staff was readily available. I was greeted and I browsed the menu for about 2mins before ordering. I ended up getting a single burger & rodeo fries. Afterwards, me & the lady cashier had a brief conversation about the state of the world as business was slower than usual. The restaurant isn't huge but it was well maintained. I sat near the West windows and the food came out shortly after. The highlight of the food was easily the burger itself. It was a decent size, the bread was soft, and the patty was just thick enough. Each bite was equally satisfying as they didn't hold back on the toppings. I will say that the fries are pretty standard, even with the extra toppings. I don't think the Rodeo Fries are worth wild but it didn't hurt to try. Lastly, I LOVE the variety of sauces they offer and the staff are happy to add them directly onto the sandwich or place them on the side. I've since returned to have the Fried Chicken Sandwich and it was just as good, if not better, than most famed chicken sandwich spots. I wasn't familiar with Howdy for a while and, as mentioned, there are many other places to get a cheeseburger, sandwich and/or fries. But what I like about Howdy is that they don't try too hard, they know what sells and they offer great service. Considering the price, consistency in their products and good people behind the counter, Howdy Burger is good enough to replace your favorite burger chain and/or fast food spot.

Smashed thin and came out crunchy on the edges. Enough toppings to keep you wanting more. Drive through attendant was very pleasant and quickly got us our food. Thumbs up!

I'm on a huge hamburger kick. Looking for mom n pop places…read more Having been to Tulsa a few times yrs ago, I checked Yelp and DDD and both had Hanks listed. And bing in town on business, I had to go. I went the single meat w/ chz and. Risky FFs. Hanks did not disappoint. Good ol' fashioned juicy chz burger. One where the meat juices mix with the mayo and chz and oh so good. Very filling. And the FFs so crispy. Yo won't be disappointed. Tip: for the best burger deal, get Hank's 1/2 lb special. Way cheaper than buying single patty burger, FFs and drink separate. It's a dbl meat.

The menu is straight forward, straight out of the 60's style, and the place was poppin' at 2:30 in the afternoon. I ordered the Hank's special with cheese and pickles and onions as my only produce. I also ordered tots. I found out later that I could've got them "loaded", which entails tots being smothered in chili and cheese. Next time for sure. My wife had the single with fries. The fries came out piping hot and for simple fries, they were crisp and tasty. My wife's only complaint is the lettuce was wilty, and that is she doesn't like the onions grilled into the burger. That's not a knock on Hank's, just her preference. Me, I love grilled onions on and in my burger. The burger bun was soft and melded with the burger and cheese into a burger nirvana. I look forward to trying their chili cheese tots next time and their milkshakes looked very tasty. We'll be back for sure.

I think it is named after a local ranch so sorry if I butchered it. I asked what was on it... all I heard was grilled onions, jalapeños, and some sauce and I was all in!! The burger came on toast and is very similar to a patty melt if you like that style. Honestly it was a great burger. The wife and I shared some cheese and onion fries... I can't say enough about how delicious it was. My wife ended up getting the class burger which comes with cheese sauce to dip fries or your burger in....i wanted the cheese sauce on everything but I did my best to hold back. Service is always great accompanied with some local brews... honestly this is a great place to eat local beef and local brews!

It takes a LOT of reading before you can figure out what you want. I understand wanting to highlight farms that the beef is sourced from, but it shouldn't be the most prominent thing in the menu. It's super confusing. Last, the truffle fries need reworked badly. I got fries with some truffle-esque condiment squeezed randomly on top. Fries needed to be tossed in the sauce while hot, so it was a soggy mess. 1/5, wouldn't recommend those.
