So we just visited this location and had to wait over 20 minutes in line for two small fish dinners. No one would respond when we tried to figure out what was going on. in the past if someone ordered something else that needed more time they would have them pull up so the others could get their food. Instead, we had to wait in line with no information and then the people working at the window. We're not friendly. We're not helpful. Wouldn't answer our questions. We asked if the fish had been sitting there this entire time they said no but it's just not a great experience. It's not good food. I think it's being run by different people so don't walk run away from this place forever. We popped thru Charlie's Chicken drive thru last night for our beloved, moist & tender chicken liver dinners! I hadn't always enjoyed eating chicken livers, but Charlie's Chicken changed my mind! They are a real treat! Being so conveniently located on Memorial Drive, it's a busy restaurant, but their drive thru service is consistently quick! I ordered a chicken liver dinner with a side of broccoli casserole & broccoli salad! My husband ordered the same dinner with his favorite mashed potatoes & gravy & broccoli casserole! I ordered a 7 piece chicken chunk dinner with mashed potatoes and gravy, extra side of mashed potatoes and gravy and a medium Dr Pepper. all I got was broccoli and cheese casserol, corn poppers, stuffing and gravy. We always try to stop by Charlie's when in Tulsa. We love their 5chunk chicken dinner either mashed potatoes and white gravy. Their jalapeno chicken is my next favorite. The restaurant is clean and so are the restrooms. Staff is always friendly. read more

We live their chicken chunks and fried okra. The staff is friendly and the line in the drive thru is quick.

We got the 12 chunk family meal with potatoes and broccoli/rice casserole. The chicken was overcooked and pretty dry. the potatoes seemed to be overmixed and bland. The gravy tasted nice The casserole needed seasoning. the rolls were soft and very tasty The staff at the drive-through were very polite and friendly. This is going to be an unusual review. I am making this review purposefully so that the Charlie's Chicken team and hopefully regional manager of this location will see it. I have nothing to say about the food. The food is always amazing. My order is always correct and the people serving me have always been very kind. Now to my problem, I went through the drive-through tonight, October 25, 2023 at around 6:40PM. When I got to the window and paid, everything went well. The woman at the window was very kind and time efficient. She gave me back my card and told me it would be just one second which was completely fine with me. I watched through the window as what I'm assuming to be the manager (a woman with gray hair that was in a bun) came to talk to the woman at the window. While I couldn't hear what the manager was saying. I definitely saw the attitude all over her face as she yelled and scolded this very kind woman who was just waiting to hand me my food. When my food was ready, the woman at the window very kindly handed it to me and I told her, "your doing great, don't sweat it". She looked very obviously upset and thanked me for my comment. Now, somebody may ask why is this my problem? I'm not the one that got yelled at, so why should I care? I care because it was completely inappropriate and unprofessional to yell at an employee or staff member in front of a paying customer. I care because no employee should be talked to that way by a manager or a fellow coworker. I care because I do not want to support a business that does not treat their employees like real people. How I would like this to be handled: ideally, I would like the regional manager to speak with the manager/coworker that started this employee abuse. If it can be rectified and the very kind a woman in the window can forgive this manager for her verbal abuse, great! If not, I would like this manager/staff member to be replaced. I'm so very disappointed in the Charles team tonight. What a shame that their work place has a manager that is verbally abusive. read more

We stopped in after leaving Walmart cause we smelled the chicken and immediately it made us hungry....We had never been to a Charlie's Chicken so I really didn't know what to expect. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like they really valued our patronage. I had mentioned that we had never been there before so the gal behind the counter began to explain the menu and the various options. After we received our food the manager came over and said that she had heard it's our first time there and had us sample what she thought was the best thing on the menu. While the food is good I am very disappointed with the size of the chicken chunks. Used to eat here all the time because the chunks were huge. Now they are the size of a nugget. Just purchased 2 three chunk meals with drinks and it cost over $26. Could've gotten Canes for less money but more chicken. read more

Solid place to start out whenever you just turn 16 and have no experience-- the customers are one of the cons of working there because usually they are old and are either a.) cranky and don't even know what they want or b.) will ask for the most confusing instructions for their food. But most of the coworkers were good-- management was highly inconsistent. The benefits of the job are good though, closing crew ends up leaving by 9:30 and usually you can leave at 8:30~. So, here's the deal. The chicken was not that great, the Mac and cheese was good, but the broccoli rice was dried out and sticky. Just not that great. But then something interesting happened... I saw a bell and reached up to ring it -- because ringing the bell usually means "if we did well -- ring the bell" -- I was trying to tell you that you did a good job (despite the food NOT being that great -- I was willing to overlook that)... When I rang the bell, we got "the stink eye" from employees behind the counter -- most notably the manager! Nobody said anything to us -- but the angry stares made us feel very uncomfortable. This place is a hit or miss when eating here but when you hit its amazing. What I mean by that is some of the time the food is not fresh or the chicken is cold or undercooked. I get the 3 chunk dinner sides being mashed potatoes and fried okra. When you get served fresh food here the chicken taste very nice and moist with a crunch. The mashed potatoes are always nice along with the gravy it is truly amazing. The okra is most of the time not so fresh but it is still good. You also get a dinner roll which is nice and buttery. All in all I recommend this place a try for it can be really good. Some days they will have specials like meatloaf or chicken fried steak which are both pretty good for I have had both. They used to have a free with meal ice cream dispenser but they have recently got rid of it. read more

For a buffeteria type restaurant, this is by far the best Charlie's in the Tulsa Metro. The young people who work here have always been nice, clean & ready to serve, when you walk in the door. I've eaten here for several years. Just now got around to writing a review. If you like a home-style type place, and enjoy chicken, you will enjoy it. This particular location has the meatloaf always too. Not just once a week. It's a catsup covered creation. Not my mother's, but hey... ain't nobody's that good! LOL I get the meatloaf about once a month. Personally, I usually go for a 3-5 chunk dinner. These are not some kind of little nuggets. Just real, cut off the breast chunks. Good sized, battered & fried. Closer to bone-in chicken flavor than most boneless chicken. Get your own drinks & refills. Dump your own trash. If you're there on a weekend, you'll probably leave, remembering Criket. No... that's not an insect, or a phone service! Cricket is probably the friendliest manager they have. Thought this was a family friendly place but apparently not! The employees were sweet, but I witnessed a manager (I believe her name was Jennifer) screaming and cussing at a young employee in front of the whole restaurant. If you could even call it that!! When I called her out on it she cussed me out in front of my children! I can't believe this company allows this to happen. I highly recommend Charlie's Chicken. The jalapeño chicken is so good. It comes with bite size pieces of chicken, battered jalapeños and onions strips. The carrot cake is the best so order it for dessert next time you visit. read more

the food usually is pretty good. i have been shorted quite a few times on items. needs better ordering board which really isnt a big deal. i this place could have gotten 5 stars if when they screw me and dont give me something that i ordered, all they would have to do is give you something extra to make up for the hassle. one time i ordered chicken fried chicken. when i got all the way home i ate a piece and it was chicken fried steak. i couldnt tell when i left with the order. well i went back and they said i couldnt have a new order of sides. they just gave me a dry chicken fried chicken and basically told me to eat the old cold gravy and cold mashed potatoes. really? are they to cheap to give me a hot order of potatoes after they screwed up in the first place. crappy service and they dont care about the customer. read more
