I wanted to ask if Gus Fring was there. The chicken is hot and juicy. Lightly seasoned, lightly battered and fried to a dark crisp. Most of the crunch comes from the super crispy skin. It was not oily, when I bit the breast section the hot juices ran out. So hot it had to cool for a while before I could finish it. I liked the texture, the taste and the fact that it is not overly breaded. We had 2 three-piece meals with fries and beans. A plate full of great fries was under the chicken. The beans were tasty, spicey like chili beans. The restaurant was not crowded this afternoon. I believe the new has worn off. Reviewers' ratings vary wildly on Google. My wife and I enjoyed the meals, but I don't believe Pollo Campero will dominate the fried chicken market in Tulsa. Not by the same name, but it does remind me of the chicken restaurant in that popular TV series a from few years ago.

I've eaten at more than a few of these places and I def love the chicken! This a new place here in Tulsa and the food is just as good as their locations in Texass and Cali. Good simple chicken with some excellent sides. I'm most pumped that this place only about a mile from the casa.

Hubby and I got the 4 piece fried chicken beans and rice and tortillas I made a make shift taco the rice was fantastic and the beans had amazing flavor I was right with my suspicions that they were the sides to order but they were out of grilled chicken that day so just to try I got the spicy chicken sandwich and sad to say very disappointed it was super thin and dry only the middle for 1 or two bites was thick and kinda juicy, I'm not sure if it's less ordered than the regular one or not but personally I won't order it again but I liked the thick pickle slices. Picture of the chickens not good because I was so hungry so I didn't get a good photo before eating

here is a repeat after me song:…read more hey burrito hey hey hey burrito mmm yea burrito yea taco bell taco bell guacamole, cinnamon twist food - basing my order off the song, i got a bean burrito with guacamole and an order of cinnamon twists. the cinnamon twists were expectedly delicious, and the bean burrito hit the spot. though it would be nice to have an option on the computer ordering screen to request the guacamole add-on separate, it left some surprise for me in opening my to-go order as to whether the guac would be on the side or in the burrito, as it was. lastly, i decided against ordering a bev from the restaurant, although the baja blast has been very tasty in my experience. but since my mom had bev options at her house, i got a coca-cola there. service - the cashier was nice and patient with me in counting my payment with change. he then floated to the food station and helped expedite efficiency in getting the order up to me within only a couple minutes. the guy who delivered the order to the counter was nice too. ambiance - the restaurant was empty beside me when I came in around 3pm, though being super bowl sunday might have been a part of the reason for that. that said, the front of the store was clean, and I noticed someone in the back near the food station sweeping and keeping that area clean as well.

The service was pretty quick, I went through the app order/drive through side and gave them my name. It was done in 5 minutes. When I went to eat it I was very disappointed in the lack of ingredients in the Quesadilla. I get this same order when I'm in Catoosa and they really fill it up. The 6$ quesadilla had 4 very small pieces of beef on it, only in the two middle pieces of the quesadilla. The 2 outer quesadilla pieces had barely a sprinkle of cheese that was not hot. It seemed a bit undercooked and soggy. I was expecting a slightly crispy full tortilla of steak and cheese with sauce. Did I mention I was disappointed? I may give them another try since they are a new location but very hopeful they add more ingredients.

We went through the drive-thru, and I'm assuming the menu outside hasn't been updated in a while. I order the #1, Deluxe Hamburger. Now, I've done my time in food service. I know what deluxe toppings are. Nowhere on the picture or in the name did it insinuate it had cheese on it. So upon ordering, I ask for the #1 Deluxe Hamburger meal, add cheese with a Pepsi. The gentleman asks "so just meat and cheese" and my boyfriend corrects him "no, add cheese." So the cashier repeats back, "okay extra cheese?" And I'm shaking my head. I want one slice of cheese, with the deluxe toppings!!!!!!! Why is that so hard. I literally spell it out for him, I hold my boyfriend back and say "No, I'd like the deluxe hamburger, all the toppings included, just add cheese, please." Whatever, so he takes my boyfriends order then repeats it for us at the end "extra cheese" dear goodness I understand now that the conflicting menus are at fault, but I deliberately told him just one single slice of cheese. Once we are at the window (mind you we are their only customers, both DT and inside) the guy opens the window and holds his hand out for the card. So incredibly rude I've never been that rude even on my worst days as a drive-thru attendant. He didn't say one word to us the entire time, no smiling, nothing. I have 5 years experience in 3 different fast food jobs, so I KNOW the struggle with problematic customers, so I'm always mindful not to be one. But this worker was just plain rude and terrible with his job. Get home, and yep they charged us for extra cheese, which adds up when the meal for 2 is already about $30. Very disappointed this time around, but the food was perfect, so I am indifferent about them closing down.

Oklahoma seems to have a certain pride when it comes to burger joints that keep it simple. Tulsa…read morehas many chains, local restaurants and pop-ups that are familiar and filling. Encroaching on a seemingly crowded market can be tough but somehow Howdy feels like an already-established diner. While many newer burger places attempt to overwhelm the consumer, Howdy Burger's approach seems to be keeping things simple and delivering what the people want while staying true to the "burger joint" identity. I've had Howdy Burger 2 or 3 times through the years. My first visit was likely in/at Mother Road Market but a more recent visit was on October 29th (2025). In the midst of an economic stall (the federal government was shut down for 4 weeks at that point), eating out seemed like a luxury. I visited around 2pm for lunch. The weather was chilly and the staff was readily available. I was greeted and I browsed the menu for about 2mins before ordering. I ended up getting a single burger & rodeo fries. Afterwards, me & the lady cashier had a brief conversation about the state of the world as business was slower than usual. The restaurant isn't huge but it was well maintained. I sat near the West windows and the food came out shortly after. The highlight of the food was easily the burger itself. It was a decent size, the bread was soft, and the patty was just thick enough. Each bite was equally satisfying as they didn't hold back on the toppings. I will say that the fries are pretty standard, even with the extra toppings. I don't think the Rodeo Fries are worth wild but it didn't hurt to try. Lastly, I LOVE the variety of sauces they offer and the staff are happy to add them directly onto the sandwich or place them on the side. I've since returned to have the Fried Chicken Sandwich and it was just as good, if not better, than most famed chicken sandwich spots. I wasn't familiar with Howdy for a while and, as mentioned, there are many other places to get a cheeseburger, sandwich and/or fries. But what I like about Howdy is that they don't try too hard, they know what sells and they offer great service. Considering the price, consistency in their products and good people behind the counter, Howdy Burger is good enough to replace your favorite burger chain and/or fast food spot.
