I'm from NY and Slices' pizza reminds me of the pies I used to see in NYC. The slices are really decent size, large enough so that a former NYer like me can fold the pizza in half. I am also a snob when it comes to crust. I like a crispy, thin crust and these guys come as close to thin, crispy crust as you can get without going to Manhattan. I find their pizza to be tasty, cheesy and just GOOD. I've never had an issue with their service like some other folks have expressed, so I don't understand why their rating isn't higher. I've never been mistreated and the pizza always comes out hot and fast. If you are a fan of NY pizza but don't want to spend $600 on a plane ticket to get it, Slices is a good stand in. read more

I originally loved Slices when they were a newer brand, but I feel like they haven't done a great job of keeping up in the market. Their employees are never friendly, the pizza is inconsistent, but if you do get a good one heated to the proper temperature, you're going to love it. One of the best pizza slices I tried so far. Being a vegetarian, I tested them to add as many veggie they can and to our surprise they added almost every veggie they got. It came out super tasty. The smoked mushroom pizza is amazing. Never tasted anything like it. Tomato basil was very fresh and excellent as well. Not greasy either.

EDIT: Was contacted by the restaurant, and the situation has been resolved. I have been a Slices customer for years but after seeing the business owner and another employee working without masks, as well as allowing others to come in without masks, I probably won't be in for a little while. It's a shame this would happen, but I would expect a loss of business if I didn't care about my customers and employees. The pizza isn't good enough to put up with this. read more

Ordered a large Supreme for pick-up. 19" size was beyond belief. Here on vacation in Marriott timeshare and the box barely fit in the fridge. Pizza was nice. Thin crust and plenty of toppings, though they could have done a better job at slicing it up. Only issue is the place is hard to find in the desert ridge plaza. Well....it was only OK :(. It was dinnertime when we were at DR and just happened to walk by Slices, so thought it would be a good ideas to give it a try. Well...maybe not. The pizza was cold and even warming it up in the oven didn't make it taste good. I asked for the cauliflower crust pizza, and the lady told me that she needed to wait for her cook to come back from his smoke break to make it for me. When he came back in he didn't appear to wash his hands, but I can't verify. I'm hoping the germs were all burned off in the hot oven. Walking around Desert Ridge with a friend today we got extremely thirsty and this was where we ended up going to get a drink real quick. James was so kind and inviting to my friend, my two little girls and myself. I was even more excited to see the vegan pizza options on Friday Saturday and Sunday that they use Follow Your Heart cheese which is so good. Pretty decent place to grab a slice or two. They always have a good selection ready. The only thing I've tried and didn't enjoy was the Sicilian style. The piece I had was undercooked... but their regular slices are tasty. I've had the bbq chicken, pep, and combo. But they best is the smoked mushroom pizza. Wow, that thing is delicious. They don't have it everyday but if you see it when you are there you should try it. You won't be disappointed. There peanut butter cup cookie is the bomb, too. I noticed quite a few of the other reviews talk about the not so great experience. It does seem hit or miss.
