This pizza brought me back to life. I got the pepperoni and bacon pizza. Service was good. I truly appreciate the fact that the red pepper flakes and Parmesan cheese packets are self serve and they aren't stingy with giving them out. I had a mini cannoli which was perfect just the right amount of sweet after some good pizza. I don't have a picture of the pizza because I devoured it fast but trust me it was good. We ate outside and the tables are kinda wonky and the seats were broken with bird poop on them. I don't blame slices for that but it was worth it either way because it was good pizza. Great selection, fast service, and customer service is fine. The pizza wasn't as great this time. The bottom had a strange texture to it. We don't usually eat inside as it's busy and there isn't much elbow room. It's conveniently located near the splash pads and would make a great inexpensive lunch for parents who are there to let their kids play in the water. They offer a $10 special that includes two slices of pizza (you can get two different types of pizza, too) and a fountain drink. The pizza is thin and fairly crispy (New York style). If you like your pizza covered in cheese, this is the place for you. I prefer my pizza to be more sauce heavy. It was incredibly hot when we entered the restaurant, so we chose to sit outside at one of the many outdoor tables in the area. This staff were really great! I went in with some children to grab food before our movie. There were high energy children so they were indecisive and all over the place with what they wanted when we had to pick pizza and when it was time to pay. The employees never seemed annoyed by this but instead were patient and kind. The chosen pizza was a potato bacon one and Sicilian pepperoni thick slice one. I hadn't been to Slices in quite a while, and I remember going to the Tempe location a few times. I was in the mood for something quick and easy, so this spot fit the bill. I wanted a pizza with olives but they didn't have one ready, so I ordered their veggie slice with two bread combo and a drink ($8.99). I chose their garlic olive twist and cinnamon twist as my options. I got their garlic sauce (marinara was their other option) and had my dinner at one of the tables outside since there are just a few tables indoors and we were already sitting out in the mall area. The twists were pretty tasty and I was glad to have a sweet option to try. The slice had plenty of toppings but I wasn't impressed with how flimsy the crust was. I like thin crust, but one that holds its composition better. Their garlic sauce wasn't my favorite so I'd try the marinara next time. Excellent customer service! Friendly, helpful and welcoming. They offer thin and deep dish pizza as well as salads. We decided on Red Margarita and Chicken Pesto. We collected our beverage and napkins. Our order was called after the slices had been heated up. Staff are friendly and efficient. There were a few high top table and chairs inside. We opted to do take out and found a sunny spot with table and chairs. Pizza is good. Whoever's in charge before close is note a nice person. Came in there to get a whole pizza like we usually do. It's right around 9 PM. We Order a whole pizza. Kid at the counter goes back to talk to someone and comes back and tells us even though it's only 9 o'clock they're not making any more pizzas. Because they will be closing soon. We say OK well can you just make up enough slices to make a whole piece since there's a whole bunch in the window and charge us for one pizza. He says well I think I can do that, but before I do it, let me go ask. He goes back into the back and speaks to someone who comes out and tells us No. The lady then says if we want pizza we're gonna have to pay for every slice by the slice price. Totally rude and obnoxious lady. Suffice to say, even though I like the pizza I haven't been back. Not sure I'll return anytime soon. I ended up to paying $65 for a single pizza by the slice because my kids did not want to have to go somewhere else since we were already there. Not the best tasting Pizza for sure. Crust was tasteless and had was dry and had to chew. Had to discard the burnt sides. The smoked mushroom flavor had a really weird flavor to it and almost made us sick. The White Margarita was better in flavor but still hard to eat as crust was so dry. My daughter wanted to go to this spot for her graduation. Right when we walked in, the pizza in glass cases looked extremely old. The Pizza chef was very rude, rushing our order and acting very impatient even tho it was our first time there. The ambiance and seating was terrible, we ended up cleaning the only table available ourselves because it was so riddled with trash and paper plates. My worst complaint was the staff... If you hate working in food service, maybe find a different job. And if you are short staffed then maybe hire more help. I had never been here before and they have the pizzas on display, but most of them are so high up It's hard to see them. I figured how bad could pizza be so I ordered a plain slice. Prices weren't listed. I paid a ridiculous $5.15 for a plain slice that would be around $3-$4 in NYC for top notch pizza and everywhere you walk into. This Pizza at slice tasted like school cafeteria pizza. It's been a long time since I've had school cafeteria pizza but slice brought back all the memories and I don't mean this as a compliment. The mozzarella cheese doesn't even taste like mozzarella the pizza is not crunchy and I got indigestion from this garbage pizza. Obviously not using quality ingredients. Found this little gem while doing some last minute Christmas shopping, we moved here around 3 weeks ago. Anyway this place looked good so my boyfriend and I went to try it and OMG! 1000000/10 are you kidding the pizza was not only super delicious but the presto ranch is to die for. The service was great people were very friendly and helpful! It's a little small so it doesn't sit a lot of people but still cute, they have a sign that basically tells you to get off your phone and have a conversation with who you came with and we thought that was super cute. I should have taken a photo when it first came out but we were starving and it was so good. Slices was a staple for me in college and I have so many special memories there. My daughter and I have a lot of food allergies. Slices went above and beyond to make sure we were able to get our dietary needs met. The customary service was kind and collaborative. They even gave my daughter extra olives on the side so she could put as many as she wanted on each slice of pizza. I don't usually write reviews but i went in on tuesday, and i am surprised to see all these recent bad reviews. i was there when a guy was nicely asked to please only use a water cup for WATER but refused and filled the cups with sodas. He totally ignored the employee so security came in and told the man to dump the cup and he still refused. He got very defensive and cussed out the security for not following a simple rude. The drinks aren't even expensive at that! he asked for a refund after he had ate half of his slices he had ordered? he ended up getting kicked out and was angry when he was the inconvenience. They also have a sign where it shows WATER CUPS ONLY next to the fountain drinks. this place always serves great pizza and the service is great, never had have a problem in the past years i've been going. i'm not sure why people lie about what actually went on to hurt a small business and to get their way. read more

Slices is pretty consistently solid for me. I must say the simple cheese pizza is so delicious & hits the spot when your craving some delicious NY style pizza. I prefer ordering the smaller ones than the large because the sauce ratio gets off some how. The garlic knot's are tasty & employees are friendly. A few things I wish they would do or change to make pick up easier is having a dedicated sign or line that says order pick up here! Because it's a very tiny grab & go place in Desert Ridge the line can get crazy and people get angry thinking your trying to cut them in line when your just there trying to pick up your pie, So this would be a simple and more effective tip for the management to take into consideration :) read more
