Super tiny amount you could barely taste it! So I ordered extra crab on the side.... small container of it cost $5!!!!! Not to mention, they don't let you buy some of their lunch soup like the thai resto before them! This is probably the last time I will ever order from this thai resto. There are tons of better places like this anyway with people with great and friendly personality.. This place sucks over all!!!!! Wow, I see my old review.. I'm not deleting it.. Recently, I have ordered four times from this place within two weeks.. I ordered the same things each time but the last time, I ordered more food/ other dishes.. My total was over $100.. the woman that took my order gave me a hard time and guilt tripped me because I asked for some extra pineapple for pineapple fried rice and extra broth for my soup.. she totally gave me a hard time. She didn't even put my order in until my husband got there and paid for it- SHE DOUBTED THAT WE WOULD PICK UP OUR FAMILY DINNER!!!!! Why did I even give this place a try again? I feel like an idiot! That woman is not good for business. She made me feel so bad ordering from them. The point of ordering over the phone is so when we get there, the wait time would be minimal. But no, she didn't trust that we would get our food.. So my husband had to wait for a long ass time! And the fried rice sucked! I don't think thai people cook their food. It definitely doesn't taste like thai food. The guy that took my order the last two times was amazing. I wish that he would be the one taking ordes all the time. But I think I'm done with this place.

Our time that we went, it was busy and they did have plenty of people who were waiting. It does tend to get busy on weekends. I do like chicken a lot after all these years and thats what I had. It would have been five, but the waitress never brought us our appetizer so we had to ask that it would be removed from the bill at the end. The fried mushrooms were heavily greased, and was not seasoned at all and it made it seem like we were biting into nothing but crunchy oil. Was not appetizing. But it was pretty lol The crab fried rice was pretty good. I guess it was one of their specialties. The service was extremely slow. Seems like it would benefit for them to hire a few more people to run tables as it was very obvious that they could not handle the DoorDash orders along with what was going on inside of the restaurant. We had seen some people step out of the kitchen to assist with the DoorDash orders and help the girls in the front organize things. And unfortunately, the DoorDashers had to wait around for a really long time and probably ended up not getting a tip and a bad review due to the delay. Though the food did come out fast! However, it took us about 30 minutes just to get our bill. We actually never really got the Bill. We had walked up to the employees and asked if we can pay for a bill.

First of all, the restaurant itself might look like a hole in the wall from the outside, but, don't be fooled! Stepping inside, I found a bright and cheery (about 5 table?) dining room with a small additional alcove room where a couple of tables were filled with ladies who lunch. The hostess/wait person was so friendly and welcoming, bringing us a nice cold bottle of water right away. Then, the menu. We went with the lunch specials. II ordered the classic pad Thai with shrimp. The shrimp (about 4) were plump and not overcooked, the rest of the items that we all know from a traditional pad Thai were all fresh, the plate well composed. A real winner. The special included a side so we both had the Tom Kha with chicken. It did not disappoint, what with a savory coconut broth, and red onion balanced off the mushrooms, lemon grass, galangal. The chicken was generously portioned. My son had the pad se ew with pork belly. This dish also was a standout, with crispy edged pork belly and tender meat being the star of the show. The flat noodles also had a nice chewy, neither underdone nor overdone but just right. It was laced with a soy sauce and some sweetness running in the background. We also had a crisp salad with a balanced dressing (sweet and sour tasting). All for $15.99 (that's the base price, shrimp and pork belly are extra). We will definitely go back to try the curries. The drunken noodles and the roti also beckon.

Both dishes I would definitely get again and again. Rainbow salad is a clear vermicelli noodle (made from mung bean) salad with prawns and ground chicken or pork in a lemon/vinaigrette fish sauce, topped with thinly sliced red onions, fried shallots and cilantro. This was my favorite dish and soooo good that I think I would order this every time I return here! It had layers of umami depth with just the right mix of spicy heat. Shrimp were sizeable and not overcooked and the ground meat was seasoned very nicely. Khao Poon is a rice vermicelli noodle soup in a coconut curry broth with ground chicken, topped with thinly cut cabbage, scallions, bean sprouts and fresh mint leaves. At medium spice level, there was still enough heat to satisfy those that like a higher spice level. Broth was perfect, not watered down nor too salty. The takeout order for this separated the noodles and veggie/herb toppings from the broth and chicken so it doesn't get soggy and you can assemble when ready to eat. Based on how well these two dishes were made, I can't wait to return to try their other dishes. They also seem to have some breakfast specials which seem really good, like a grilled Laos sausage with an omelette over rice.
