The outside of this place is unassuming and sure doesn't stand out in the area but once you walk inside this place is a gem. Bar is clean and comfortable, the decor really gives it the rock climbing feel, there's a small area for live music and a cool loft upstairs ( although we only saw it from below). Beer and a quesadilla after spending the last 48 hours backpacking through Red River Gorge?! Yes please! This place is quite a find. And the food is fantastic! Not to mention they have about 10 local craft beers on tap (West Sixth Brewery - Lexington, KY). I started with the Amos Moses Brown Ale, which was tasty, and then moved on to something lighter - the Cougar Bait, wish was a Blonde Belgian Ale. With it being hot outside, the Cougar Bait was a little more refreshing, but both beers were good. I started with their cole slaw, which is a pretty enormous portion size, and tastes just like traditional cole slaw. After backpacking in the heat for a couple days, I really just wanted something cool and refreshing, and this did the trick. But of course I didn't just stop there, I ordered their Aztec Quesadilla with shredded beef and it was sooooooo good. It comes with a side of sour cream and salsa, and I couldn't have inhaled it fast enough. If you're in the area and looking for something to eat and a cold beer, definitely check this place out. The people who work here are really friendly and helpful, and they make you feel right at home. Highly recommended! read more

The interior is hip and very welcoming and the staff made me feel like I was part of their friend group, sharing hiking advice with me and everything. Looking for THE place to have a couple local beers before & after your hike, this is the place. They have a great selection of local beers and you can get hummus a pretty good beef hotdog if you wish to come back after the haul. Beers are good, all Local. Burgers were absolutely delicious! Unfortunately the Nachos were far from even OK, and unfortunately that was what I ordered for my entree. This is a nice place to stop in if you're hungry after a hike at the Gorge! The staff was friendly and provided excellent service. I'm giving this place 3 stars because while the food was good, it wasn't anything too special. My boyfriend and I went here twice, once for lunch and the second for breakfast. For lunch we got the BBQ chicken quesadilla. The chicken was good and tasted like it had been prepared in a slow cooker. I'd say there was a good amount of chicken in the quesadilla.. almost too much chicken and not enough cheese - but maybe that's because I love cheese and can't get enough of it!! When we went for breakfast I got eggs over easy, toast, bacon and potatoes. The potatoes were a little to crunchy in my book but the eggs were cooked perfectly! My boyfriend got the breakfast burrito which looked DELICIOUS and was definitely the move. Overall, neat little place that is conveniently located not too far from the hiking trails. This was the last stop for us after hiking 3 days near chimney rock. So glad we didn't just pass it up on our way back home. They have a good local brew selection & a FOOD menu. We shared the loaded hummus, which I thought was a bit pricey being over $9 but was so hungry and they knew it! Thought it was cool environment & much needed establishment for the area, whether residents, hikers, out-of-towners, etc. I'm sure the hostel side is used often. I'll be back! read more

Visiting from out of town and looked up places to eat and this place sounded good until we arrived and went inside and was told to put a mask on . They wouldn't let u in til u did which made no sense when the cook wasn't wearing one ! Also we looked into the kitchen and all the food was just sitting out on a table not on ice or any lids on top. It was 90 degrees out ! People were very unfriendly ! Very sad that they are mandating a mask in this po-dunk place ! I'll never recommend this place EVER ! The owner must be a piece of shit !! We wanted to like this place, but the staff was very unfriendly and rude, the food was just okay (far overpriced for such basic hot dogs...), and we had to wait a very long time for the food (only a few people in the restaurant at the time). People that came in after us got there food way before us! By the time they started bringing out our food, we were told that they were out of burgers (even though they had just served some to a couple who arrived after us), so we had to wait another 20 minutes for them to fix and bring out the new order of a different item. Overall, the rude staff/hostess, the bad customer service, and the long wait time made us cross this place off the list...will never return. I see a lot of positive reviews here, so I'm glad so many others had good experiences...maybe it was an off day for them... read more

They where a very good place to eat with kids while we here in the gorge. They have the best humus I have ever had. My family and I will definitely go back. The people were nice and had very good service. The wait was a bit to long waiting to order and for the food but that problem was because there were a lot of people. If you are in the area come by there because you will be amazed by the great service and wonderful food. It is a good place for family and friend to go eat for a casual dinner together. Exactly what it's supposed to be! A great place to take a load off, is easily the perfect meeting place for friends before and/or after a trek or pitch. They have a straight forward menu that truly offers something for everyone; doesn't duplicate other local offerings, doesn't try to offer everything. The food is top notch and the service is friendly with a balance of ease and attention. The beer selection is outstanding; unmatched if you appreciate ky proud businesses and great craft beer on draught. They also have a wonderful modest offering of supplies in the KRAG corner. My husband and I recently stayed here and the service was spectacular and the rooms in the hostel were clean and comfortable. Can't beat the price for $17/bed. Good place for either a nights rest, to grab a beer, or stock up on equipment before going into the Gorge. My husband and I stopped in for a quick bite to eat on a Saturday before we went kayaking with a group of friends. We arrived before their grill had a chance to heat up, so they suggested we try one of the other local eateries since we were on a time crunch, but encouraged us to come back later that night for live music. After our kayaking adventure the group had to decide between Miguel's, Red River Rockhouse, or Sky Bridge Station for dinner and drinks. Most of the group hadn't been to Sky Bridge Station but had heard great things so off we went. This is why they get five stars: 1) Sky Bridge Station is located on the Wolfe County side of the RRG, the only wet county around so they had a ton of local beer on tap and bottles and cans of domestics for the less adventurous. 2) They specialize in gourmet hotdogs and quesadillas which are delicious and unique compared to any other place near the RRG! Try the Aztec quesadilla or the epic journey dog. They have several vegetarian options also, the vegetarian nachos were amazing! 3) They typically play bluegrass music! When we arrived they had Tony Rice Pandora playing and a few hours and beers later they changed to Sublime Pandora! Anyone with that solid a taste in music is a winner in my book! 4) They are the nicest people! First I was impressed that they encouraged us to visit their competition, initially. (Support Local!) Then, when my husband and I came back after our kayak trip they recognized us with a "Hey! You're back!" I told them we had 7 more coming and they handled our huge party with ease. I spoke with one of the owners, Clifton, for a minute and he was very genuine and seemed like he is living his dream in the RRG. A few tips: 1) The kitchen doesn't open until noon. 2) They will take your food order from your table, but you have to walk up to the bar to order beer. 3) They sort of operate on the honors system with your order, so be honest! All in all they have a great thing going and I wish them many, many years of continued success. I can't wait to go back! read more

We usually have our dog with us and it's nice to go here for a bite to eat after or in between hikes! They even had a dog water bowl out... which is very nice of them. A must visit if you're in the area. We went on a half day climbing trip run through it and could not have been more satisfied. After the climbing, we were famished and decided to eat lunch here. We ordered the Aztec quesadillas and the chicken nachos. The flavors were amazing, especially the jalapeños in the quesadillas. I was not impressed with this place at all personally. I felt it wasn't an atmosphere I would personally want to go to again and sadly that's pretty much it. Came here after hiking up sky bridge with a friend and want to get a bite to eat before we head back to Lexington. First the directions were wrong because it's not located where it says it is. Second when we walked in to sit down pretty much it took about 10 minutes before someone even came up to us and asked us if we wanted anything. Then they go to tell us that there is no fee for the day which eliminates a few options which was not pleasing to me. So I land of ordering the pizza hotdog and chips and salsa. Took them about six minutes to bring her food out and you know they gave us a fork which was nice and asked us if we wanted a knife with that which I decline I ate it like a normal hotdog I would. First bite into the pizza hot dog I was just really upset because they did not even heat the cheese or the sauce in the middle just the hotdog was hot that was it which through off my experience because I believe everything should've been warm not lukewarm. Oh did I mention I never received my chips and salsa? Yeah apparently they just forgot about it and I didn't even pay for it I just told him I had a hotdog and a drink. When we checked out they didn't even know what we had to eat I could've lied about the entire time they write up tickets and didn't even have it at the register or give it to us before we left like a normal restaurant this is laziness at its best and personally not something you should see at a restaurant. I understand maybe this place gets five stars because it's a cheap way to it now camp out before going hiking again but personally I would not come back here for anything you experience out the cooks everyone who work there pretty much stayed in the kitchen no one really came out and even had a conversation with us maybe cause I'm not dressed like some hiker person but that should not be a reason to treat someone like they don't exist in your place. I feel they need to get their manners in order and maybe even expand their menu a little bit more like some hamburgers or something because six dollars for you know a hotdog that wasn't even really warm is my experiences just sad.
