This fine patriotic establishment was a welcoming space for my kind of people. I walked in wearing my MAGA hat and daddy trump shirt. I immediately felt at home because the coffee shop gave spiritually Israel vibes. I ordered a black coffee and it was a kirkalicious. However, while claiming my drink and saying thank you, only to receive the Erika Kirk eyes from a worker. I was smitten immediately (don't tell my wife). I felt the butterflies that I hadn't felt in a very long time...I sat down with my fellow patriots and was slightly disappointed by the lack of board games. However don't worry, we spent the conversation talking about our martyr, Charlie Kirk. May he rest in peace. We requested the we are charlie king song but they refused to play it so we stormed out of the coffee shop. read more

We stop here every time we're in the gorge!! Love this place! Staff is super friendly and always work with me to make something different and special. Store is nice way to kill some time while waiting on coffee. Now the best part, their coffee!! It's definitely top of my list for the best! I get so excited when I know we're heading that way bc I want Boone coffee Ambiance is average. It's a small space so finding seating is usually next to impossible. We usually walk through the shop and leave once we have our drinks. We stopped here before we left to go home after stay at the cabin in Red River Gorge. My friend told me about this place. We decided to get some breakfast. I ordered breakfast sandwich of sausage and everything bagel with egg and cheese and also drip coffee. They were really good. Shop is open at 7am on Saturday and Sundays and 8am Mon-Fri. I was hoping to get a coffee earlier than 8am during the week (have small children so I'm up early) but waited. Friendly staff took my order. Really enjoyed our latte and cortado. If you add syrup, or get a milk alternative, it costs extra. The breakfast sandwich and French toast were good and only $7 each. Great place to grab pretty much most of what you need when you visit for some camping gear odds and ends, souvenir, breakfast food, snacks, coffee, a place to camp, buy art form local artists, buy your alcohol on days they sell them, and check in at your Scenic cabin rental. This place has grown over the years and can get very busy on peak times such as breakfast time around 9-10, the lines can get long so plan your hunger ahead. They also sell firewood and so much more. Yes they have WiFi. They have fancy artsy restrooms, and they continue to evolve. Staff is very friendly. Be mindful of some Of the pricing and ask questions and the staff will be more than happy to help. Big fan of the breakfast burrito. The avocado toast is basic but I bet it tastes good ;) If you dine in they offer in a plastic container so my e you can keep and reuse it don't throw it away and be a sustainable steward. Came to slade with some friends and as a self-proclaimed coffee snob, I was BLOW AWAY by the quality of everything at Daniel Boone. We even had to get a drink on the way out. I tried an oat milk mocha, half sweetness, both iced and hot, and it's one of the best I've had in a while. We also tried their drip coffee, americano, breakfast burrito, and a few baked goods. I came here to buy some bourbon but settled on some local beer. The next day I actually climbed Natural Bridge on a run nearby from the Quiet Waters log cabin, which was about 5 miles. This coffee shop is also a liquor store, with lots of local trinkets and crafts from potters, etc. This place is really cute and right off the main road. If you are here for coffee they have an assortment of pastries, muffins, and you name it to satiate your morning or afternoon post caffeinated cravings. Great service too. As far as Bourbon goes: I was impressed with the selection, tho was told the markup was 5-10% above market, which makes since since bourbon is a a bit of an eclectic thing. They had selections to fit every price point with bottles as high as $900 from old time local distilleries like Weller. I don't have that kind of a budget, but these were behind a locked glass case. This is a must stop for anyone going in or around the gorge! The coffee shop does get busy in the morning but the wait is worth it. We got coffee, biscuit and gravy, bacon, a green smoothie and a breakfast burrito! All of it was delicious. There are 2 areas of seating and a back porch. The staff is extremely nice as well! In my many years of visiting the Gorge, I've never come to this establishment. This past weekend we finally tried it with the family. The gift shop is great! Lots of options from small makers. Lots of craft drinks and snacks. I picked up artwork and a few other items. The coffee was a 5/10 for my partner and I. The selection was nice, but everything was quite sweet and didn't have a rich coffee flavor. The food came out quickly, in fact quicker than expected for how busy they were! The food was a 3/10 we ordered two breakfast sandwiches. One on a biscuit and one on Texas toast. We also ordered the breakfast burrito. My spouse said it tasted like hospital food, and I agree. All in all, it's great to support local businesses. While we weren't super happy with the food or coffee, we enjoyed the atmosphere and prompt service. read more

This is a hidden gem. I did not expect the little country store coffee shop atmosphere. It was very welcoming and enjoyable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My wife due to dairy allergies. Got the breakfast burrito without the burrito just in a bowl. I got the beer cheese sandwich on Texas toast. For two dollars more you could add bacon, but I chose to add ham instead. This is such a cute coffee shop with DELICIOUS baked goods and so many other goods to peruse - clothes, candles, jewelry, etc. My favorite baked good was the cinnamon roll muffin, highly recommend! Place was fun. Definitely fit the area that it is settled in the Daniel Boone National Forrest. I love the outdoors and there it was. Nice gift shop. My coffee beverage, which is local to the coffee shop itself was excellent. I generally don't get cold beverages and this was good. My wife and I love the board with sleeves donating forward a beverage to someone else. The fact that they wrote a note of encouragement or to share a life experience was fantastic. I used one that said for someone who has lost someone from cancer. Very special and thoughtful. The server was polite but not very talkative. read more

Enjoyed this spot for breakfast I struggled with my decision of waffle or biscuits and gravy. I ended up going with the Belgian waffle and I was not disappointed. It was had a crispy outside, sweet and fluffy inside. Daughter #1 enjoyed her bacon egg and cheese sandwich on Texas toast. She wished her toast was a little more toasty--but otherwise thought the sandwich and ingredients were fresh and delicious. Daughter #3 had oatmeal with no toppings. She later regretted that and asked for syrup to pour over her oatmeal and they were happy to provide that. What a cozy little spot! We stopped in here for some fuel before our day of hiking. Upon walking through the door, you'll feel like you just stepped into a cute little log cabin out in the wilderness (I mean, you pretty much did.) They have all kinds of coffee options as well as food. I tried their hot chocolate and it was perfect for warming me up from the chilly weather. It was pretty busy when we came in on a Saturday, and I can tell that it is a pretty popular spot to anyone visiting the area. To the left you'll find a gift shop, with all kinds of souvenirs and camping/hiking equipment. Also some Kentucky-themed knick knacks! I'm so glad this coffee shop exists! I looked around the store while my friends were in line for coffee and breakfast. I loved checking out the magnets and other random stuff they have for sale inside. I ended up ordering an iced coffee with a splash of oat milk and it was really delicious - better than most iced coffees I've had. A couple of my friends got food (a bagel and a breakfast burrito, I believe) and they both said the food was great, too! The line will likely be long when you stop in on a weekend morning, but they move everyone through pretty quickly. We weren't in line too long and there's interesting things to look and read along the way anyway. There's more seating than meets the eye. Up near the cashier, you'll see some seating options to the right, but if you turn around the corner, you'll find another whole section of seating options, so don't let that deter you from staying awhile! read more

We stopped for a quick lunch in between hiking trails. The ladies working at Teddi were very friendly and helpful. I had the best cortadito (espresso with lots of foam and a dollop of dairy) - best coffee in the 21-days of our trip. My husband had the chicken salad sandwich & chicken noodle soup. I had the grilled cheese sandwich (picante) and the broccoli cheddar soup. To close the deal we shared a "Louis & Clark" milkshake and I had a second cortadito. Simple, fresh, and tasty. This place was highly recommended through yelp. It is about a 40 minute drive from Richmond, Kentucky and it was well worth it. The ladies behind the counter did an excellent job finding a coffee, strong enough for myself and my son. The food items we got were also excellent. Adorable place and I love the donation board, however the food situation was disappointing this time. They had a busy weekend and were out of multiple key menu items like French toast and breakfast wraps (we came in planning on French toast and an egg wrap). It's unfortunate they didn't send someone out to the Kroger 13min away to pick up some wraps and bread so they could take care of their customers. I ended up ordering an omelette with avocado. The omelette was fine but the avocado tasted well past its useful life and not edible. My daughter had the biscuits and gravy and didn't care for the dish. Their sign says they're a bakery, but upon asking, they said the biscuits aren't home-made. Also, despite eating in the dining room (not take-out), everything was served in plastic take-out containers, with plastic baggies of plastic cutlery. What a waste of plastic. read more
