I was looking to get a pepperoni roll, heard they had great ones, but.....I got there too early. So, just so you know, they put them out after 10 AM! I've noted that for next time. In the meantime, though, I got one of the most delicious cinnamon rolls I've ever had. Very cinnamonny, soft but also chewy, and it was just a delight. I got a side of bacon with it. "side" means like 8 pieces. Lol. Picked up one of their banana puddings, too, because I couldn't resist. And all of it together was around $8. What a deal! They've got other food and the donut case was full of incredible looking donuts, and I'm ready to get back there soon! The only negative thing I would say is that while the toilet and the sink were clean, the rest of the bathroom....needed a paint job or something. Favorite little west end market, making it a must stop for fresh donuts for anytime sweet treats. Also, good eats from the hot deli and cold deli to take out. Sometimes there are local made jams or jellies that make for nice local gifts. LOVE this little corner spot that screams old time WV with friendly staff. read more

The donuts are considered to be the best in the tri- state. A perfect spot to grab sandwiches or chicken for lunch or dinner. The service was pleasant enough and the staff helpful. As for a place to get last minute items, this is not the place. Everyday items are over priced and you're better off going back to the grocery store to obtain forgotten items. The inside of the store has a smell that's less than appealing. A couple of minutes in the establishment and you smell like the chicken for which they are known. I recently started a new job down the street and my co workers recommended we go here. Im new in town and don't know many places besides chain fast food joints. This place was phenomenal. I love hometown deli's and am so thankful to have found this best kept secret. The woman who took my order was the sweetest even though they were extremely busy. She even carried my sandwiches to the register because my hands were full. The cookies were MASSIVE and equally as delicious as my sandwich. I spent $10 on a sandwich, massive cookie and soda. We had heard of this place, about how good the fried chicken was & wanted to try it. Unfortunately they have no website nor is their menu on-line anywhere! We got there close to closing time, so the fact there was nothing from the kitchen available, is our own fault. We bought about 6 leftover cream horns, 2 packages of leftover cinnamon rolls, and a box of a dozen donuts that the guy behind the counter told us he had marked down as this was all that was left over from today. They were definitely leftovers but NOT from today!!! Because of all the flies that were flying in & out of the display cases, both the meat & the pastry, I was glad we got there late & we're unable to get anything from "the kitchen!! I understand this place is basically just a convenience store that sells some sandwiches, specials, & pastries, but it leaves a lot to be desired as far as cleanliness & food safety is concerned! This place is AMAZING! Their donuts are the BEST around hands down. If more people knew about this place and/or we had a bigger population or tourist industry around here they would be like the Krispy Kreme at Myrtle Beach years ago before you could find their donuts in every gas station and Wal-Mart. They're THAT GOOD! The line would be around the block! And it's not just the donuts, the chicken, sandwiches and other items on their menu are just as good. It's nice they have a few odds and ends, drinks and snacks, smokes etc. if that's what you need but I have to believe it's the cooking that keeps them in business and if you haven't tried it, what are you waiting for?
