Nice little place. Lots of local artists' art on the walls. Perfect after hiking Red River Gorge. The burger was very good and the veggies on it were fresh and crisp! The kale salad was tasty but the chicken was a little dry. The Ale8 ginger ale hit the spot! Ordered up front and got #31. We weren't seated very long at all when the food came out. All the workers were very nice. I'd come back! read more

Decent food, fun place. Great customer service. We brought our dog after a hike which was great. Not a ton of food options but enough to get by read more

We decided to grab some tacos and a chicken burrito for dinner. Customer service was awesome! All the food was portioned appropriately to price we paid. They offer alcohol on their menu, but not on Sundays. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner experience last night, and I'm sure we'll return oneday. @ noirvedanaturals read more

Red River Rockhouse - The aftermath... - New American Near Me - Campton, Kentucky

We stopped here on a Sunday after hiking around Red River Gorge. My husband was disappointed that they don't sell beer on Sundays :( But that's ok... the food made up for it! We both had burgers... delicious! Try the Garlic pepper cheese if you can! I got the plate with fries, my husband just got a burger. The plate with fries was HUGE! We shared and still had left overs. There are tables and picnic tables out front, and a partially enclosed deck area around the side. We would highly recommend! read more

Red River Rockhouse - Yum! Cheese burger with garlic pepper cheese. And plenty of fries! - New American Near Me - Campton, Kentucky

Gigantic burrito. Wonderful service. Very laid back & has nice outdoor seating. We didn't drink this time around but seems like a nice beer selection as well! read more

I got sick after eating here and I suspect food poisoning. Tacos were absolutely terrible and tasteless anyway and I found hair on my plate. There aren't many restaurants in the area, but I would never come here again honestly. read more

We were really looking forward to eating here after a two hour hike on a 91° day. I'd read the reviews on the Garlic burger and knew that was what I'd have. My husband and I both ordered one. He also got regular fries and I did the sweet potato. The service staff was kind and helpful. I loved the way the restaurant was set up with indoor or outdoor seating. It was clean and fresh. The fries were great. The beer my husband order was nice and cold and refreshing. But the burgers, the main part of this meal...we each did a double.....someone doesn't know how to cook smash burgers. They were cooked so hard and dried out. They had flavor but they were so salty and this says a lot. I use a lot of natural salt in my diet every day; this was overkill. But on top of my burger being cooked past well done, the salt put the nail in the coffin. I was really disappointed. A nice juicy smash burger sounded so good, and it wasn't. When ya spend almost $60 for 2 double grass fed beef hamburger and fries and one beer...we expect a better meal. Maybe it was an off day for the cook or maybe this is how they are done all the time. We weren't asked how we wanted them done, which is kind of hard with smash burgers. You need to know how to cook them. If I was to give it a "next time" I'd mention to them how I cook want my meat done. There's a lot of good reviews. Maybe it was just an off day. So consider yourself forewarned if you're looking for a juicy burger. read more

This was a delightful little restaurant we found during our recent trip to Red River Gorge. Rockhouse is an American cafe with many burger options as well as tacos, and sandwiches. I went with the Bacon Cheese Burger and fries. You could top it with a variety of toppings. I went with cheddar cheese, bacon, and mayo. The burger itself was excellent as it was juicy and flavourful as was the bacon. The fries were quite good as well. It was very reminiscent of a 5 Guys burger and fries which is definitely a good thing. The service was excellent and the restaurant was understated yet very clean and of course in a beautiful location. All in all this was a great lunch after a long, fun day of hiking. High recommendation for Rockhouse. read more

Wow this place is amazing. Came here and ordered the cheeseburger combo with fries: half regular and half sweet potatoes. The fries were amazing, fresh, and cooked to perfection. The burger was tasty and delicious. It came with tomatoes, pickles, american cheese, and onions. I was completely satisfied with the food. I had an Ale8 for drink. I also had salsa and chips, it was delicious The only con that i see is that there is limited indoors seating and it could get hectic and take some time to get a place to sit with your party to enjoy the food. Otherwise, everything was spectacular and amazing, especially in the middle of nowhere KY : ) read more

Love this place, has many food options and the staff is always so welcoming and friendly. Burger is my favorite

Huge burrito and good! DO NOT ORDER A SIDE OF SALSA OR GUACAMOLE. The serving is extremely small! It is more economical to just order the regular order of guacamole or salsa. The chips were crispy and so fresh. read more

We both ended up getting cheeseburgers and they were very good. We made one of them combo and got the fries. There were so many fries we couldn't finish them all. We got a mix between the regular fries and sweet potatoe fries. The were both very good but I preferred the sweet potato ones. read more

Ordered the superblarge burrito to share with hubby. Asked for and paid extra for sour cream and salsa. When it came to table to serve by a lady, I asked where is sour cream and salsa? She said it is inside the burrito. She lied or someone lied to her. No sour cream and no salsa. I paid for that extra. I will not return. read more

Red River Rockhouse really impressed us. It's just a burger place, but they were highly efficient and friendly. When we walked in, we saw the menu choices on a chalkboard so by the time we got to the counter, we were ready to order. The cashier taking our order was very friendly but kept the line moving. A very short time later, our cheeseburgers were delivered to our table. The beef patty and bun were good but the cheese was the star of the show! It was loaded up on the burger, then spilled over the side so the edges got crispy on the cooktop...delicious! We don't live in the area, but I would definitely suggest people check it out when you're in the area! read more

After a fun day doing some cavern kayaking, we were hungry for some lunch. We had heard this place was pretty solid, and pretty solid it was! We got in just in time, it started pouring rain soon after. There's an area with the menu on a huge board where you go place your order, and then to the left an area where you go take a seat. We got lucky and were able to get a table. The space is kind of tight, but efficient, and the ambiance is pretty standard is the best way I can describe it. We started with some chips and salsa, and they were pretty good. For my entree I got the garlic pepper cheddar cheeseburger. It was good, but I think the title and description makes it sound a little better and punchier than what it was. The fries I got with it were also pretty tasty. My husband's little cousins got some tacos that they very much enjoyed. Overall this is a very solid food option at The Gorge, I would definitely come back next time I'm in the area. read more

Everything was amazing! My BLT with Chipotle mayo and sweet potato fries were soooo good! My daughter got a salad and it was huge!

Kind of blown away. Truly in the middle of nowhere and you have to go on a gravel road uphill one way to get there and park a little ways away and possibly wait a long time but it is a great option. Only three or four restaurants in the area that are worth visiting in this has to be the top. read more

We were down in KY and came across this little place. Great burgers and a fun atmosphere. What stands out to me was the staff was very friendly and having a great time singing along to the music laughing and at the same time, cranking out really tasty burgers and fresh cut fries. One of our favorite spots in the Gorge. The service is always so great. The employees are very friendly, fast and anticipate the needs of customers. The food at Rockhouse is always a win too. Maybe a hidden gem? We arrived right as they opened at noon on a Friday and were 2nd or 3rd in line. My wife and I each got a burrito... chicken for her and pork for me. As an afterthought, we got an order of chips with red salsa and let me tell you- it was FIRE! Big chunks of onion and tomato, perfectly seasoned... just SO GOOD! And the chips were (or seemed to be) freshly made. Definitely super crunchy and not out of a bag. Then the burritos came. Oh my, they were ENORMOUS! Such a great value, and very tasty. Rice, beans, great meat, choice of cheese and salsa. Yum! My suggestion... skip the tourist traps and head here instead. read more

A rock climbing vibe restaurant with very delicious food. My wife got the kids taco and kale combo for a light yet flavorful meal and I got the garlic pepper cheeseburger with fries for a heartier dish. Both were fantastic. Had an Ale8 to drink and highly recommend as something a little different to soda. Also highly recommend the Nutella brownie for the chocolate lovers. It was a rich dense brownie with that lil bit of Nutella inside to really round out the flavor. read more

Wonderful place at red river gorge! We had my sons wedding reception there and the people were so friendly and accommodating! It was a party of about 18 and we all fit! Just perfect! We've been here our last three trips to Red River Gorge and have yet to have a bad meal. The service is always great as well! Indoor and outdoor seating. Last time we tried the burger/veggie burger and fries and they were delicious. This time we tried their burritos - SO good! We kept talking about how it's our favorite place for food in RRG. As a couple with one vegetarian, it's also a great option as they have plenty of options for each! Highly recommend - it's our favorite place to eat here. read more

Our first time here for Sunday lunch! It was crowded but the service was spot on, friendly and quick. We got some of the review recommended choices including beef tacos, the kids quesadilla, the hummus wrap and of course the fatty burrito with chicken! The dishes were nicely presented and every bite was fresh and melt in your mouth good! We especially love the fact that as much as can be, is locally sourced. This is great for us foodies and for the community too! Obviously the place's rep is solid because the place was full by the time we left! Kid friendly too. Plenty of inside and outside seating! Gotta stop here when its not Sunday so we can get a beverage of the spirited kind! But even on a sunny Sunday the food and ambiance is off-the-hook! read more
