I haven't been here since Covid but it used to be one of the places I eat regularly. They've always had outdoor seating and the staff have always been clean, the restaurant fairly tidy, and just a nice place with people I'd like to support. I'm not giving it five stars because it's not a five-star restaurant it's a diner and so if you're looking for a filet mignon go somewhere else but if you're looking for a great breakfast from good people, check them out read more

Great little spot for breakfast. Our server Amanda was friendly and awesome :) We had 7 different breakfasts in our party and they were all yummy and under $8 each. The country potatoes are deep-fried and crispy but not greasy. Nothing was gluttonously huge- just the right size to fill you up and a good value. The fluffy crispy waffles are worthy of their own menu. We were told that the menu is very customizable. For instance, next time I will try the hawaiian pancakes with coconut and pineapple, but have them as a waffle instead. Breakfast is served 6am to 3pm as is lunch. Perfect for people like me- I love to go out for breakfast, but can't seem to get my ass there before noon. Wi-fi is free which is very appreciated in an area that has sketchy phone service. I wish we had tried Skillets on our first day in town instead of our last. I look forward to eating there again. read more

We ate here a few weeks ago, normally good food and service. It was getting closer to lunch time and there was a wait. No big deal. Waited about 20 minutes for a table. The waitress clearly seemed rushed (maybe due to a large crowd). She took our drink order as soon as we sat down and said she would give us a few minutes to figure out what we want to eat. She came back about a minute later hoping we were ready to order (definitely feeling a little rushed, but no big deal at this point). We ordered. Food came out fairly quickly. Food was good. As soon as we were done eating she quickly got rid of the plates (again, rushed, but efficient, which I get and can appreciate). They had filled up my coffee right before they took the plates away. Less than 2 minutes go by and the waitress comes back asking if we would leave due to them being busy. I hadn't even finished half my coffee and we were being asked to leave. The way she said it also came across a little rude. We only intended to finish the coffee and go, but didn't even get to do that. There were other people at the restaurant way longer than us. I totally get her feeling rushed due to there being a line of people outside, but to ask us to leave so they can let other people in? Did she ask other people to leave when we were waiting outside? That's not how you do business. We used to really like this place. Unfortunately this one instance crossed this restaurant off our list of local breakfast spots. Hopefully this waitress learns from this and doesn't treat someone else like this. read more

Great experience from beginning till the end. We felt very well taken care of, you can tell this is a family restaurant. Their coffee was so good and everything down to the bread and butter was delicious. Everyone loved their food and I appreciated seeing a family business thrive. We popped by here after the Sonoma County Hot Air Balloon Classic. Long line but they we're still really quick to get everyone seated and fed. I had a breakfast burrito that was roughly the size of a toddler's torso. It was soooo good! If I'm ever back there will definitely stop at Skillets again. read more

During the 18+ years I lived in Windsor, this spot was three different restaurants. I think that trend is finally over. Skillets is a small, mom-and-pop joint that serves breakfast and lunch only. I had he Irish Benedict -- a nice twist to the original made with corned beef instead of Canadian bacon. Perfectly prepared poached eggs, a necessity for a good Benedict, was a good sign! I never saw the bottom of my coffee cup, as our server kept it full and hot. This place is very clean, too! Prices are more than fair. read more

We had just finished a run and were starving! I found Skillets via Yelp and was not disappointed. I knew it was a good sign when the place was hopping at 10AM on a Wednesday. From the fantastic food to the awesome, friendly service this place is can't miss. The coffee was strong and hot and my cup was never empty. The breakfast burrito was big enough to keep you fueled all day long. Everything was fresh and cooked to perfection. The best part about Skillets is the service. Upon walking in it was obvious there were a good number of "regulars". The server greeted folks by name and even knew their birthdays. With that being said, she treated us like we were long, lost friends and made us feel a part of the group. We get to Sonoma County about once a year and I will definitely make sure we pay another to visit to Skillets next August! read more

Good food huge portions! I had the southern skillet which features chicken fried steak smothered with sausage gravy and bacon and scrambled eggs served with toast Hearty portions! The steak was nice and tender and the breaking was on point. A couple of the home potatoes were undercooked and still hard and the rest I thought weren't that inspired or spiced, but the meal was huge and tasted good! My girlfriend had the chili and avocado omelette and she loved it. It was massive also and she couldn't finish half of it. She said it was delicious and it looked really hearty. Skillets is good and not that bad of a place. They have a good variety to choose from and service has always been very welcoming. We eat out to breakfast a lot at different places in the bay area. Compared to all, Skillets is ok and we do return. They have outside eating due to COVID and inside if you prefer. Nothing fancy just consistent and decent breakfast. read more

We've been in a hotel the past three days- and had breakfast the past three days. The woman who worked there (wish I asked her name) made me feel welcome (from Washington DC) and was very sweet.
