Horrible! That is the one word that discribes this place to a tee. First of all, I attended this restaurant in the middle of the afternoon on a weekday and was pleasantly surprised that there were only a handful of people in there. That was the only thing that went good there. After paying, I sat near the far corner only to find two workers huddled in that corner eating as if they snatched some food off of the salad bar and snuck it to a table in the back. I didn't have a problem with that until one of them turned towards me and introduced herself as our waitress, came over and asked if we needed anything, then went back to her table which was right next to mines, sat down, and continued her conversation and food. The all-you-can eat steak and shrimp was bad. The shrimp was salty as can be, and the steak..... OMG! First of all it was tiny and looked like a bow tie. I have had bones bigger than the portion that they brought me. A gentleman that identified himself as the manager came over with a broom and dustpan and asked me if my food was okay. When I asked him if he saw anything wrong with my plate, he looked at it and said "sometimes the 6 ounce steak shrinks during cooking." Awesome! To make a long and painfully embarrassing story as short as possible, The salad bar was bad. The claim chowder was watery, the veggies were old, guac was bitter and the bread was hard and hollow. When I asked for a container for my leftovers, which my dogs even turned down, I was told that they were all out and that they could only give me a couple of pieces of tin foil. You can't go wrong with Sizzler, a very great place at a reasonable price. I had a Rib-eye steak which was cooked perfectly, a lot better than some steakhouses I've patronized in the past. Service was quick and friendly. Newly renovated, not to mention they had Monday Night Football on the three flat-screen televisions. My go to spot for great food that certainly won't hurt your pocket. Salad bar was very good and well stocked. Overall cleanliness of the restaurant was up to par. They have the best bread rolls I've ever had. I'm not sure what they do to them but they are creamy and sweet. Their salad bar and service are about average. Their steaks are okay. But since they have the best bread rolls of anywhere I've ever been I had to give them 5 stars. Also my brother used to work here in High School so it has a special place in my heart. read more

Sizzlers is generally garbage, but this place is a joke. We decided to have dinner here to celebrate my fathers birthday, my family arrive first since I got off work late. When I finally get there the doors were locked from the outside, so my brother let me in. Since the doors were locked I thought they were no longer taking orders so I was just going to wait until my family finished up. We had a salad plate at the table that wasn't used yet. My mother suggested I have some food so I did, as soon as I get back to our table a waitress comes to our table (she was very pleasant) notifying us that her manager (who should have came and let us know himself) SENT her to say "My manager said you didn't pay for that food and you need to pay for it if you want to eat it"..now I'm sure she was literally telling me what he said, and as a waitress she shouldn't be responsible for awkward situations like that, that is what HE GETS PAID FOR! if he had came to me and been polite i would have been much more understanding. Since he was an asshole now whatever was in my plate "accidentally" fell on their carpet. have fun cleaning is asshole manager who refused to give me his name!!! read more

It's always been one of my favorite restaurants in the area. The servers are great. My favorite servers are David and Gilbert. Gilbert is so wonderful and always checking on his customers. Not to mention they're both handsome guys. Lol. read more

After seeing this place almost every day driving to work on interstate 80, me and the wife finally had a chance to check this place out. I must say this is the nicest sizzler I've been to. I can't believe I'm giving this place 4 stars. Wasn't expecting to get good service and food. Came here for my father in laws birthday. I haven't been here since high school ( c/o 95) so a lot has changed. The only thing that did not change is their Parmesan toast. Still good and crunchy like I remember. Rico was our server and was very attentive and checked on up on us to make sure we were ok with our meals. I ordered the sirloin steak and veggies which was pretty good. I had the absolute worse service at this Sizzler. Everything was fine until the waitress came to the table. Her name Lua or Nua. This lady was very rude and disrespectful to myself and party. She slammed the salad bar plates on the table, she didn't refill our drinks not one time, she was being very rude and disrespectful to my mother. I was very displeased with her service. I asked for a salad bar plate and it took her 15 minutes to bring it to me. She seem like she didn't want to be at work. She was not personable, she had a terrible attitude, and flat out rude. I have been going to this sizzler ever since I was a little boy so it is about time I review this place. I remember way back when sizzler was the top restaurant to go to in the Pinole strip of food places to choose from. There was the century movie theater, Red Lobster down near Hilltop, and Sizzler. Sizzler was our favorite place to go to because of the salad and ice cream. The Salad bar is especially what drove my parents to go because it was a deal. The food at Sizzler isn't top notch, but it's good enough. One of the reasons I still like sizzler is the idea of having to order at the register and receiving the drinks and salad plates right away than having to order sitting down. Ever since then we don't frequent sizzler that much. We saw the transformation of sizzler becoming a popular place to eat on Fridays and Saturdays to a dull place. I'm not sure what happened but I guess it is the sign of the times or it's not as appealing as before. We did visit recently and they have amped up the prices where you can get a value meal with a salad. However, the atmosphere is the same but I can muster sizzler when the time is right. read more

Wanted to eat out during a in the middle of the week and came here to use a coupon. I like the salad bar for what it is, not too many selections but what is there is not bad. I ordered the steak with endless shrimp since I had a coupon for it for $9.99 which saves $6 off the price and added the endless salad bar. Coming from someone who's eaten at Sizzler for years (uncle used to be a manager and dad was a cook), I'd like to say you should come eat here with your family or for your grandparents birthday. It's that sort of place. It's cozy, has warm lighting, has a friendly environment, and EVERY server is genuinely kind. It's a pay first, then eat kind of place. There are usually new cashiers every now and then, but the few cashiers that have been here a while have been great to my family. There have been some changes to the menu this year. I believe salad bars are about $11 on their own now, but they are $5 bucks with purchase of an entree. They have an ice cream machine! It's only a mess when groups of unsupervised kids choose to play with it. Trust me, I've SEEN this happen. All in all, employees are trying their best there and it's very family oriented. I've eaten at Sizzlers quite a bit over the years. But most of the Sizzlers I went to have closed except for this one in Pinole, CA. The food is typical Sizzler food. I find that the steaks and even the new French Dip sandwich to be pretty salty. But the quality of food is not bad. The one thing that keeps me returning is their well-known salad bar. I love their clam chowder and fried chicken wings. I think these are the two most popular items in the salad bar besides the other salad items. The service, I find to be spotty at times.
