Today was my first time in Sizzler in years. And I went in there with only a $10 gift card. I had a cashier and a server by the names of Sara and Lydia. I'm not sure which one was which but they were both very nice to me. The cashier helped with every step of the way and was patient with me. And my sever was fast and very nice. I responded by simply asking for a meal for me and a guest e.g. lunch to see if the experience would get them a 5 star rating. The salad bar is by far the best thing here for the price. Tacos, nachos, chicken wings (taste like KFC hot wings) and salad galore. A good choice for me. We had a party of 30 people and the service was great. Our server Brandon was super attentive and patient. One person ordered the Salmon and it was burned twice! The manager was a little defensive and almost confrontational when coming to the table. We thought he was going to apologize but no he was there to argue with a female guest. We know the salmon is supposed to be chargrilled but that was dry, over cooked and black on both sides. No excuses! Take responsibility for your kitchen staff and move on. This place is even busy on a Tuesday. The workers try their best to maintain a clean looking olace, but I've observed the customers are just out right nasty and disrespectful. I have gone to few different sizzlers in my time. Been to this one just twice. Both times were really bad and I could not reccomennd anyone go there. Since this establishment is on a street with a dozen or so other resturants, I say find your meal elsewhere. You have a lot better choises to choose from. The food was ok, not great but not terrible either. Its the service that leaves a very bad taste in ones mouth. The 1st visit had occured about 1 hour prior to their closing time. The employees were vaccuming around yhr patrons. Before you know it the pungent stench of amonia filled the air and the employees were literally dumping amonia water on the tile floors and mopping around guests. They said they had to get all of their cleaning done BEFORE closing time.??! Last night i went there. I spent 44 on 2 dinners, I could not eat much of my meal and asked for a to go container. I was given a small paper bag and 2 pieces of aluminum foil. I had a baked potatoe and sauted vegitables. So I went up to the front counter and asked the manager for a to go container. I told him I didn't mind paying for it and explained what I had to bring home. He flat out refused to sell me a to go container even though the cashier showed me one which would have worked well. Nothing is better than stuffing your mouth with 30+ chicken wings!! Fresh bread and delish ice cream to compliment the meal. This place is like the last of the Mohicans. Seeing that its the only Sizzler left in the East Bay. They closed Albany, Concord and Antioch. Its a shame because I love Sizzlers salad bar. Especially the signature deal for $12.99 that comes with a Malibu chicken meal and salad bar. I will usually take my chicken home for later. Thank goodness they brought the chicken wings back to the salad bar. They took them off for awhile and were selling them at a steep price as an add on to a meal. That didn't last. This location is newly remodeled. So its nice and clean. Usually everything is fresh and doesn't seem like it's been out too long. They definitely need a bigger parking lot. I've left before because of no parking or people taking 2 compact spots. The service is ok. Sometimes there on top of it when other days you have to ask your waiter twice for something. Sizzler used to be sizzling, but not so much so anymore. The food quality has decreased a bit, variety is also lacking, and the waiters just don't come by as frequently as they should. Usually we do a Entree (Shrimp) with the endless salad bar. I make 3 or 4 trips before I am full. I think this restaurant would benefit from a menu refresher, as they have had the same items up there for quite some time now. Parking lot is decent size, but way more cars out than customers inside the restaurant, so maybe a park and ditch location? In any case, the clam chowder is good, I would get that if I could buy it by itself (I can't). For now, will go elsewhere to get my sizzle. read more

Horrible experience! My husband and I took our boys to dinner here and honestly I will never be back. The waiter was not hopeful at all. We witnessed people at the table next to us pack up four boxes of hot wings from the salad bar. Then another table of three adults packing two boxes each of salad bar items. As we're eating our dinner my son had left overs including some wings 6 to be exact he had been picking through.We asked our server for two boxes so we could pack up our leftovers. Five minutes passed by we see our server cleaning tables so we asked another server same thing happens he goes on to do something else. Then we get our original server attention and ask him for the boxes he proceeds to tell us that we won't be able to get to go boxes because we have two plates of wings that we want to take. Excuse me no sir that plate is trash because those wing are literally NASTY cold and burnt at that. I tell him go ahead and please take them we don't mind.So as we are sitting there in disbelief we ask for the manager. The manager then comes and we explain to here we literally just saw two other tables pack full boxes of salad bar items and our server didn't mind then. But We simply ask for a box and it's a problem? She goes to explain the same thing we can't give boxes when we see salad bar items on your table I then tell her go ahead and take the plate I need a box for my sons leftovers not your salad bar items , nasty wings at that. At this point I'm pissed first time at a Sizzlers and my last . I then tell the manager if you guys are going to deny customers to go boxes then deny everyone not just the people you decide not to.
