Mountain Mike's in Hercules has been my go-to pizza spot since Extreme Pizza moved. I used to frequent Round Table, but this location became my regular because they usually have good deals and the customer service is typically on point. Most times, they've been great about providing ranch, plates, and cheese at no extra charge, which I always appreciated. However, today's experience was disappointing. When I went in, the gentleman working attempted to charge $1.79 per ranch. I explained that I've never been charged for ranch before, especially when I'm already purchasing pizza. It didn't make sense to me -- I'm sure dine-in customers aren't being charged for ranch, so it feels inconsistent to suddenly charge to-go customers nearly $2 per cup. Especially considering the portion size, which realistically isn't worth that price. Unfortunately, this experience has changed where I'll be spending my money. While Round Table is more expensive, the quality and consistency are there -- and they don't nickel-and-dime customers for basic condiments that should reasonably be included when purchasing pizza. It's unfortunate, because this location had earned my loyalty. But customer service matters, and this situation ultimately cost them a returning customer. read more

I tried this place so you didn't have to... overpriced and underwhelming and just the pizza... the wings... we won't mention the wings... they were that bad... I only ate one and passed on the rest. For what they charged I would have thought the pizza would be good but it wasn't. I was very surprised. Seeing we were unarmed. they turn back to there plates, Just the way I like it. The shop is clean and quiet. No unwanted music. No unruly offspring present. The TV just a smidgen above mute. The FOH employee takes a lot of time cleaning and recleaning surfaces between serving mostly to-go food to guests. The two of us split a small pizza. Just the way I like it. The pizza is served piping hot. It is smartly cut into half half sized slices, making it more fun to keep grabbin another and another. Its a tasty pie. Cheese dripping. Toppings racing to slide off your slice as it reaches your lips. Crust that makes you feel good and want more. Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes. We polished it off and bid farewell. To be clear this review does not reflect the food, I enjoy this pizza and this location. My review has to do with the service provided. My pizza was delivered and after signing the receipt for the pizza I asked for my receipt. The delivery person then started digging through my plants because he crumpled up the receipt and threw it in the plants prior to me asking for it. He then started looking through the plants since I requested the receipt and that's about the sum of it. I called mountain mikes to tell them that I didn't appreciate the interaction at all and wasn't very happy about the situation. I told the person at mountain mikes who apologized profusely that I didn't need her apology and hoped that this would be a learning moment for that driver. Me being a patient individual saw no need to escalate the act that I was witnessed to, however I told her someone else not of my calm demeanor could take action to such an offense. Had it delivered tonight. This pizza is amazing and definitely worth every penny. Had the chicken club pizza which is an absolute must. The pike's peak is delicious as well. Was Asked directly after paying what pizza I want and the All Meat got served out to the buffet. I cleared my own table but I'm sure they'd do it for you since I didn't see any trash bins. Take 2 meats off and I add mushrooms. 18.99 for a small and 2.00 extra for non existent slivers of mushroom. On top of that I also ordered a medium chicken club no tomatoes but they also took out the green onions. This place always leaves off the green onion. I'll never go here again. I have ordered from this Mountain Mike's for a few years now and their service and pizzas are often a hit or miss. I like them for their gluten free pizzas the most- one of the better crusts I've had anywhere. I always order through their website because it is usually most accurate and faster (I would say average 45 minutes from ordering to delivery) compared to when ordering via phone or doordash. I also hardly have any issues like when I ordered gluten free and they delivered regular or when I requested no red sauce (my kid used to hate tomato sauce) and they delivered a pizza with red sauce. As far as delivery speed goes there has only been one time on a regular Sunday night where it took over an hour and thirty minutes to be delivered. I ordered a pizza online at 5:30pm. When it had not arrived at 6:45pm I called to find out what was delaying it. The man I spoke to on the phone said it should be arriving "in a couple of minutes". When it didnt arrive ten minutes later I called again. The woman on the phone then said "it just went out for delivery". The most recent experience could possibly be the deal breaker, though. I'm not sure when they started adding the "safety sticker" but I actually really appreciate it nowadays because with the pandemic going on, of course there is concern about what the pizza is being exposed to, especially if the box is even a little open while in transit due to our household being part of the immunocompromised group. It was unlike the other deliveries - the car was parked out of view of my front door (normally they stop right in front) and it was like a drop and run kind of delivery. So that when I noticed the red seal I couldn't say anything about it. I had a fabulous time at Mountain Mike's today! Jeed was very courteous and took care to make sure that my entire experience was fabulous. The restaurant was very chill and relaxed. I didn't feel rushed and the pizza was amazing! When I ordered the lunch buffet, they asked me if there's a particular Pizza I would like and they made it for me. So I went back upstairs got MY change and gave less of a tip $3 instead of $5 like I was going to for that very greedy interaction. To make things better the one answering the phone was just like a robot & very snappy. Both times I've tried to eat the pizza non heated and heated both made me spit it up. NOT COOKED WHATSOEVER ! Something about Mountain Mikes just hits different! I love their dough and how crispy it is. I always order the half snowy alps and half pineapple chicken luau. They're not stingy on the toppings as you can tell. So loaded! The large came out to be $29 if I remember correctly. So worth! When I arrived there wasn't anyone at the counter. A minute or so passed then a lady came out. I told her that I ordered online and was wondering if my order was ready. I turned my phone to her so she could see my screen... she took my phone with out asking. She handed my phone back to me and said 5 more minutes. I watched her walk back to where they make the pizzas. She did not wash her hands after touching my phone and the cash register. My dad and I came to this location to eat in. I ordered a x large pizza with 2 sodas. The guy working there grabbed cups at the top/tip and handed them over to me. His fingers were touching the very tip of the cups where you put your mouth at. Had to use straws. Next when the pizza came, he gave us dirty plates. I asked for new plates and he took the dirty plates. I he turned around and wiped them with his bare hands. Went0 back to the counter and where we can't see him switch plates.
