Menudo with chips , onions and chili flakes

I've never been to this location before, and I was honestly surprised! Their salad bar has different items compared to other locations--wow. They even have menudo!!! Honestly, their menudo is better than some Mexican restaurants. I also enjoyed the complimentary cheesy toast--I love it at every location. And all the staff here were very friendly and nice!

My wife and I had a great dining experience as we stopped here for an unlimited salad bar lunch. The manager who was working double duty as the cashier was very friendly, welcoming, and professional. Our waiter, Julio, was very polite, hardworking, and had a great attitude. The salad bar, which was smaller than most Sizzler restaurants we have visited but just as good, offered many hot and cold options. Each item I had was fresh, crisp, and delicious. A female employee was observed restocking the salad bar numerous times during our visit. We found a parking spot conveniently located mere feet from the front door; however, the parking lot is rather small, which can pose a challenge during busy business hours. This was a positive and relaxing dining experience.

Hubby and I were on our way home from LA and we it was like 2:30 pm and we were looking for a lunch spot and I yelped this sizzler location. This is the best sizzler ever ! It's hard to find a sizzler restaurant nowadays. The building looks new and modern and they had a senior salad buffet Lunch with drink for like under $15 dollars until 4 pm week days ! Whew ! I was impressed of friendly service and the meal included cheese toast and the soft serve dessert bar ! I took a few photos, but honestly hubby and I were really hungry since we only had coffee for breakfast. They had chicken noodle soup and clam chowder. My husband had both soups which he said he enjoyed and finished both servings. Fresh salad bar with taco bar, and fried chicken wings. They even had orange chicken . We will definately be back !

The salad bar is standard with a variety of lettuce and toppings. The hot bar included chicken wings, pasta, meatballs, taco beef meet and taco shell. They also have desserts, soft serve, jello, pound cake with strawberry topping and whip cream. Overall, for the price I thought it was a great value.

First time trying Sizzler and this location. You pay for your order first and then sit at any table you would like. A server will come to bring you cheese toast and your dish (if you did not order from the salad bar). The place is clean and there was only 1 server, it seemed to be a bit short staffed. The steaks are tasty but I consume a lot of protein and it is just enough to leave you feeling satisfied. I hear other locations' salad bar has more items.

I used to work nearby and the salad bar here was a regular lunch choice for my co workers...Well sad to report that 8 years later, this Sizzler has gone downhill. The salad bar is okay but the steak and shrimp are sooo bad. I ordered a medium steak but I got a weird piece that was thick on the ends and thin in the middle so my steak was welldone, medium well, medium, and medium rare all at once. The shrimp was nearly raw and covered in paprika. I love sushi but not from Sizzler.... The server was a nice older guy but that was the only bright spot of our meal.

This is my home Sizzler! I love Sizzy so much! We used to go to Sizzler (not this one) when I was a kid and it was considered a "nice" meal out. I remember their Sunday all-you-can-eat brunches, and they had an omelet station. That fascinated me as a kid. How did they flip the egg so perfectly? My go-to is the Malibu Chicken. There is something about the sauce that just sort of...brings back all the nostalgia for me. They did, however, change the rice pilaf and now put way too much green onions in it (when before, it was just rice and the bigger brown grains of whatsit). And the cheese toast always completes the meal, along with a trip to the salad bar. They keep changing the menu though. It used to be that you could get a side (rice pilaf for me) AND a one-time trip to the salad bar, but they've changed it now, and at the time of this writing, they are charging $8 on top of a meal for your unlimited salad bar add-on. Service is SO nice. There is a server there and he is always super friendly. The last time we went, we also had a fancy birthday cake in tow. My partner had called beforehand and asked them to reserve a larger table for us, and they took care of the cake as soon as we got there (after stressing that they would not be liable should anything happen to the cake). Sizzler, you will always have my heart. See you soon!

If I could give it 0 Stars I would. My broccoli had mold on it & they still tried to argue me that it was not mold that "it was just because it had been cut." Places that careless about placing plates with food that have mold on it should be shut down.

Great spot to get your grub on. First time @ this location and will definitely be returning. Service was friendly, place was clean, and food was good. You can never go wrong with the endless salad bar. Only draw back is that the parking lot is a bit small but there is street parking on the side.

Our glasses were never empty and we always had the condiments were needed. We also loved the little pies that Linny said were for sale. We definitely bought one of those. Of course, we also got slices of pie to take home! Our food was hot, tasty, and plentiful. The bisquits were huge today! The Club Sandwich with fries that I ordered were excellent. Thank you, Linny! Omg the rye bread is made on the premises...so tasty, soft, fresh...better than Langers, the rye bread is thinner and the crust is crunchier...Pollys Pies makes it with a softer crust. 5 of 5...totally wasn't expecting that. The sandwich was thick and well-builtbwith corned beef and sourkraut and a slice of Swiss cheese, melting but not melted. I was fine with that. The lunch came on a metal tray, but because I was sharing, our lovely server brought us a platter without me having to ask. You can get your choice of Cole slaw or sweet potato and other possibilities like oni9n rings, but we went with basic fries. I loved that the fries were not presalted, or they were lightly salted, but mom needed to sprinkle more on and she found some black bits made from bad potatoes. 3 of 5. We both loved the lemonade, very refreshing 5 of 5. And while we were disappointed there wasn't any pumpkin pecan cheesecake or key lime pie or pecan pie, we were told they were only special holiday items, we decided on cherry pie a la mode. The pie was hot, but the huge helping if ice cream managed to hold together and not be soup despite the hot cherry pie slice. Overall both mom and I wete impressed with the lunch...and also the clientele were very nice....one told us about the free entree and free pie slice if it's your birthday, so immediately I hit the website on my phone and signed up for their rewards program ...then another neighboring patron helped us with the Wednesday Bingo. Whaassst? They have bingo??!! Every Wednesday. You don't pay for the fun...it's free to play. You can win a to go container of cookies made fresh on the premises....snickerdoodle, chocolate chip etc ...the games are from 4 to 6 pm. And it's hilarious...you bingo in shapes like a 7 or railroad tracks. .this kind of bingo game play was foreign to me. But the host (i think his name was Leo) he came around to every table passing out colored dabber pens and bingo cards...and he showed the pattern on his mobile phone...the host was lively and had all the game equipment to call a legit bingo game. Big-time fun. My mom was delighted, and would have stayed but I had another appointment so we cut out after three games. I actually won one round, but so did another guy, so we went to sudden death, and I lost out on the oatmeal cookies...bummer!! Highly recommend Wednesday at Pollys Pies. Plenty of free parking. Thank you Polly Pies for the good food, great pie, and for the Bingo!! And the friendly staff. My mom and I had a blast.

Once we were ready she had our table already prepared. We have to order inside first before you can be seated. Once seated our food came out not too long after. Everything looked and tasted delicious! We ordered the chilaquiles verde, short rib omelette, tropical pancakes (seasonal), and the mango curd french toast (seasonal). The chilaquiles verde was savory and tangy. It wasn't soggy at all and definitely one of my favorite dishes. The short rib omelette was savory but didn't give me any wow factor compared to the other dishes I ordered. The tropical pancakes were so pretty. I only tried a piece of it without the syrup which I think was a mistake because the kumquat syrup was my friend's favorite. I definitely need to try it again with the syrup. Best for last, mango curd French toast was my favorite! I fell in love with sweetness and tanginess of the mango curd. The French toast was soft and you can taste the butter. I wish it was a main menu item. I'll definitely be sad to see it go. They have lots of seating inside and outside.

My husband ordered me the lemon ricotta pancakes this morning, which I've had from this restaurant…read morebefore, so I know exactly how they're supposed to taste. The moment I took my first bite, I immediately noticed that the ricotta tasted sour and spoiled. I drove back to the restaurant to request a refund. Unfortunately, my refund was not honored because the manager, Aimee, was not present. Karely, the lead on duty, seemed unsure of how to handle the situation and attempted to explain that the sour taste was simply the lemon in the ricotta. That explanation was disappointing because there is a clear difference between the intended lemon flavor and the taste of spoiled dairy. What upset me most was the lack of concern, apology, or effort to make the situation right. As a customer, I expected the issue to be taken seriously, especially when food safety is involved. If a manager is unavailable, staff should be properly trained and empowered to handle customer concerns appropriately. I am currently four months pregnant, which made this experience even more concerning. I wasted my time, gas, and energy driving back to the restaurant, only to leave without a refund or any resolution. This was by far the worst experience I have had at a restaurant in Downey, and unfortunately, I will not be returning.
