I've never been to this location before, and I was honestly surprised! Their salad bar has different items compared to other locations--wow. They even have menudo!!! Honestly, their menudo is better than some Mexican restaurants. I also enjoyed the complimentary cheesy toast--I love it at every location. And all the staff here were very friendly and nice!

My wife and I had a great dining experience as we stopped here for an unlimited salad bar lunch. The manager who was working double duty as the cashier was very friendly, welcoming, and professional. Our waiter, Julio, was very polite, hardworking, and had a great attitude. The salad bar, which was smaller than most Sizzler restaurants we have visited but just as good, offered many hot and cold options. Each item I had was fresh, crisp, and delicious. A female employee was observed restocking the salad bar numerous times during our visit. We found a parking spot conveniently located mere feet from the front door; however, the parking lot is rather small, which can pose a challenge during busy business hours. This was a positive and relaxing dining experience.

Hubby and I were on our way home from LA and we it was like 2:30 pm and we were looking for a lunch spot and I yelped this sizzler location. This is the best sizzler ever ! It's hard to find a sizzler restaurant nowadays. The building looks new and modern and they had a senior salad buffet Lunch with drink for like under $15 dollars until 4 pm week days ! Whew ! I was impressed of friendly service and the meal included cheese toast and the soft serve dessert bar ! I took a few photos, but honestly hubby and I were really hungry since we only had coffee for breakfast. They had chicken noodle soup and clam chowder. My husband had both soups which he said he enjoyed and finished both servings. Fresh salad bar with taco bar, and fried chicken wings. They even had orange chicken . We will definately be back !

The salad bar is standard with a variety of lettuce and toppings. The hot bar included chicken wings, pasta, meatballs, taco beef meet and taco shell. They also have desserts, soft serve, jello, pound cake with strawberry topping and whip cream. Overall, for the price I thought it was a great value.

First time trying Sizzler and this location. You pay for your order first and then sit at any table you would like. A server will come to bring you cheese toast and your dish (if you did not order from the salad bar). The place is clean and there was only 1 server, it seemed to be a bit short staffed. The steaks are tasty but I consume a lot of protein and it is just enough to leave you feeling satisfied. I hear other locations' salad bar has more items.

I used to work nearby and the salad bar here was a regular lunch choice for my co workers...Well sad to report that 8 years later, this Sizzler has gone downhill. The salad bar is okay but the steak and shrimp are sooo bad. I ordered a medium steak but I got a weird piece that was thick on the ends and thin in the middle so my steak was welldone, medium well, medium, and medium rare all at once. The shrimp was nearly raw and covered in paprika. I love sushi but not from Sizzler.... The server was a nice older guy but that was the only bright spot of our meal.

This is my home Sizzler! I love Sizzy so much! We used to go to Sizzler (not this one) when I was a kid and it was considered a "nice" meal out. I remember their Sunday all-you-can-eat brunches, and they had an omelet station. That fascinated me as a kid. How did they flip the egg so perfectly? My go-to is the Malibu Chicken. There is something about the sauce that just sort of...brings back all the nostalgia for me. They did, however, change the rice pilaf and now put way too much green onions in it (when before, it was just rice and the bigger brown grains of whatsit). And the cheese toast always completes the meal, along with a trip to the salad bar. They keep changing the menu though. It used to be that you could get a side (rice pilaf for me) AND a one-time trip to the salad bar, but they've changed it now, and at the time of this writing, they are charging $8 on top of a meal for your unlimited salad bar add-on. Service is SO nice. There is a server there and he is always super friendly. The last time we went, we also had a fancy birthday cake in tow. My partner had called beforehand and asked them to reserve a larger table for us, and they took care of the cake as soon as we got there (after stressing that they would not be liable should anything happen to the cake). Sizzler, you will always have my heart. See you soon!

If I could give it 0 Stars I would. My broccoli had mold on it & they still tried to argue me that it was not mold that "it was just because it had been cut." Places that careless about placing plates with food that have mold on it should be shut down.

Great spot to get your grub on. First time @ this location and will definitely be returning. Service was friendly, place was clean, and food was good. You can never go wrong with the endless salad bar. Only draw back is that the parking lot is a bit small but there is street parking on the side.

A complete dinner is available, served with a large baked potato, 2 pieces of garlic toast and little salad bar. I found the drinks to be well priced and the service was excellent. The bartender gave me crap for ordering girly drinks, but it was all in good fun. Oh and Friday they had some awesome Karaoke going on. I will 100% be back at The Venice Room.

Let's start with a little history of the Dal Rae, it opened in 1951 and has been sharing its extraordinary menu and dining experience to many including my wife's parents and family who dined there regularly for over 40 years. My wife's parents and her sisters would go there regularly as children. The Dal Rae offers a unique "old school" charm from the classic dining room vibe that you seldom see, don't get me wrong there are still a few of these places around but you know I experienced so much that I just don't see anymore. The dark dining room lit by table candles and dim lighting, featuring a long hardwood bar with the same lighting making amazing cocktails past the stage that hosts live entertainment to the dining rooms with the same lighting with booths with clothed tables, baskets of breads and a relish tray. The entire staff is friendly and honored to have you in their dining room. Let's talk about the food, a good sized menu offering some old school appetizers as well as your others, fine cuts of meats, fresh seafoods and aged beef. My entree came with a house salad that I have to say was the best dinner salad I have ever had, I am not sure if it was the fact that the salad was prepared and tossed with the house made blue cheese dressing with large chunks of blue cheese with simple additions but every bite was incredible. If I wasn't in such a classy establishment I would have kicked the plate . (But I didn't) our entrees came after our salads and some had French Onion Soup. My brother in law/wife and his brother/wife and sister/husband along with my wife filled our table. My brother in law and his siblings also dined at the Dal Rae with their parents when they were young and still come to this day. So there was a lot of great food on our table as well as great family. I ordered the Steak Diane a dish rarely found these days, I was so excited to have this again and just as excited to try it at Dal Rae, as it was prepared table side you could instantly smell the aromas of Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, butter and other ingredients then the brandy with a flash of fire creating the fragrant decadent sauce only to be found in Steak Diane. It was Molto Bene in every bite e tutti delizioso! All our dishes were simply incredible, great flavors and served with such class and old school charm. We also had the pleasure of the owner coming to our table and sharing some history of the restaurant and his family commitments to serving the community, people from Los Alamitos Race Track, the jockeys, the owners, the fans and continuing to do so. We all were so full we passed on the dessert menu but if I could fit it into my leg I would have gone with the Bananas Foster.....so I guess I need to come back for more. Delightfully understated atmosphere with unique tiles throughout the decor, and we loved that we could hear each other talk and enjoy each other's company. Our server was amazing, she was so knowledgeable while being personable and extremely funny. I assume she's the cook's wife based on the other reviews - I arrived a little after my aunts, so I didn't get a full introduction since they had already secured a table and had ordered some drinks while looking over the menu. I had my eye on 3 different meat dishes - the Roasted Duck Breast, the New Zealand Lamb, and the Angus Beef Ribeye Steak - and my aunts also had each picked 1 of those, so we went family style, and it did not disappoint!! The chef knows how to cook each type of meat to perfection, and the searing pans are doing exactly what they need to be doing! The Roast Duck Breast was AMAZING as cooked to the recommended medium, with delicious crispy skin. The Angus Beef Ribeye Steak at medium rare was as tasty as it was gorgeous! And the New Zealand Lamb was PERFECTION, down to the bone. We also got the gourmet macaroni and cheese as an add-on side, since all the meals come with mashed potatoes and various veggies, and I was in heaven! As someone who used to work at the Disney Parks and frequented the steakhouses and other fine dining both here and in Orlando, Sage Bistro is giving Disney a run for its money when it comes to high-quality meat dishes! The prices reflect both the cut of the meats and the skill of preparation, with it averaging to about $50 each across the 3 of us, which is pretty reasonable for top-tier quality! The only thing I had to be careful about was that many of the dishes have mushrooms, and my throat gets itchy if I eat most mushrooms, so I had to avoid those dishes. During our meal, when I mentioned it to our server for future visits, she was great at noting which dishes could completely be modified to have no mushrooms while also being realistic about acknowledging the dishes that cannot be, which sadly includes the Braised Short Rib that sounds out of this world. But I can have the Beef Rib Soup, so I definitely want to try that next because I WILL BE BACK!!! They also offer takeaway, and were very generous in giving us each a coupon card to use for ordering through their website.

The bolognese had a slightly creamier taste without the spice and was equally as flavorful. Finally, we ordered the lemon butter cake. 10/10 When I tell you this cake was delicious ... woahhh!! It was a nice crisp butter cake but the lemon zest paired with the coulis and fruit gave the perfect balance. We were told the restaurant would be closing and that it was the final day of service. Made us both bummed to hear since the hospitality and true Italian food with homemade pasta was such a delight. Impeccable place overall! Side note: There's a fast food style concept this place operates at also in Whittier, I hope they remain in business so I can get my pizza and panini fix there!
