When looking for someplace to eat for dinner while staying at Great Wolf Lodge, I was very excited to see a sizzler (esp since all the locations around me in sac have closed). I was also surprised to see it had such good reviews, and they did not disappoint. Great service, although they could have cleared plates a little faster. They also were a little slow putting out new, clean bowls. I waited awhile for them to put out a new peach cobbler, but that never happened. Idk that it's a traditional peach cobbler, but I was in love with it! It's was gooey and the perfect sweetness. Soo sad they weren't able to put more out while I was there. Food was great, aside from the clam chowder. For some reason, it was not hot and the flavor was yuck. Salad bar had fresh ingredients (no brown lettuce or old veggies). They asked if we wanted cheese toast, which I actually never knew about until visiting this location, right when we were seated. Prices have really gone up - $18ish for unlimited salad bar only. I think it's worth it though, as the average price of a meal is like $15 anyways. With this price, you get salad, soup, and dessert for that price. I would def recommend this location and I would come back if at GWL again. 4.5 stars rounded to 5, which is rare from me. I am extremely confused by the positive comments and high star rating for this location. I question if they are real. Our experience was completely horrible. When we first sat down at our table, we were completely ignored by staff. There were only three other families in the entire restaurant but none of the servers were anywhere to be found. The workers taking care of the salad bar were hard at work but the table servers would walk out every 10-15 minutes and completely ignore you. When our server finally came, we let her know our table was a bit sticky and asked if it could be wiped off, she was annoyed and asked that we just pick another table. She took our receipt with our order and we were lucky to ever see her again. She dropped off our drinks and then would ask if we wanted refills but would never bring the refills. She would ask if we wanted cheesy bread and then would never bring it. We would have to remind her or track her down to ask for our drinks, bread and unlimited shrimp. My son's hamburger was forgotten, while all other meals were delivered. Then it finally arrived 20 minutes later only to be made wrong. It went back and now all of us are done with our meals and he still hasn't eaten. I had to get up and track down our server only to have her snap at me that they were remaking it still. There are only 4 tables full and it took over 45 minutes for a plain hamburger with nothing on it. I would hate to see how this place runs when it's busy. Once he received his hamburger it was soaked in grease. The bun was as thin as a tortilla because it was sopping wet on both sides. My son stated it tasted as if it was cooked in the microwave and he couldn't eat it with the bun the way it was. I asked for a manager who stated their hamburgers are such high quality that the grease soaks the bread completely to wear its flat as a pancake I guess. I did receive our money back for the hamburger but it just ruined the night having him watch us eat while he sat there. I had the salad bar but the variety is just not what I remember. It's not a $20 salad bar. I had a free salad bar add on coupon that my son used, but he wanted to eat his hamburger and fries first as to not get too full from the salad bar.....after waiting for his food and then it being horrible, he ate 2 tacos from the salad bar and said he just wanted to leave. If the other reviews are legit, then I guess avoid Wednesday nights. I also had a hard time finding up to date menus online, so took some pictures for everyone. read more

We got steak and lobster, the lobster was good but small for the price and the steak was dry even though I had it med rare. The service was slow. You pay 4.19 for a drink but it is difficult getting a refill. The salad bar by itself is expensive at 19.79. My steak was barely warm. I would rather go to Red lobster! read more

It's been 5+ years since I've been to Sizzlers! I was craving it recently so we made the trip out to this Manteca location for dinner and had a great time! The restaurant was very clean. No issues at the table or at any of the salad bar counters. The service is fantastic. Our server, Chris, was extremely polite and prompt. We really enjoyed the food. I ordered the Malibu chicken with salad bar. My husband ordered the steak/shrimp combo with salad bar. Both were very good! The salad bar options were good: lots of salad and toppings, variety of soups, tacos, spaghetti and meatballs, chicken strips, taquitos, etc. A few different dessert options, but we particularly loved the banana pudding. My only recommendation/wish is for a vegetarian sauce option. Unfortunately the only sauce for spaghetti was a meatball marinara, so if you don't eat meat/beef then there isn't a pasta sauce option for you. read more

The associate manning the salad bar was wiping down the areas in between the different salad bar food items with a very dirty towel. I don't think she realized that when she was wiping in between each item, the dirty towel was also wiping the food too, potentially contaminating them with whatever was on the towel. Very emotional, but awesome day! I want to personally think Christina (manager on duty) for being such a wonderful and caring manager! It was a Sunday, October 16 during the Halloween festivities and Great Wolf Lodge, which is around the corner, usually gets pretty packed around this time. It was a family reunion with my children that I hadn't spent time with for many years and they were coming from different areas. Because we had such a large group, I was worried about not being able to sit together and enjoy our company. Christina was able to find us a location in one of the busiest times of the season and accommodate me and my family to be able to sit together. I call it nothing short of a miracle! We were able to even celebrate my grandsons birthday. Let's start with the food: We ordered steak and endless shrimp as well as the salad everything was fresh, and the steaks were cooked exactly how we asked them to be cooked. The flavor of the steaks melted in your mouth, as well as the shrimp was made to perfection , there's nothing about eating steak and all you can eat shrimp with the famous Sizzler bread and cocktail sauce. Service: service was outstanding our servers. both Tamara and Jane were outstanding! We were treated like family! The first thing you want to do when you come to a restaurant is make sure that you're in a friendly environment that everything is clean and that your service is top-notch. This was exactly what we encountered. I would highly recommend this establishment for any gatherings or just a simple night out dinner or lunch.
