My wife, our daughter, and I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Barnwood Restaurant inside Great Wolf Lodge, and Patrick served us. I can honestly say it was the absolute best service I have ever had at a restaurant, period. From the moment we sat down, Patrick was exceptionally attentive, warm, and proactive without ever being intrusive. He went above and beyond to ensure our entire family felt welcome and cared for, paying wonderful attention to our daughter and anticipating our needs seamlessly. Genuine hospitality like his is rare to find, and it completely elevated our entire evening. Thank you, Patrick, for providing such memorable, top-tier service for our family. Management, give this man a raise--he is a massive asset to your team! read more

Out of all the dining options here and you want something good to eat, then this is the place! It's a sit down restaurant with actual people you can order from and interact with. Everyone here was very attentive and friendly! *RESERVATIONS ARE NECESSARY! No walk ups allowed. The 2 dishes that were outstanding to me were: 1. CHEESY SPINACH ARTICHOKE DIP. Served in a cast-iron skillet, topped with melted cheese and pico de gallo. Such a delicious starter! I loved the dip with tortilla chips. If you run out of chips or pico de gallo, you can request more at no extra charge. 2. GRILLED ASIAN CHICKEN SALAD. Crisp romaine, cabbage, carrots, bell peppers, scallions, green beans, crunchy wonton strips, and sweet ginger sesame dressing. A fresh vibrant medley of different textures and flavor! This is easily enough for two people to share. They are generous with the portions. One of the best salads I've ever had! Both dishes were so good, my sister and I went there a second time (the next night) during our trip and ordered the same thing! read more

The nicest restaurant at the Great Wolf Lodge. Service was friendly. The food was pretty good. The wine list was OK. I'd rate the restaurant as barely above average. For example, I ordered the New York strip. It was cooked perfectly, but the quality of the beef was not great. My wife had the same comment about the Steak Frites, although she said her grilled shrimp were delicious. My kids loved it, which counts for a lot after a long day at the water park. My older son enjoyed his grilled Salmon, but I tasted a bite and would again rate it similarly to the beef. Prepared well, but I've had better fish before. The cornbread was super sweet. Way too sugary, could barely taste the corn. Our waitress was friendly and nice. She didn't know the difference between real and creamy horseradish. I had to remind her about the wine I ordered which was sitting in the bar window for a while. Try to get a table inside unless you want to eat withing earshot of a kids dance party in the evening. read more

I don't recommend this restaurant located in Wolf Lodge at all. It's there nicer one with a bar. There was a long wait and even with a reservation, we were still seated way later than promised. If you're with hungry kids that have been playing all day, waiting an extra thirty minutes feels like an hour and if we return, we'll leave property to dine elsewhere. The girls at the podium could use a lesson in friendly customer service. We were seated in a corner and right next to a pile of high chairs when there were other open tables. We had Tatiana, she was nice just very slow or seemed inexperienced. We got our appetizer with our entrées. We almost finished our entrées our $15 cocktails arrived. I ordered a blood orange mule and the hubbs ordered a peach old fashion. I was getting ready to return my pinesol tasting drink. It was disgusting, but my hubby said he'll drink it. Our food wasn't hot and our kids mac and cheese was served last. This experience overall was a disappointment especially since we were hotel guests. At least we'll know for next stay that this place isn't worth revisiting. read more

Probably the only good food spot in great wolf lodge. Normal prices for a sit down restaurant. Good overall experience.

In Sundays, restaurants serving warm food close at 9pm. The only restaurant open, Barnwood, closes at 10pm. No where on the app does it say kitchen closes at 9:30. I got there at 9:40 and waited 12 minutes in line to place a to go order. They served people ahead of me. When they got to me, they said the kitchen is closed. Both the restaurant manager and the general manager were apologetic, but offered no compensation. They basically said politely there is nothing they can do. Better to just door dash than to eat at any restaurant here. read more

I was very surprised at the quality of food nestled in a water park. We ended up eating here more than once due to the variety of offerings, once for lunch and once for dinner on separate days. It's great for large groups, kids and adults alike. The staff is very accommodating and super friendly. For the type of food I'd also say very reasonably priced. Glad we didn't have to go off prem to get a decent meal. This will definitely be a staple every time we visit Great Wolf Lodge. read more

We had a lot of dining credits, so we decided to use them at Barnwood, the "fanciest" restaurant at Great Wolf Lodge. To our surprise, the food was quite good. My partner and I sat at the bar while the kids went off to find their quests with the wands. I can't recall the specific drinks we ordered, but mine came in a tin can called "Summer Camping," and it was delicious. My partner also enjoyed his drink. Since I prefer not to drink alcohol without having food, we started with the Spinach and Artichoke Dip, which was yummy! When the kids joined us, we moved to a table for dinner. We all shared some incredibly messy Jumbo Chicken Wings. I enjoyed the Hickory BBQ sauce, although the rest of the table preferred the Korean Hot & Spicy flavor. My daughter and I shared the Mac & Cheese. There were three different kinds on the menu, but I can't remember which one we had. My daughter loved it, although it was a bit spicy for my taste. My partner and his daughter shared a burger, and since I didn't hear any complaints, it must have been good. On the second night, we decided to go all out since it was our last evening and I still had plenty of dining credits left. We opted for family-style dining: 1) Pork Belly - sweet and dangerous. So good. 2) Cornbread - perfectly sweet and moist. 3)Salad - for something green. 4) Braised Short Rib Bolognese - tasty and meaty. 5) Shrimp Alfredo? - So creamy and delicious. 6) S'mores for the Table - fun! chocolate fondue, marshmallow, pretzels, strawberries, graham crackers (we were so full, we had this to go). Overall, it was a wonderful meal. The servers were friendly, but the service was a bit slow. There are several items on the menu that I would love to try on our next visit. read more

Came back again while staying at the lodge. Dropped in around 5:15 without reservation and was seated quickly. This place was like before. Well maintained. Still cozy and clean. Originally wanted brut but was out of order? Got a Prosecco instead. Kids ordered chicken tender and Mac cheese. It was good and relatively well balanced. I ordered chili chicken bowl with rice replaced with veggies (mushroom, squash etc). Food was delicious. My chicken bowl was awesome. The crema was great but I didn't need it. Kids love their food (me too). We all ate well. Will be back next time staying at the lodge. read more

I will say it's the only food worth eating at the Great Wolf Lodge Resort. We ordered Chicken Wings (mix of Buffalo and BBQ) and their Cheeseburgers with Fries. It was good but again, it is considered their fine dining restaurant so it is on the pricier end for just wings and burgers. I think they do need a better system for reservations. Also, during the kids party, it'd be nice to sit at the edge of the restaurant to be able to see your kids but they are "reserved". Reserved for I don't know what. Hosts at the front are not very welcoming to the point that you don't want to support their business. We had credit for food to spend and is the only reason why we ate there. read more

Restaurant is inside of Great Wolf Lodge, but open to the public. Reservation highly recommended. Food portion is generous, pricing is reasonable. Back again this year and my dish taste better. The salmon was cooked well and the rice pilaf has nice flavor to it. This is still a nicer restaurant inside the lodge. We can find more variety than park food. When it's crowded food takes a bit longer, but still tolerable wait for better food. The ambiance is a nice rustic restaurant. Bonus tonight, the Wolf-rita also tastes good. read more

Pretty good! This place has a good menu for everyone and I really enjoyed the honey bourbon salmon and Cobb salad. The service was good but of course ambiance had a lot of kids as it is located in the lobby of the great wolf lodge - and usually during dinner they have like dance parties and stuff. But in general the food was decent and we went twice. read more

The food is completely unseasoned, and the steak has no flavor at all. It was ordered medium, but it was steamed. The vegetables tasted bitter, and were the marshmallows store-bought? It cost nearly $50, and it was a total waste of money. The food was good during my last visit, but I wouldn't recommend it now. read more

Customer service here was exceptional. Staff were kind and friendly. We made a reservation for 10+ and our table was ready when we arrived. It was a Monday night and not busy at all. There isn't a lot to choose from on the menu, but what my husband and I did order was delicious and perfectly cooked. Husband wanted his steak medium rare and that was what he got. Barnwood is located inside of Great Wolf Lodge and it is the only "fancy" restaurant option. We came for dinner on our first night and it was pretty pricey. We ordered the Shrimp Alfredo, Short Rib Bolognese, Kids Buttered Noodles and the Spinach and Artichoke Dip. The food was overall decent, it was really nothing too special, but we walked away full and fairly satisfied. They have a full bar and some good beer options. Our server Heather was very bubbly and friendly! They even gave us a free beer because it was an extra one that was poured. FYI, you have to be fully clothed and dry to eat here - meaning you can't come straight from the pool like we tried to do - whoops! They do take reservations though! read more

The food was amazing! My son had the salmon, which was my favorite. It was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. My littles were content with the mac & cheese, and chicken tenders. My husband had the shrimp fettuccine Alfredo. Loved it! I had the smokehouse burger. It was huge and flavorful. Everything was delicious. No complaints here. Service was excellent, and we enjoyed the atmosphere. I will definitely be back, and I will definitely be ordering the salmon next time. One bite from my son just wasn't enough. Haha. read more

Ok, let's start out saying...it's a hotel restaurant at a water theme park; expectations weren't high. The service was quick and efficient. The nachos were generously covered in a cheese type substance and the chicken was actually pretty fresh and tasty. Nothing special, but serviceable. Definitely overpriced, but you're paying for the convenience of not dragging my kids to a second location after swimming for hours. Speaking of kids...the chicken tenders were actually really good. Basic, but good. Not just a thick hunk of breading, but some actually chicken. And the fries were really good. The ambiance...it's a bar like setting, with kids everywhere.... read more

Barnwood is fine. The service is excellent, the menu has potential, the food is meh. But hey, it's a nice-ish restaurant in Great Wolf Lodge in the middle of nowhere. Reset your expectations. It's adjacent to the area where they do the kids activities, so I could eat my cold $20 nachos while my kids were at the nighttime dance party, and that in itself is amazing. read more

Entree dishes were really good however the customer service is very seriously lacking! Had to call upon multiple servers for to-go boxes, to check on our to go order and to pay our check since no one came to our table for more than 30 minutes!!! Noticed a large majority of the staff throughout the hotel are very young (high school, college). Server staff appeared to be very cliquish and chose to congregate in groups talking to each other rather than responding to the needs of the customer! read more

Excellent servers, especially Patrick. He is very professional, friendly and knowledgeable, especially about gluten free.

Pros: - Super kids friendly menu! A lot of food for $10 is a great deal in a place where there's going to be a lot of kids was much appreciated - Pretty good drink and food menu for adults as well that has a variety of food that can fulfill any dietary restriction or preference - Service was great, our server did a great job in taking our order and getting our food out as soon as possible esp w/ kids first! Cons: - Pricey for adult food, around $30-40 for any entree and the quality is pretty mid - There reservation system is all out of wack for big parties. Gotta put your name down. Our estimated wait time was 45min even though it wasn't full and we were seated after 15min... so don't trust their estimates.. but at least its for the better Overall, this is probably the best restaurant at GWL and realistically you don't have that many sit down restaurants in the area so would definitely be coming back when i visit GWL again! read more

FOOD - Braised Short Rib (Bolognese): short rib, rigatoni, mushrooms, bacon, and parmesan. This dish would have been really good but it was soooo salty. I almost sent it back but it was just tolerable. 3.5/5 SERVICE: We were greeted and seated in a timely manner. Our server was friendly. We came here an hour before closing time, so we were able to get seated immediately. The staff was friendly and the food was good. Nothing special, but wasn't terrible either. The place is well-lit and spacious. Be warned that it is in a kid-themed resort, so it's loud with a ton of kids playing everywhere. Which is fine with us as we celebrated our kid's bday at The Great Wolf Lodge. If you don't mind that, then great! read more

The food was amazing. I ordered chicken Alfredo with an appetizer of mozzarella sticks. The food was some of the best food I've ever had. Free refills at the restaurant was nice. Amazing service. Much better than any of the other food there. Highly recommend 10 out of 10. read more

Waitress needs to be trained to be more organized and professional. We asked for a shot with a pineapple chaser and were brought back the pineapple itself, which was fine. Then we waited for our two 16oz glasses of beer, which were never brought out until later by someone else. They only brought us one glass and then the second. We told our waitress we were ready to order, but she disappeared. It was Monday, and it wasn't even busy. Later, she came back and asked again if we were ready, and we told her our order she never asked how we want our steak done, we had to tell her. When she finally brought out our food, my steak was raw. I asked for medium rare, and when I got my steak back, the sides were overdone. The middle was medium rare and okay, but it had no flavor. Anyway, we asked for the check, and she asked if we were paying with a card or our room. After we told her our room number, she just walked away without saying anything. And we waited awhile and nothing, so we thought she was going to charge our room as we walked away from our table, you can hear The Whispers from behind us asking if we had paid. That's when the waitress came after us. Asking for us to sign the receipt, which we did. However, everything was handled very unprofessionally. We could have been communicated more appropriately by the waitress to let us know all what's going on. Shockingly surprised how this was handled, especially how much you're paying for the room and the service here at great wolf, just to receive this kind of service for fine dining. read more

I was pleasantly surprised that I really enjoyed everything we ordered at this resort restaurant. The kids meal was well balanced with a little fruit and veggies on the side. At great wolf lodge. Good for a snack and an adult beverage. Convenient. Would return if staying at the resort.

Service is good. Food: the prime rib is really low quality, dry, no flavor and with an unpleasant smell. Ambience is loud, and sometimes chaotic. I recommend the Cesar salad and chicken Alfredo. Don't spend money on steaks or any meat. read more

Reservation is recommended, especially if you come to Great Wolf Lodge on the weekends/holidays. Ok, make a reservation a few days in advance. That's a given. Your in a huge hotel with tons of family. It didn't seem like they seated all the tables so maybe it's a kitchen throughout thing. We were seated right at our 630 reservation time, while others were being told at least an hour wait despite empty tables. The ambience is lacking, more cafeteria than fine dining, but again what do you expect. Our service was INCREDIBLE! Wish I remembered her name for a shout out. She was proactive, suggested things, let the kids try the $8 mock tails before picking one, and was super friendly. She was 5 stars +. And the food was fine. Not earth shattering by any means, but better than we expected. Wings for an app (waitress suggested we get half buffalo and half bbq when we couldn't decide), burgers and ribs for the boys, and a wilderness bowl for my wife (she was stunned how good it was).
