In Sundays, restaurants serving warm food close at 9pm. The only restaurant open, Barnwood, closes at 10pm. No where on the app does it say kitchen closes at 9:30. I got there at 9:40 and waited 12 minutes in line to place a to go order. They served people ahead of me. When they got to me, they said the kitchen is closed. Both the restaurant manager and the general manager were apologetic, but offered no compensation. They basically said politely there is nothing they can do. Better to just door dash than to eat at any restaurant here.

We had a lot of dining credits, so we decided to use them at Barnwood, the "fanciest" restaurant at Great Wolf Lodge. To our surprise, the food was quite good. My partner and I sat at the bar while the kids went off to find their quests with the wands. I can't recall the specific drinks we ordered, but mine came in a tin can called "Summer Camping," and it was delicious. My partner also enjoyed his drink. Since I prefer not to drink alcohol without having food, we started with the Spinach and Artichoke Dip, which was yummy! When the kids joined us, we moved to a table for dinner. We all shared some incredibly messy Jumbo Chicken Wings. I enjoyed the Hickory BBQ sauce, although the rest of the table preferred the Korean Hot & Spicy flavor. My daughter and I shared the Mac & Cheese. There were three different kinds on the menu, but I can't remember which one we had. My daughter loved it, although it was a bit spicy for my taste. My partner and his daughter shared a burger, and since I didn't hear any complaints, it must have been good. On the second night, we decided to go all out since it was our last evening and I still had plenty of dining credits left. We opted for family-style dining: 1) Pork Belly - sweet and dangerous. So good. 2) Cornbread - perfectly sweet and moist. 3)Salad - for something green. 4) Braised Short Rib Bolognese - tasty and meaty. 5) Shrimp Alfredo? - So creamy and delicious. 6) S'mores for the Table - fun! chocolate fondue, marshmallow, pretzels, strawberries, graham crackers (we were so full, we had this to go). Overall, it was a wonderful meal. The servers were friendly, but the service was a bit slow. There are several items on the menu that I would love to try on our next visit.

Came back again while staying at the lodge. Dropped in around 5:15 without reservation and was seated quickly. This place was like before. Well maintained. Still cozy and clean. Originally wanted brut but was out of order? Got a Prosecco instead. Kids ordered chicken tender and Mac cheese. It was good and relatively well balanced. I ordered chili chicken bowl with rice replaced with veggies (mushroom, squash etc). Food was delicious. My chicken bowl was awesome. The crema was great but I didn't need it. Kids love their food (me too). We all ate well. Will be back next time staying at the lodge.

I will say it's the only food worth eating at the Great Wolf Lodge Resort. We ordered Chicken Wings (mix of Buffalo and BBQ) and their Cheeseburgers with Fries. It was good but again, it is considered their fine dining restaurant so it is on the pricier end for just wings and burgers. I think they do need a better system for reservations. Also, during the kids party, it'd be nice to sit at the edge of the restaurant to be able to see your kids but they are "reserved". Reserved for I don't know what. Hosts at the front are not very welcoming to the point that you don't want to support their business. We had credit for food to spend and is the only reason why we ate there.

Honey glazed salmon- a bit overcooked, but a healthier option.

Restaurant is inside of Great Wolf Lodge, but open to the public. Reservation highly recommended. Food portion is generous, pricing is reasonable. We arrived at 5pm and were one of the first to order, food arrived quickly. Salmon was overcooked and dry. Will return and try something else next time. Parking on site for a fee.

Back again this year and my dish taste better. The salmon was cooked well and the rice pilaf has nice flavor to it. This is still a nicer restaurant inside the lodge. We can find more variety than park food. When it's crowded food takes a bit longer, but still tolerable wait for better food. The ambiance is a nice rustic restaurant. Bonus tonight, the Wolf-rita also tastes good.

Pretty good! This place has a good menu for everyone and I really enjoyed the honey bourbon salmon and Cobb salad. The service was good but of course ambiance had a lot of kids as it is located in the lobby of the great wolf lodge - and usually during dinner they have like dance parties and stuff. But in general the food was decent and we went twice.

The food is completely unseasoned, and the steak has no flavor at all. It was ordered medium, but it was steamed. The vegetables tasted bitter, and were the marshmallows store-bought? It cost nearly $50, and it was a total waste of money. The food was good during my last visit, but I wouldn't recommend it now.

    Mango Dreamsicle. Yummy.

Customer service here was exceptional. Staff were kind and friendly. We made a reservation for 10+ and our table was ready when we arrived. It was a Monday night and not busy at all. There isn't a lot to choose from on the menu, but what my husband and I did order was delicious and perfectly cooked. Husband wanted his steak medium rare and that was what he got. Barnwood is pricey, but you will get a good meal out of it.

    Shrimp Alfredo

Barnwood is located inside of Great Wolf Lodge and it is the only "fancy" restaurant option. We came for dinner on our first night and it was pretty pricey. We ordered the Shrimp Alfredo, Short Rib Bolognese, Kids Buttered Noodles and the Spinach and Artichoke Dip. The food was overall decent, it was really nothing too special, but we walked away full and fairly satisfied. They have a full bar and some good beer options. Our server Heather was very bubbly and friendly! They even gave us a free beer because it was an extra one that was poured. FYI, you have to be fully clothed and dry to eat here - meaning you can't come straight from the pool like we tried to do - whoops! They do take reservations though!

    Blood Orange Mule - Delicious!

Drinks were yummy and a nice bar with a sweet bartendar. Can get loud by the bar, since it's right next to the lounge area outside.

The food was amazing! My son had the salmon, which was my favorite. It was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. My littles were content with the mac & cheese, and chicken tenders. My husband had the shrimp fettuccine Alfredo. Loved it! I had the smokehouse burger. It was huge and flavorful. Everything was delicious. No complaints here. Service was excellent, and we enjoyed the atmosphere. I will definitely be back, and I will definitely be ordering the salmon next time. One bite from my son just wasn't enough. Haha.

    Nachos
    Nick B.

Ok, let's start out saying...it's a hotel restaurant at a water theme park; expectations weren't high. The service was quick and efficient. The nachos were generously covered in a cheese type substance and the chicken was actually pretty fresh and tasty. Nothing special, but serviceable. Definitely overpriced, but you're paying for the convenience of not dragging my kids to a second location after swimming for hours. Speaking of kids...the chicken tenders were actually really good. Basic, but good. Not just a thick hunk of breading, but some actually chicken. And the fries were really good. The ambiance...it's a bar like setting, with kids everywhere....

How can we make a resi?

You will have to download the app. Great wolf lodge. On there it'll show all the resturants and you can rsvp on there. Hope this help

There is no button to make reservations. They won't take reservations over the phone. How do you get a reservation to this restaurant?

I had to go to the website on a computer (not my phone) to FINALLY get a person to chat with me. Before that I called three different times and was always forwarded to the hotel, but no one answers their phones.…

Anyone have luck making a dinner reservation at Barnwood through Yelp? The hotel said to make a reservation through Yelp and I'm on Yelp and don't see anywhere to click to make a reservation.

Look at the right hand side of the screen for the red bar that says, "Find a Table"

I want to make a reservation, there is no link to make reservations.?

I was told this restaurant takes reservations but don't see that as an option.?

Reservations are recommended however not necessary. Walk-ins are always welcomed, to be put on the list we open at 5pm and a Host will be ready to take your information. We only allow so many reservations to be made online throughout the day, I…

The website is misleading, it says you serve lunch, but the hours are only for dinner. Is it both lunch and dinner or just dinner? Thanks.

Dinner only. They are short staffed. I am not only talking about this restaurant. I am also talking about all the Great Wolf Lodge restaurant, stores and etc.

Is the restaurant open only to registered guests?

No. Anyone can eat there. Ask for the waitress I had. Her name was Christine. She was fantastic

I liked how crispy and sweet yet tangy the bang bang shrimp was. This was probably my favorite item we tried! The chili wontons weren't too spicy and they were really generous with the amount of shrimp inside. Shrimp & wonton noodle soup was def a comfort meal growing up, so I'm happy they had that here! Portion size was very generous and broth was tasty. Noodles were cooked well too, and I liked the filling of the wonton. We also got the curry ramen with katsu chicken. The chicken was sooo crispy, it was one of my favorite items. The bacon kimchi flavor had a nice spicy kick to it. The beef chili oil noodles was tasty and I liked the small beef bits. The bang bang chicken had the same sauce as the bang bang shrimp, but I liked how the entree came with rice too. The philly cheesesteak eggrolls were super crispy, and if you're a cheese lover, you need to try this! Overall, a really solid spot for Asian fusion food, and the servers were all extremely nice and patient as well. Service was really quick!

I'll comment on the taste in a bit but I want to first highlight something I've never experienced. In all my work-from-home years I've never once had to-go experience where the dishes looked like they'd been plated for table service at the restaurant. Sure some stuff shifted in the Dasher's car but it honestly blew me away. Even the drink was carefully wrapped and put in a little box to ensure it wouldn't leak everywhere. As for the important bit, the taste, man... I have had so many amazing Thai meals at places in the bay area and honestly just assumed the most Modesto would get is some great Banh Mi spots. Obviously I haven't had the chance to try the whole menu but my go-to, Tom Kha, this is the best Thai coconut soup I've ever had! The Pad Thai is as good if not better than what I've had in San Francisco as well. I'm really looking forward to bringing friends and family here to check it out in person! Side note... yes, it's also very expensive ordering via Doordash with their added fees but it's 2026 and it's California. So far my multiple orders have been well worth the price and I expect the same experience in person! (just, you know, without the extra Doordash fee nonsense)
