    Beef Sirloin Steak Rice Bowl

Got a beef rice bowl to-go and it was just ok. Portion size was good but the flavor and quality of the food was lacking.

Located in SLU, this is one of the rare finds of affordable lunch. Banh mi's from $9.99 and rice bowls from $11.99, plus tax - a lot of neighboring places price lunches at 50% more than here. When I went at 11am at opening, it was already pretty busy with a line out the door so I can't imagine how busy it is when it is noon. There is limited seating inside and some outside (only viable when it's not too cold outside). I got the grilled chicken rice bowl with the green sauce, with lettuce, carrots, etc for the toppings. The green sauce is like a cilantro sauce and it was an amazing addition. There is a lot of chicken but not much rice, and I'd take that over having more rice to fill me up. The vegetables are fresh and make the meal nutritionally complete. It was just the right amount of food, and it was healthy, so it is not as filling as other places, but I would take this quality over having quantity. With the amount of meat and the quality of the food, this is one of the better lunches in SLU!

Always my go to quick and easy meal back in UDistrict. Still hit the spot after many years later. Both pork and beef are perfectly cooked and seasoned just right. Veggies are always fresh.

Ambience. A Service. A Food. A Price. A Found in the middle between buildings surrounded by working. And living spaces. Have no idea where to find parking, albeit got lucky with street working around block to get my pickup. Nice modern spot. Reminds me of a chipotle setup for ordering Vietnamese food!! Ordered off UBER eats to get a discount BOGO and did my own pickup to avoid $10 deliver service fee. Ordered pork vermicelli. All the veggies were fresh and crunchy and rice noodles on point and the pork was tender. Don't know where the sauce is ?!! The Nuoc Cham sauce?!! Took home and made my own. Lots of food for $15 a bowl! Overall, I'm a FaN!!!

Great place to get a quick and casual Vietnamese meal. Portions were good, lots of flavor and fresh vegetables. Some pieces of meat were a little dry. Overall good experience.

Lychee lemonade without ice? We are confused if it was overlooked or is this standard? Yuzu arrived same way.

We ordered via Instacart. And it was awesome delivery (while being treated for lung rejection), easy transfer, tipping etc. never went into store but very well liked by UWMC staff. The food is Banj Mi Beef Brisket. The brisket is golden. Smooth and silky to eat with the best seasoning and veg ratios. The crunch baguette... yum. Transports me back to my childhood in Seattle restaurants. This is our second order from them and everything is delish. Will go back. Lychee lemonade and yuzu lemonade. I got the half sweet version of the lemonades and only received half a cup and NO ice? Maybe that is their sweet 50% version. Not a win.

Nice spot for a quick lunch! The staff is responsive and super quick. The grilled chicken was yummy, get the spicy green sauce! The amount of food was pretty great given it was only around $12. Would definitely go back again!

I got an order for pickup and didn't realize that this was like a Chipotle but with Vietnamese food until I stopped by to grab my order. You can choose between different meats, veggies, and vessels to carry all the above on (rice, banh mi, vermicelli noodles). I got the grilled chicken rice bowl with no jalapeños and extra egg (since it was the #1 order online). Glad I listened to the masses because it was bomb. The chicken was flavorful and juicy, the rice was perfectly cooked, and the veggies were fresh. Also the portions were great. I have a big appetite and I was able to split my bowl into two meals. I'll definitely be coming back to try different custom orders! Highly recommend asking for extra fish sauce too.

Came to SLU for 4th of July and stopped by here to eat while waiting for the fireworks to start. Overall, I thought this place was ok. I got the grilled pork bánh mì for $9.98 Pros: super huge generous portions. Given the big increase in food prices lately, what you get here is a steal and the main reason why I would come back. I noticed big portions in my sandwich and also others' orders. Grilled pork had good flavor and I liked the grilled corn and scallion oil (mỡ hành). Cons: I felt the bread was either old or previously heated to be crispy and then left to cool for a long time so it was a little dry. They ask to put the sauce on last but I think they should put it on first because after all the meat and veggies they give, there's practically no room for sauce. I thought they should've pickled the carrots longer or with more sugar. I wonder about the cleanliness because the bathroom could use some work. Thought it was weird they store containers and food wrappers a mere feet from the toilet (though everything looked wrapped/in boxes). Neutral: Service was not outstanding but got the job done Next time I would like to try the rice bowl

The décor is gorgeous--an elevated, glamorous tribute to the water buffalo that feels bold yet refined. We ordered the Miang Kham, Crying Tiger, and Mango Salad. I always order Miang Kham when I see it since it's such a rare find, and this one was excellent. The Crying Tiger was tasty but came out more well done than the medium-rare we ordered. That said, we still finished it because the dipping sauce was fantastic and the purple-and-white sticky rice was delicious. The Mango Salad was beautifully prepared with shredded mango that had just the right crunch and tartness. Generous portions served. Even during a busy late afternoon, the chef handled guests with ease and a big smile, serving beautifully executed dishes and cocktails. Very impressive. We'll definitely be bringing friends here next time we're in Seattle. Tip: They do true Thai spice levels here--proceed with caution."

And no, that's not a bad thing, quite the opposite. Cornbread is almost impossible to cut without turning into a head of crumbles, but the flavor is on point. Note: the "topped with coconut shavings" is an understatement. There's almost as much coconut as corn here. So if you're not a huge fan of coconut you may want to steer clear. The place is hustling and bustling, and there is little space between the tables, but while seated you don't mind; the noise level is ok and your conversations don't carry between tables. For this visit, my friend and I got the Thai green tea latte, key lime tea, egg tart and a slice of tiramisu crepe cake.
