    Long Cream Bread
    Ken B.

The milk bread is exceptional! It's soft, pillowy, and flavorful enough to enjoy on its own. The cream filling is also very well made. It's light, silky, and pleasantly sweet without crossing into the overly sugary territory that's common in many American bakeries. For my personal taste, I'd simply prefer a little less of it. The bread is the true star here, and I'd love for it to have a chance to shine a bit more. That's not a criticism of the pastry; it's an acknowledgment that both components are excellent, and I personally lean toward a higher bread-to-filling ratio.

Love visiting here whenever I'm in the Dunhuang plaza. I really enjoy their pastries and how they're made. I'm not really a fan of some of their fillings though but I would just get other pastries as the bread is really enjoyable. My partner and I always grab their huge macaroons too!

We went around 1pm and they were still bringing out fresh bread. They have a variety of fillings (cream, durian, coconut, red bean, taro), in cute animal shapes, and large versions of classics. We got a lot of their pandan flavored bread - and although you can't really taste/smell the pandan flavor, I just love soft and fresh the breads were.

Service was very stand offish but they offered a lot of different baked goods. I bought some coconut cookies that were very crunchy and tasted like toasted coconuts.

One of the best bakeries in Bellaire. They always have the best snacks, cakes, drinks, cookies. Etc! We went when it was "closed" but they were so packed I think they stayed late until they sold out! Would def recommend coming to get your sweet tooth fix.

A quick visit around the Chinatown area and I was going on a bit of a unique day. It was Mid Autumn festival but surprisingly not very busy like I expected. I decided a few places and wanted to stop in Six Ping. I know there are a few locations but this is the one close by Friendship bbq. I was looking for mooncakes to celebrate the holiday and I have usually visited the location close by Viet Hoa often. But this would be my 2nd location if I am not there. Their selection is similar but with a few other items. There was a special of buy 2 get 1 free for mooncakes that day. I personally like the red bean and the other traditional flavors like mung bean or lotus are nice as well. Taro is another one I like to pick too. But additional this is my bakery for individual wrapped pineapple cake and selections of bread. The ham & cheese is a quick bite for me on the go. With the bread being fluffy and soft. Red bean and taro are usually my staple picks. But I never have any issues with any of the offerings. Overall I enjoy visits to Six Ping. The bakery is nice and simplistic in feel. It gives me a local neighborhood bakery vibe. I did pick the red bean turtle bread, ham & cheese, and took advantage on the mooncakes special. Personally for me, when in Chinatown, cash is king. You do get a bit of a discount off the total. Six Ping is straightforward in its approach: local, solid staple options, and custom cake orders. Meets all the requirements in my book.

I mean. So much choices of fresh baked goodies. Conveniently located in the Asian mall where we ate, and shop. I tried different pastry choices and they were good! Service was quick and efficient. Clean and organized.

Many delicious variety of bread and pastries I got to try some of them and they were all good! Literally, I don't know the name of that soft bread but the one I had was green soft somehow chewy bread! Very yummy And I had a custard bread as well! Many more amazing things to try out here! Come visit for those who love bread and pastries! Cheers

This place delivers sweet treats without overpowering you with sugar! We came here for dessert and every piece of dessert we had was light and satisfying! We even tried the ube gelato and loved it! Quick and friendly service! Not a really a sit down place so make sure you take it to go. Chill vibe that's enough to meet the needs. We even bought a piece for my aunt and she loved it!

    Coffee and pandan sponge bread

Stumbled apon this bakery in the plaza while in town. Came in around 9 pm but on Yelp it said closed at 6 pm so not sure what's that about. It's a small bakery with a varieties of pastries such as sponge bread, hotdog buns, taro buns, cookies and cakes. When you walk inside, the left side along the walls have trays of buns laying around with the price and name of the buns. I grabbed coffee and pandan sponge bread. Then as I was checking out the lady said buy 2 pastries get 1 free on the counter next to her. I think because it was towards the end of the night she is trying to get rid of everything. So I grabbed 2 taro bread and 1 sweet bread. She got me alright. I only spent $10.50 on 5 items. I ate some of the pandan sponge bread. It was so light, soft and fluffy. Just amount of sweetness. Yes I would come back here again!

Literally my go to place for all my cakes. This time I was left amazed. It was my sisters birthday and there's this type of cake design going viral. I didn't know who could make me a cake like that and all I had to do was show them a pic and they got to work. It was so pretty and tasted so yummy. Thank you Six Ping! (the Kirby center wasn't included)

Cute little bakery with some of the sweetest and nastiest bread I've ever tried lol My favorite is the vanilla cake with the blueberry and raisin. The service wasn't friendly at all, however worth the try. I would come back to try much more for sure.

Chinese style pastries are always a win in my book. This bakery has all your wants and desires - even though I'm not a fan of durian, they have a lot of durian desserts. Everything is individually wrapped and easy to see and pick from. Very clean shop.

I made a bee line to get my funnel cake before the word spread that TFB was in Pearland! I went to my IG just to see what their times would be for the pop up. First post I see is that they have a featured flavor- the cookie butter funnel cake. With Biscoff cookies and pieces of cheesecake interlingled within... Yall, I'm not a big sweets person and I only bought the large to support the biz, but that dang funnel cake is no more! Gone. Disappeared. Now, not all at once. They have a lot of really cool stuff here though, from handmade/crafted ice creams to candies to boxes of chocolates. It really is a one-stop-shop if you want interesting/middle eastern desserts! I ended up not getting anything since even the dubai chocolate crepe I'd been looking at just looked like it would be too much sugar at once, but will say -- the place was quite packed when we went on a Saturday. There were almost no tables available! It was during the world cup which they did have showing on a couple TVs in there and a lot of people were watching so not sure if that was contributing to more foot traffic than usual (odd to me people would go to a sweets shop rather than a bar or something, but to each their own!). Side note you'll need a code to use their restroom. I ordered the split cup of Strawberry Almond Cheesecake and Dulce de Horchata. I felt that the portion could've been slightly more generous than below the rim of the cup, but I suppose the price is reasonable. I guess it's hit or miss like at Marble Slab. The cheesecake flavor was okay not overpowering, which I would've preferred more than the almond and strawberry. I think I wasn't impressed with it because the server scooped more of the graham crust than ice cream. I'm pretty sure that's another reason I didn't particularly care for their cheesecake. The horchata was nice with hints of cinnamon and with the split cup made it taste even better.

Since we were already in the area after breakfast at TJ's Filipino Cuisine, we finally got the chance to stop by and try their baked goods for ourselves. We arrived early, so the bakery wasn't too busy yet. The bakers were busy prepping more goodies in the back while my cousin and I browsed all the Filipino baked goods we really miss from back home in the Philippines. They even had suman, sapin-sapin, biko, and other kakanin, which was nice to see. I specifically looked for the chicken empanada, and my cousin wanted to try the ube white chocolate chip cookie. We also saw different kinds of siopao and planned to come back later to buy some before heading back to San Antonio. We tried the ube white chocolate chip cookie first, but honestly we weren't totally satisfied. It tasted more like a regular white chocolate chip cookie with purple coloring and didn't really have much ube flavor. I also tried the chicken empanada. My cousin didn't like it because it was sweeter than expected--we were both expecting it to be savory. There seemed to be caramelized sugar in the outside of the pastry, which probably added to the sweetness. I still like it, though it was definitely sweeter than what I'm used to. Red Ribbon's chicken empanada is still my favorite. Later that day before leaving Houston, we came back for the siopao we planned to take home. We finally decided to just buy a couple pieces for ourselves, heat them up in the bakery, and try them fresh. When we saw the price for a four-pack, we were honestly disappointed. It felt expensive for the size. The siopao wasn't huge, and while I like the dough, there wasn't much chicken filling inside. For the portion, taste, and quality, it felt overpriced. Overall, it's probably not worth making another trip back for us. We did enjoy the cassava ube suman, and I like the chicken empanada, but not enough to drive all the way to Houston just for those. If I live nearby, I might come back to try other baked goods, but based on this visit, I'm not sure the rest would impress my palate. I still give them credit for cleanliness and customer service, although we did notice fruit flies on one of the shelves and reported it. The staff was friendly, and the bakery itself was welcoming. At the end of the day, since they're a bakery, the expectation is great-tasting, quality, mouthwatering Filipino breads, pastries ", and kakanin. While some items were enjoyable, overall it just didn't quite live up to the hype for us.
