    Pistachio and ube
    Cathy S.

Finally got to try this place after the hype died down so thankfully no long lines. It was super cute with a good variety of desserts to try. Let's start off with the drinks though. I got the strawberry cloud, which is pretty much like a strawberry milk and I really enjoyed it. It wasn't too sweet and very easy to drink. Great option for little kiddos who can't really have caffeine yet. As for the breads and the toast, we got to try a few different flavors, including the black sesame, strawberry, ube, cookie butter, and pistachio. Of all of them my favorite was probably the cookie butter since it was a good sweetness and had some texture. The others were pretty good, but I felt like the black sesame wasn't strong in taste. The ube was one we got as a salted bread form and I liked the texture of the bread and how the saltiness balances it out, but I think there was too much cream to bread ratio. Overall cute place and worth a try!

Nice staff. Ambiance was ok. Honestly thought it should be busier. Came for the bread of course! Got some coffee(not the biggest fan of) But the bread was good. I thought it was going to feel heavy but it was way lighter. The cube bread I got was the earl grey. The flavor wasn't super strong, which matched the bread. Nothing was over powered or over sweet. It felt surprisingly balanced. They also gave us a free salt bread covered in chocolate and pistachios which actually was really good. Salty finish. Sweet start. Great bread would definitely come back for it.

Black sesame kream bomb ($7)-- cross section

Maybe a 3.5 stars, but rounding up because of its uniqueness! Located in the busy Bellaire food street, Le Kream sits where Beard Papa's and Captain Baang (RIP) used to stand. We tried 2 kream bombs (cube croissants) and 1 mini cake box. ** Crème brûlée kream bomb: bread was pretty dry and hard on this one, but the cream inside was sweet and silky. This one won on flavor. ** Black sesame kreme bomb: cream had a veryyyy light black sesame flavor (would've liked more!). It also seemed over beaten and almost on the curdled side, the bread was slightly better than the crème brûlée. It was softer and had that layered texture... still just ever so slightly dry. ** Biscoff mini cake box: Soft layers of cake and whipped cream that were moist and fork-tender. Not too much Biscoff flavor, but I enjoyed the sweetness of the cream. Overall, I think they could benefit from some quality control and standardize their bread part for each cube + make it softer. Glad I waited for the hype to die down, but I would stop by Le Kream to try another flavor of their kream bombs (mostly for the interior cream!) if I was in the area. Service was friendly, and the inside was empty for us to enjoy our snacks at one of their tables. The inside is bright, simple, and clean, and they were playing K-pop music.

Le Kream has made it all across social media for the novelty of cube-shaped croissants. Came in on a Saturday evening, where the tables were filled but there were no lines. The Kream bombs are on the side instead of directly in front of the cashier, so it's a little confusing to move around back and forth. They're about $6.50-7.10 per cube, so definitely on the expensive side. I also got an A'Peach smoothie - A'Peach smoothie: Apple and white peach, but unfortunately the Apple overpowers it a bit, making it taste like an apple juice smoothie with barely any hint of white peach. 3/5 - Creme Brûlée cube: slightly bitter and burnt taste of the roasted sugar, no crunch that I would expect with a good caramelized crust, tasty custard but the croissant dough is a little tough, not very buttery or flaky, and the corners are dry and hard. - Earl Grey: same complaint for the croissant but the cream had a nice strong earl grey flavor that paired well with the bread for a really well-rounded bite - Yuzu: lovely light citrusy cream with small bits of yuzu, nice and refreshing - Biscoff: creamy, good cookie butter flavor - Black sesame: nice nutty flavor Overall, the bread is a little stale but the cream pairings are great. I would love if they had smaller versions with less bread and more cream. Will need to try their other flavors and options next time!

Ube (top), matcha (left), yuzu (right)

Cube crossiants! Finally we have it in Houston! Le Kream offers a bunch of unique cube crossiants filled with matcha, ube, yuzu, tiramsu, pistachio, creme bruelee, strawberry, milk, earl Grey, black sesame. Generous filling but as some other reviewers say, theyre definitely more harder versus the soft fluffier type of crossiants most are used to. A bit expensive (~$7) a piece. While the taste was more on point for the 3 we got (matcha, ube, yuzu) it does taste a bit artificial. They're not overly sweet and are a very light dessert option. Our group definitely got tired after a few bites. I think the Ube was the best out of the three. They brought out a new batch and it tasted much more fresh compared to the Matcha and Yuzu. I wouldn't recommend waiting to eat these outside the shop as you will probably tell a difference Very clean space with a glass display of all the kream pasties. Parking in this strip is always terribly busy. There's a parking garage for overflow but weekends, expect a little bit of difficulty.

Matcha einspanner Coffee einspanner Yuzu croissant

The double matcha einspänner was actually pretty decent for a matcha-based dessert drink. The coffee with an extra shot was solid, especially for those who prefer something less sweet. As for the square croissants, I agree with the general consensus. Since they're pre-made and left out on the counter, they're not exactly fresh. And because they're filled with cream, they can't really be warmed up. So, you're basically biting into a dense, somewhat hard pastry. That said, we tried the yuzu one, and the cream filling was surprisingly good. All in all, I wouldn't go out of my way to come back, but it wasn't a bad experience.

    Sarah K.

Matcha was actually really good - super creamy and a strong matcha taste. The addition of the cold foam was a + as well!! Would definitely go back for the matcha! Wasn't too keen on the crossiants - yes, a sweet filled Crossiant can't be BAD, but it wasn't giving what it was supposed to give. Our expectations were more along the lines of a super flaky, crisp style Crossiant with a smooth filling, but instead the Crossiant was a little soggy. Go for the drinks instead. It's also interesting to note that unless you are ordering the coffee drink or the matcha, the rest of the espanniers are just flavored milk. I thought they would also consist of a mix of either espresso or matcha + flavored milk, but not the case here fyi.

Le Kream is located at the popular Bellaire Food Street, serving the creamiest drinks, and cubed croissant bombs. There's a variety of dessert you can choose from, and you can tell that they specialize in einspanners. They went viral for their cubed croissant bombs, and unfortunately, it just doesn't live up to the hype. I was expecting them to be very fluffy, but the exterior was a bit tough. Take a look at the mid-section cut I made. It's almost a clean cut... which isn't a good thing. This could be because the cube tins that the croissants were baked in. When baked like this, it often creates an undesirable crust. The cube is definitely aesthetically pleasing, but I think they would do so much better if they also made regular cream croissants as well. The milk cream was tasty! That was the only good part. We ordered the Ube Einspanner and Earl grey einspanner. They specialize in these type of drinks, and it shows. I love anything creamy, and they nailed it with these drinks. The ube color is gorgeous, and the flavor was strong. I often find that earl grey drinks are hit or miss, however, the earl grey flavor is spot on. I would order again. I probably wouldn't return for the kream bombs, but if I'm in the plaza, I'd come back to try more einspanners. If you love creamy drinks, I recommend.

Tried this place for the first time. I ordered the crème brûlée. I would describe these types of desserts as a squared filled croissant. Although tasty, I think it was a little too hard at the bottom and maybe would have tasted better warmed up. I also had an iced cappuccino.

I visited because of all of the Instagram hype! While the Kreme puff was delicious, the service was a bit pushy. This location was super busy and understandably so but when I tried to order a latte (which is on the menu), the staff continuously kept telling me that it wasn't that good because they only specialize in spinners. When she wouldn't take no for an answer I ordered an espresso spinner. When asked about milk alternatives, I was told that they do not have any and they do not use whole milk either. They've curated their own goat milk and that is super creamy.. At the end of all this, I threw out the coffee and enjoyed the kreme puff. I'm pretty sure I won't come back. There are locations that have just as good puffs ‍ There was also no ambience. Too many tables and not enough space. This is more of a takeout place

Yuzu kream bomb and Ube kream bomb

A treat! My friends and I enjoyed the cube croissants at Le Kream. It was busy on a weekend afternoon. You can either at the kiosk or at the counter. We got the yuzu kream bomb and the ube kream bomb. While these sound super indulgent, thankfully they aren't overly sweet. The yuzu had just the right amount of tartness and the ube one had lovely ube flavor. They are a bit pricey, so hopefully they last. Would return.

Extremely busy so you may not have a chance to get a table. Ambiance is casual but with cute drinks. I enjoyed the matcha and was really lucky to have shared the dream bombs that we got, because its definitely too much for one person. Overall a fun experience but parking can also be very cramped.

I was excited to see the cube croissants in Chinatown Houston. They have a lot of varieties so I bought a few to try and give to my family. I was actually quite disappointed on the outcome. I had the pistachio kind and the cream was a bit sour taste nothing taste like pistachio. Not sure if it's supposed to have a sour cream or the cream went bad. My family had from Tiramisu, matcha and ube and they told me they weren't impressed at all with them It is overpriced ($6-7) for the quantity and quality of the product. Good luck le Kream but it will take more efforts to stay in this competitive field of food and beverage in Houston .

When I stopped by on a weekday evening at 9pm it was packed. They had stations setup throughout the store to order different goods, which helped to alleviate the rush. Knafeh ($6) - They offered 2 types of knafeh, one with cheese and one with custard. I went with the one made with Nabulsi cheese and topped with shredded phyllo, and soaked in sugar syrup. It was warm, crispy and delicious! Karak tea ($5) - This milk tea drink was made with aromatic spices, primarily cardamom, cloves, ginger and cloves. I was happy to see they used whole milk instead of evaporated milk. The drink was incredibly rich and creamy and tasted great. Turkish delight ($18 / lb.) - This was extremely fresh, soft and chewy, made with cornstarch, sugar, nuts. Some of the varieties I tried had chocolate and/or fruits. The baklava here was fresh made with layers of phyllo dough, chopped nuts, and held together with some honey. The nut offerings here included, almonds, walnuts, peanuts and a few more. Overall I was impressed with everything they offered here with the exception of the nuts, which I thought were just ok. I'd definitely return if I was in the area.
