I came on a Saturday morning to dine in. The restaurant was fancy and beautiful, and the environment was serene. My friend and I were the only customers dining in. A handful of customers came in to get to-go. I had ordered a Pisachio Mille Crepe and a cup of Americano. However, the crepe did not meet my expectations. I was really excited to try the crepe as I've heard many positive comments about LadyM crepes, but in my opinion, it only tasted ok because it just tasted like mainly cream. The pastry part was there but did not add anything to it in flavor or texture as the cream is overpowering. I kept on thinking I would've enjoyed a piece of cheesecake more. My Americano was a bit pricey but also ok, nothing much to comment about it. Given the grandeur theme of the Lady M brand, it is quite fitting for it to be in a place like the Galleria. The staff is pleasant enough to assist with the breakdown and may even direct folks to sit out in their roped off, small, and super not-group-friendly seating area atop of the rest of the mall. The cake slices are anywhere from $10-15 a slice. They're pretty, light, and unique from the taste down to the packaging. The M in Lady M stands for the mille crepes, a style that blends French sophistication with Japanese flair. This is as extravagant and as bougie as it gets. Special occasion gift? Absolutely. I was next door for a VIP opening event and they served Lady M Cake for dessert. So of course I had to go next door and check it out! This place feels like it came out of Europe. Chandeliers, the metal ceiling tiles. Just a beautiful boutique cafe. The cake was super uniqu. Made out of a LOT of thin layers with cream between them. Sweet but not too sweet, and one slice is, by far, plenty. I did however get two more slices to-go so I'm looking forward to trying those later. Wow! This place is gorgeous! I love the decor and how bright everything is inside. You get seated right away if you are dining in and everything sounded delicious. With most picturesque restaurants, the food tends to not be on the same caliber as the aesthetics. However, Lady M defies this stigma. The menu presents options that would agree with many people no matter the preference. There are some flavors that are subtle, and others that pack a more intense sweet kick. My friends and I had to have ordered 4-5 different flavors. I believe the favorite almost the table had to be the Green Tea. As a tea enthusiast, I also really enjoyed the Jasmine flavor. The cakes were simply sublime. Although I do have my preferences, I can honestly say I didn't dislike any of them. It is pricey, but I think the experience justifies itself. I'm super happy to have our own Lady M store here in Houston, TX! I was ordering them online in the past but now I can directly just come here to pick up a whole cake or a slice. The staff were amazing and very helpful. There was a line indicator to help direct me to where I should stand to place an order or pick up. I got a green tea and Marron Mille crepe slices. Food: The cake are always amazing but there are some better then others. Matcha Mille cake: 5 This is my go to cake because of the contrast between the sweetness of the cake and the slight bitterness of the matcha. I think this is one of their best cakes! Floral Mille cakes (Ex. Rose and Lavender): 3.5 While the cake still tastes good the florals are always a miss for me because they're really one dimensional compared to some of the other cakes since the flavor is also a bit mute. Pumpkin Mille Crepe: 5 If you love the taste of pumpkin then you have to try this one! The puree was seasoned with all the spices you associate with pumpkin pie and the texture was a nice contrast to the Mille cake! Red bean cake: 5 This sounded so weird but it was the signature mille cake flavor for the 2023 Chinese New Year season. My Aunt loved it so much that she ate her kid's portions too. I loved how the red bean flavor came through in this cake! Earl Grey and Black Sesame: 3.5 I think my expectations for these were a bit too high. While they were good they didn't hit the spot like I had expected. For the black sesame, the nuttiness wasn't very strong which was disappointing. The same issue was found with the earl grey. However, both still tasted good and the texture was perfect. I just wasn't wowed like their other cakes. While there is a seating area at the "balcony" in front of the store I've seen it closed from time to time. This time we got the Green Tea and signature original mille cake and got the red velvet (I think this is a seasonal item). The red velvet was very tasty as well and if you get a chance, you should give it a try (I just don't know how long they will sell them, I think it's a seasonal item like pumpkin spice latte at Starbucks). There's also no trash can near by, when my son went to ask if the counter staff could throw something away for him they would not oblige either (although they weren't unpleasant about it).
