Our favorite pho spot! We've been coming here what feels like weekly. They only serve pho and drinks. Service is friendly and fast! Place is tidy and clean. They are very very generous with their noodles and protein quantities. Thanks Sit Lo for being so great.

I won't lie, I expected subpar pho due to how Americanized the restaurant felt upon immediate first impression. The restaurant's interior doesn't look bad by any means, but it's been colorfully designed to appeal the college crowd at the sacrifice of authenticity. I ordered the Pho Dac Biet (also called Pho Saigon on the menu) and the cashier gave me a confused look, asking if I could point out a photo or an item number instead. I'm glad to be wrong. The Pho Dac Biet comes in a gigantic portion size for $16.50+tax. All the different proteins that come with it (ribeye, meatball, flank, tripe, etc) tasted delicious in a well-seasoned broth. I particularly enjoyed the tendon for its soft, chewy texture. This branch in Davis offers satisfying pho for incredible value. Their Elk Grove location has now made its way on to my bookmarked list.

Absolutely LOVE that this is opened till midnight. Came here after a concert and was craving pho because of the cold breezy weather and soup was just perfect for the vibe. It was busy and there was a line out the door but i feel like it went by pretty quick like 10-15 min wait maybe? They have indoor and outdoor seating. I got the ribeye and brisket pho while my friends ordered the ribeye and meatball pho. Our food was delicious and i really enjoy the meat to noodle ratio. Love it love love. Keep it up. Also just a side disclaimer: bathrooms are located outside of the building and not inside. I really need to use one but i didnt know if this place even had bathrooms because i couldnt find it anywhere on their page but its not WITHIN the building.

It's fine for pho, a little pricier but it is bigger. They pretty much only have pho, not much to say except it's the strangest ambience I've ever had for a Vietnamese place. Metal bowls and pay before you eat. Very busy. Line to order and when we went around 6pm in January, the only available table was outside. They had outdoor heaters and the soup was warm so it was not too cold.

Got Pho recommendations by a few Vietnamese students at UC Davis, we came here for a quick lunch. Have to say they hit out of the park on the quantity and quality department! Every bowl of Pho is jumbo sized, broth is rich and savory, and the meats are very tender and fresh! Definitely one of the best food spots in downtown Davis.

So delicious! You won't be disappointed. Broth of rich and savory. Comes out piping hot, how it should be! Small menu but very tasty options of pho. Bathrooms were clean. Lots of parking.

If you are ever craving Pho and want it FAST-- this is the place to go. More often than not, your bowl of pho will be ready within 5 minutes-- you can wash ur hands, get some water, prep your sauce bowl-- and your pho will be ready. My favorite dish is the #13 and the only one I have tried. It consists of all the meats like tripe, tendon, ribeye, flank, meatball, etc. The meat can sometimes be really tough (especially if you go early in the morning) or really nice and tender, which is why I am giving it a 4/5 for overall consistency in the quality of food. The broth is slightly less flavorful than I would like but it is still very enjoyable and is a great comforting bowl of Pho, at the end of the day. I also think their menu only consists of variations of pho and chicken soup. When you first walk in, you order and pay in the front and you will be seated inside or outside. It is self serve water and hot tea (the last time I went there was no ice tea). The inside can get a little crowded and loud during their rush hours so I enjoy sitting outside. Overall, this is a solid Pho location in Davis!

Went here for the first time and there were already people waiting before it opened. They take your order right away before sitting down and water is self serve. The pho came out piping hot with fresh noodles (extra $1.50). The fresh noodles are definitely worth getting and they already give a side of vinegar onions for free which is nice. The broth however was a bit heavy for me and the ribeye meat was clumped together during the stir fry process. It would've been nicer to have thinner pieces of the meat in their pho for better texture. Overall it is still worth a try but they only have beef based phos and they are fatty and on the heavier side.

Came across Sit-Lo whenever I'd grab Taco Bell and thought why not give it a shot. I ordered #4 (brisket and meatball) and thought that the meat was very tender and flavorful. The broth also had an incredibly good mixture of tanginess and savory flavor. It was also my birthday and when the staff saw us celebrating, they kindly played birthday music and took pictures for us out of their own will! Definitely see myself becoming a regular here.

Quick, simple, and tastes pretty good. Came back from a road trip and thought I'd give this place a try. I ordered at the register, sat down, and about 10 minutes later my food was served. The broth was very tasty but I think that if I come next time I'll get a pho without brisket.

I ordered the number one with the ribeye raw and on the side. My daughter ordered the number 14. It is served with bean sprouts, Thai basil, lime and jalapeños. My daughter comes here often and really enjoys it. I found it quite filling and the rib eye was very tender.

We walked in and weren't sure if we sat ourselves or not. A server came out and showed us to a table with menus after a minute. It did take a little while for her to come back and take our order. We each ordered an XL bowl of phở ($18). I got the flank steak (tái) and she got the vegetarian (chay). The phở was delicious! The ratio of meat to noodles was appropriate. The add-ins (beansprouts, basil, lime and jalapeño slices) were the perfect amount for 2 bowls. We didn't eat the jalapeños, but we didn't leave anything else on the plate. I hate wasting food. I read that the service here is what is lacking. Our server came by twice to check on us, but didn't refill our glasses until I asked. She was the only one working the floor while we were there. It was busy enough that the noise level was high at times and then it lulled to just us talking. She didn't clear away our bowls and wasn't super attentive, but we didn't mind because we were catching up. As we were getting ready to leave, another worker came in, but the no one came out in the front for at least 10 minutes. One couple came in, sat down, looked at a menu and then left because no one even acknowledged them. Overall for us, we had a great experience. Food was yummy. A few dishes worth calling out specifically: the Tea Leaf Salad, Sesame Chicken, Coconut Rice, and the Pad Thai. Haven't been able to get to anything else on return trips. One note if you're a heat seeker -- the Pad Thai doesn't get very spicy, even when requested. I like extreme heat, so factor that in accordingly. Most people will find it perfectly seasoned. On my last visit I tried the black rice pudding with ice cream. Don't skip it if dessert is on your radar. Dogs are welcome on the patio, which is a great perk. One thing to be aware of: the gate can be a little tricky to navigate -- something to keep in mind if you or anyone in your group has mobility challenges. My Burma has my business. Highly recommend.

I went from a thin top to a medium weight sweater. We arrived in Davis I grabbed my jacket to pair with my sweater. Today was a day spent exploring Davis to see the California Conference for the Advancement of Ceramic Arts (CCACA). What a great Conference. We come each year for this Conference and explore Davis every time we are here. After exploring the first building of the show it was coming on time to eat. We looked around the current shopping center and my husband didn't see anything he was craving. He said we'll go more into town and look for a noodle place. He said he remembered one from our last visit, down one of the alleys. Walking up the street we saw a couple of advertisements. A sandwich board was on the sidewalk for Davis Noodle CIty, the exact place we were looking for. The little Noodle Shop in the alley. We weaved through the other businesses, past the dumpling restaurant, past the outdoor seating and to the front door of the Davis Noodle City Restaurant. The out door seating looked really welcoming, but it was chilly out so we opted for eating inside with the other table that was occupied. There were 3 parties eating outside when we arrived. When we walked inside we were greeted and told to take any table. We choose a table in the corner. The menus were under the glass table top, keeping it clean and easy to read. Each place setting had its own copy of the menu. After looking at the menu, remembering what was offered on the sandwich board in front, and cross referencing it with Yelp Reviews we started ordering. We opted for the Five Spice Beef Noodles, and I asked if that was a good option and she said it was their top seller. The Yelp Reviews were only ok for that dish, but I took our chances. The second dish we ordered was the Dan Dan Noodles She tried to upscale us to the one with vegetables, but that dish was a cold dish so we when for the standard Dan Dan Noodles. Both dishes came out quickly. The Dan Dan noodles were not spicy as I anticipated, which was good, I wasn't really looking for spicy. I liked the flavor and realized that if you mixed it up there is a sauce on the bottom that is really tasty. Dan Dan Noodles ($8.25 a steal) is a solid dish and I highly reccomend it. It's a great bowlful of noodles. If you are hopping for other ingredients you are out of luck, it's 100% noodles with a sprinkling of peanuts on top and a sauce on the bottom. The Five Spice Beef Noodle Soup ($12.75)was as described in the reviews. It comes with American Broccoli and carrots. The beef is so good it melts in your mouth. The broth is minimal and lacked flavor. I'd think that it's advertised as Five Spice that it would have more flavor. I don't reccomend it if you are looking for a strong flavor. If you are looking for great meat, that melts in your mouth, but is also a little fatty then you have the perfect dish. Both dishes came with fresh noodles, none of those dried and rehydrated noodles that some places serve. The noodles on both dishes were different and pleasant. I highly reccomend their fresh noodles. Customer service was good. She came to check up on us and was pleasant. Parking is street parking. And they have a bathroom on site that is clean and well stocked.

I am usually a defender of these kinds of restaurants --- slightly below average rating due to poor…read moreservice is the mindset I try to approach them with. Unfortunately, this place has both bad service and food is not great. 2 stars for the price. Food (3/10) - I don't know how to describe it outside of the fact that it's just bland. I got the "Marco Polo noodles" which is just Chinese jia jiang mien. Let's start with the positives. I liked the noodle texture; it had a nice spring and were thick for a decent chew. Now, onto the bad. You could just tell that the noodles would be bland just by a look and smell. The smell of the bowl wasn't one of fragrant stir-fried pork but it actually smelled like starchy water. The sauce was super watery and had no flavor and I don't think there was even ground pork in the noodles. From what I could tell, it was some diced up mushroom and then black bean paste, without black bean flavor might I add. I had to add a GENEROUS amount of soy sauce and chili oil to make it taste decent. Honestly, I'd say it's pretty hard to mess up this dish as a whole and there's a lot of leeway on flavor but I have not tasted something that bland in a while. On the opposite end of the spectrum, we have the thai tea. This thing was so sweet that it was borderline undrinkable. I had to wait for the ice to melt in the drink before it was bearable and even then, it still left this residual sticky taste in my mouth. Also it's 4 dollars for canned thai tea; she grabbed it out the fridge. The only sort of saving grace of this restaurant is that it's relatively cheap. $12.50 for a good portion of noodles might convince me to go back(?) VERY BIG maybe though. I might want to try their soup noodles. Service (5/10) - It didn't really seem like she wanted me to be there. She kind of just sat behind the counter on her phone with an Airpod in the whole time. She was just on her phone the whole time and overall inattentive. When she was, she was just asking if I was ready to order (twice in the span of under 3-ish minutes). Ambiance (6/10) - Eh. It was just kinda weird. The lighting was dingy. Also didn't like how they left dirty tables around (clearly looked like they had been there for a while). Overall, probably wouldn't visit again. Might give it a second chance but food for price was pretty good. Unfortunately, bad food for good price is a no-go for me.
