Broth is super delicious and flavorful! One of the best pho places i've been too that have really good meat broths, i'm usually a chicken pho girl but this place changed my mind. The thai tea was sweet just how i like, everything came out right when we sat down, will be back again! :) read more

Food quality here is top shelf from the broth sans MSG to the heaping plate of bean sprouts and basil. Meat is cut pretty thick instead of being shapeless slivers. I wish the menu is not just limited to pho and a few drinks. You are out of luck if you want rolls, salads or rice plates. read more

This is one of the top 3 pho places near the Sacramento area in my opinion. I ordered the beef rib pho and it was delicious. The broth was very flavorful. The meat was fall off the bone tender. Not to mention, the portion size was huge. I highly recommend this establishment. read more

First time eating here, and was surprised with how big the space is. We ordered our food and were seated right after, we had 3 different servers. The first one was for the herb plate, second for the drinks, and third for the bowl. The service was okay the first two servers were just slamming things on the table lol like why is everyone slamming things on the table today?! but the person who was also the cashier that brought our bowls *thankfully* didn't slam the bowl! I got a #12 and the meat was pretty hefty, and the tripe was thick, pretty good broth! I also got a coconut juice which was really refreshing. My cousin got a #16 had 3 bones and a soymilk, however they were disappointed since the soymilk came in a can (yee's brand) and it was $5 when you can buy it from the store for like $2 lol. Not sure if i'll come back but it was worth the try! read more

I wouldn't recommended this place SIT LO SAIGON! Too pricey and everything u asked for it'll costed u extra $$$ !!!!!! Anyway. NONE of the pho places in Davis and woodland are good! They all horrible tasted! DON'T GO THERE.!!! read more

Come from out of town to eat here for the big marrow bones and they are always out. 3rd time they're out now. I don't know what's up with this location but it's 12:30 and they are out of everything. Out of fresh noodles, oxtails, short rib and the big bones. They need to plan better read more

Reasonably priced and a shocking amount of meat and noodles in the combination pho. Definitely a repeat if I'm in the area. It appears they use a slightly lesser quality of rice noodles BUT the amount of meat and flavorable broth more then makes up for it. Absolute revisit. I've eaten at least a thousand bowls of pho and this place is easily in the top 10% of pho places. read more

Me and my boyfriend went here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. We both ordered 13, the signature pho, and were served very promptly afterward at an open table of our choice. Free accoutrements are blanched bean sprouts, thai basil, sliced fresh jalapeño, pickled white onion, and quartered lemons. Free cold water and iced black tea. Lovely spot that passes Bay Area standards. read more

I love the pho here I think it's the best one in Davis! Super flavorful brother and the meat is delicious. I also really like how they have the option of handmade fresh wide rice noodles, but I'm a little sad because now they charge for it. They have both fresh and blanched bean sprouts, and my favorite the vinegar onions! They keep the restaurant pretty clean, but you order at the front cashier and sit down at whatever table they assign you. There's both indoor and outside seating. Apart from that there isn't much service except bringing out the food, water and iced tea is self serve. read more

Extremely disappointed. Your Yelp says "Dogs Allowed" but today we were refused indoor seating--even though my dog is a service animal, quiet, and in a stroller. It was dangerously hot outside, yet the host insisted we sit outdoors. This is the third time we've visited. Previous times allowed us inside after discussion (and I tipped well), but today was inflexible and unwelcoming. If you're not truly pet-friendly, do not post misleading information. Update your Yelp page immediately. The food is okay, but the service was cold and unprofessional. We won't be back. read more

It was a hot day in the middle of July, but we were craving pho anyway and found this place in Davis. It was solid! Not much ambiance or service since you order at the counter and then find a seat. The pho broth was good--not greasy but not super flavorful, either. read more

My first time visiting this restaurant and it was pretty good for being in a small college town where food is mediocre to a captive audience. You order first and then they will assign a table to you. We ordered brisket steak pho with thin noodles and ribeye and flank steak with thin noodles. The broth is delicious and the meat was soft. I did not like that the flank and brisket was thick cuts of meat so quite chewy. But the broth was delicious and I really enjoyed the complimentary pickled onions. I think it must be sweet vinegar brine. Super great as a condiment! I also loved that they had pickled jalapeños on the table. I usually like to eat those with Thai food so that was a nice surprise. It was interesting that they had steamed or blanched the bean sprouts. Initially I was turned off by this as I have always had pho with fresh crispy sprouts but actually it didn't change the texture of the sprouts much. Overall a great experience and the restaurant was packed so that is a good sign. I'll definitely be back! read more

Best pho ever! The broth was delicious; the brisket, tendons, and tripe savory and tender, and the noodles just the right texture. Dipping sauces, bean sprouts, and a Diet Coke on ice completed the perfect meal. Atmosphere is bright and clean and the food comes out fast. read more

Yummy pho addition to downtown Davis! We were able to get a table for dinner immediately, and you order at the counter before sitting. They bring out the food super quickly. I loved the beef rib pho; there were three huge meaty ribs that tasted super rich and made the broth delicious - so worth the price! The combination pho was good too; the broth is on the lighter side which is nice if you prefer a fresher tasting light broth. The staff was quite attentive and made sure to let us know we could ask for more bean sprout/jalapeño sides if we wanted. Hot green tea is free too (self serve)! Overall, a nice casual spot to hit your pho craving. read more

passing through davis and was craving pho: according to social media, sit lo saigon was one of the best pho spots in town. // ambiance // located in downtown, plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. order at the front when you walk in and your food is brought to you. self serve water, iced black tea, and hot green tea. // service // friendly employees and our food came in less than 10 minutes. each table also gets a platter of onions, steamed bean sprouts, lime, etc. // price + portion // pho ranges from $13.95 to premium versions of $18.95. $13.95 is very affordable for dinner nowadays in the bay area. good portion size with a lot of broth and decent amount of noodles and meat. // #1 pho tai - ribeye ($13.95) // i decided to get the ribeye since it is the thin cut of meat. the meat was good and i opted for the handmade fresh noodles which are the wider cut. my only critique is the broth was not very flavorful -- i had to add a lot of hoisin sauce and sriracha to compensate. i wish that the broth was a bit stronger. otherwise, it was decent pho and a pretty good price. // would i reorder/return? // i would come back to sit lo if i was craving vietnamese food in vietnam. the saigon pho looks good if you want a lot of different meat too. read more

Service was fast and great. Best Pho by far I ever had. The broth was so flavorful, you really don't need to add nothing except chili oil. We got the Pho combination. Lots of meat. The only one suggestion is to make the brisket meat thinner. It was so thick and hard to chew. Other than that it was perfect. I love the variety of condiments as well. Next time I'll try the Oxtail/Rib Pho combo. read more

We came here three times, each time bringing our dog in a stroller or carrier. During the first two visits, we had to argue that sitting outside in 100°F heat was dangerous for our pet, and eventually they allowed us to dine indoors. However, on the third visit, they suddenly refused to let us inside. So are the rules just made up and changed whenever they want? If dogs are not truly welcome indoors, then why advertise "dogs allowed"? This is misleading, inconsistent, and resulted in a very disappointing dining experience.Very Very awful!!!!! read more

We went here on a Wednesday during lunch. Saw a lot of locals and, of course, college kids as expected. While the menu is limited, I have to say the Pho was delicious. They serve large bowls of beef Pho (no chicken). Go with the fresh noodles. They were superb. We also ordered a beef bone which is really what makes this place unique. It had plenty of tender meat and tendon which my wife loved. The pho broth was rich but, not overly salty. We also had a side of oxtail which was flavorful and super tender. Service was lightning fast and friendly. Prices were surprisingly reasonable. I definitely recommend if you are in the Davis area. read more

I heard good things about Sit Lo Saigon before coming so I decided to make the trek downtown and give it a try. I went on a Tuesday around 12/1 pm and was seated immediately as I came solo. You walk in and order at the front before getting seated, so it may be a good idea to figure out what you want beforehand. It's a pho place so the short and concise menu focuses on pho without much deviation besides the few add ons and drink options. I decided to go with the Saigon pho which has beef meatballs, tendon, tripe and more. If you dine in you can also ask for the scallion oil/nuoc beo so of course I got some. My order came out promptly after I was seated and the portion was very generous (there weren't any different size options). They really do not skimp out on the protein here so for the price, I think it's worth it. I added all the fixings to my pho including onions, bean sprouts, thai basil, and lime before digging in. The broth was flavorful and savory, but I think the only downside to my meal was that I found the broth to be a tad sweet. I would've liked it more if the sweetness was toned down, but overall I can't complain because I polished my bowl off! It was such a nice pick-me up meal in the chilly weather. I would definitely recommend trying this spot, especially if you're ever craving pho in Davis because I feel like the selection of good pho spots around here is far and few. read more

Service is great, pleasant and quick whether it's pickup or eat in, we've been coming here since they opened for several years so we've tried most varieties of soup. We narrowed it down to this order as our favorites: Saigon Pho with fresh noodles with everything, Gio Chao Quay (fried donut), and HK tea or hazelnut viet coffee. The last few times we went, including this visit, they put a brisket in there that is way too fatty and hard to chew, so we just take it out. Brisket should definitely melt in your mouth and barely chew, and not hurt your mouth trying to chew so hard. Considering the price per a bowl you could give a few real brisket like in the past or just eliminate and put another meat option in there. So until that time I will just replace it next time with more flank steak or tripe. Also last time we ordered the hazelnut coffee it was great but this time it just tasted like regular and after checking with the waitress who added the hazelnut, she assured us it was in there. If it was whoever made it before definitely made it better, because it was delicious in the past. We use to crave that drink so we were looking forward to it, but was disappointed. Don't get me wrong regular viet coffee was better than other versions in Davis, but hazelnut use to top that in my opinion. I only took off one star because this is still the best pho in Davis, broth is always flavorful, toppings and noodles great, fried donut is crispy but I was disappointed in only a few things if they fix that definitely will update my review. Despite those things mentioned I would still recommend the the food. read more

No frills, great food. You order and pay before you sit down. Only beef pho on menu, handful of variations of beef cuts and meat balls. Self serve cold water and ice tea station. Food comes fast and it's delicious. My go to place in davis for Pho. Please remember they ONLY serve beef pho here, it's what they're known for and that's how they make it so well! It's really annoying standing behind someone asking for things clearly not on the menu: "do you have chicken pho? What about egg noodle? How about eggrolls?" C'mon! If it's not on the limited menu, they're not going to make it for you out of thin air. Come hungry, leave happy. Highly recommend. read more

Amazing every time! One of my favorite spots in Davis for pho Quick service delicious food hot tea yummy and delicious !!

Delicious Pho (I had the short rib), great service, and great extra items to put on the pho like pickled onions and chili oil!

Get the fresh noodles if available with your pho. The broth was delicious. And the service was super fast. Our go to place for pho.

The food overall was great! We were seated quickly and the self serve water and tea station was convenient. I ordered the premium pho which includes oxtail short rib and tendon. I loved the tendon and the short rib. The short rib in particular was very tender and the broth overall was fairly good as well. The only reason for knocking down a star was that the oxtail had too much fat and not very much meat. 2 of the people I went with ordered the oxtail pho which was just oxtail and they also had a lot of pieces with excessive fat. Would've been nice to have it trimmed or potentially more meatier pieces but outside of that after trimming the fat the oxtail was delicious as well. Would've definitely recommend! read more

Very big chunks of meat. I had flank, brisket tendon combo, and it was really good. Recently I've had really weak soup at other pho places, but this soup was pretty tasty. We paid in advance at the counter, and bowls were served quick. Fresh lime and sprouts to add, just how I like mine. On a corner with a long row of windows. Need to walk outside to reach restroom. read more

First time at Sit Lo Saigon today (of either of their locations), but I was impressed! I knew it was recently new to Davis but wasn't quite sure where it was. I was surprised to find it next to the old Davis Regal theater where another Asian restaurant used to be - its name escapes me but I believe the former restaurant used to be there for quite some time! I arrived around noon today and was greeted by an employee at the front counter/cash register. It looks like they do pick up/to go orders from there, and they also have the menu available. Almost all options were pho, which doesn't seem weather appropriate for the 107+ weather we're having this weekend, but the day was going and not quite that hot yet and the restaurant was cool and not too crowded. I looked over the menu above the front counter and went for the Pho Chin, Bo Vien which is their classic pho with meatballs and brisket. I also ordered a Diet Coke, paid, and the employee directed me to table number 5, which was a two-top in the middle of the restaurant. Almost immediately after sitting down, another employee brought me a plate of veggies (onion, jalapeño, Thai basil, and bean sprouts) and the original employee that helped me out brought over a canned Diet Coke with a glass of ice. Very shortly after, my pho came out from the kitchen. Fast service! The bowl was big and hand a lot of meat in it. I snapped a pic and added all of the veggies from the veggie plate to my pho. There were also condiments including sauces, chili paste, black peppercorn, and pickled veggies on the table. I took a few slurps, as is, and then added some hot sauce into the broth to spice things up. The meatballs were the winner to me, here. Plentiful, super flavorful, and all around just a great addition to pho. I'd definitely get another soup with those. The pho broth was also flavorful, as is, but I appreciated the hot sauce to add, as needed. The meal was a big one and while I ate all of the meat, noodles, and veggies, I was unable to finish all of the broth. I think this speaks to the portion sizes here! From there, I finished up and was on my way! The whole experience was just about 25 minutes and most of that went to me eating my pho, which is not a quick meal to eat. I'd definitely come back here if I'm in the mood for pho and a quick, affordable meal! read more
