Our favorite pho spot! We've been coming here what feels like weekly. They only serve pho and drinks. Service is friendly and fast! Place is tidy and clean. They are very very generous with their noodles and protein quantities. Thanks Sit Lo for being so great.
The portions are huge, the broth is rich and flavorful without being overly salty, and the meat is tender and generous. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get, making it an incredible value. The service is friendly, and everything tastes fresh. The restaurant itself is pretty spacious & open. If you're craving pho with large servings at a great price, this place is definitely worth visiting. I'll definitely be coming back!
Absolutely LOVE that this is opened till midnight. Came here after a concert and was craving pho because of the cold breezy weather and soup was just perfect for the vibe. It was busy and there was a line out the door but i feel like it went by pretty quick like 10-15 min wait maybe? They have indoor and outdoor seating. I got the ribeye and brisket pho while my friends ordered the ribeye and meatball pho. Our food was delicious and i really enjoy the meat to noodle ratio. Love it love love. Keep it up. Also just a side disclaimer: bathrooms are located outside of the building and not inside. I really need to use one but i didnt know if this place even had bathrooms because i couldnt find it anywhere on their page but its not WITHIN the building.
I won't lie, I expected subpar pho due to how Americanized the restaurant felt upon immediate first impression. The restaurant's interior doesn't look bad by any means, but it's been colorfully designed to appeal the college crowd at the sacrifice of authenticity. I ordered the Pho Dac Biet (also called Pho Saigon on the menu) and the cashier gave me a confused look, asking if I could point out a photo or an item number instead. I'm glad to be wrong. The Pho Dac Biet comes in a gigantic portion size for $16.50+tax. All the different proteins that come with it (ribeye, meatball, flank, tripe, etc) tasted delicious in a well-seasoned broth. I particularly enjoyed the tendon for its soft, chewy texture. This branch in Davis offers satisfying pho for incredible value. Their Elk Grove location has now made its way on to my bookmarked list.
I've been coming here regularly (like at least once a week) since they opened because it was easily the best pho in Davis but recently the last few times I've gone the quality of the meat has gone down to the point I have to consider going elsewhere. I get #5 every time which is supposed to be ribeye and brisket. It's no longer easy to tell which is which because the ribeye is well overcooked and now the brisket they used to provide is unrecognizable.
It's fine for pho, a little pricier but it is bigger. They pretty much only have pho, not much to say except it's the strangest ambience I've ever had for a Vietnamese place. Metal bowls and pay before you eat. Very busy. Line to order and when we went around 6pm in January, the only available table was outside. They had outdoor heaters and the soup was warm so it was not too cold.
5 stars: delicious beef-based pho, fresh noodle option makes the whole meal feel lighter, about $15-20 per person, I would bring a friend visiting from out of town here easily Came here for lunch with my dad on a Thursday afternoon. Quick service, you order at the counter and they bring out your food to the table in minutes. There are bright red chairs with metal tables so very casual vibe. The person taking our order wasnt exactly the friendliest which was a bummer. We both got the Pho Hanoi (#14, comes with wok fried ribeye and garlic) with the fresh noodles upgrade which was a $1.50 surcharge but so worth it. Came out to about $44 total. The broth was good, didnt taste diluted, and different than the pork broths I've been used to from other pho restaurants. The meat was fully cooked, flavorful, and both of ours had a decent amount of meat. The fresh noodles were great and light, it didnt feel like I was forcing myself to eat noodles I didnt like. Standard garnishes (jalapeños, limes, sprouts) though they start you off with a small amount of make sure to ask for more if you run low. They also have pickled white onions as a garnish!!!! SO GOOD!! As you can see from the pic, I finished mine which is rare for me. I usually leave a lot of broth or a lot of noodles left over, not this time! Note, this place only serves pho as entrees so plan accordingly if anyone in your group is expecting banh mis or doesn't want something hot, soupy, and delicious. Their phos are beef broth based. I've been to a few pho joints in the Davis/Sacramento area and I would easily put this is in my top 3.
If you are ever craving Pho and want it FAST-- this is the place to go. More often than not, your bowl of pho will be ready within 5 minutes-- you can wash ur hands, get some water, prep your sauce bowl-- and your pho will be ready. My favorite dish is the #13 and the only one I have tried. It consists of all the meats like tripe, tendon, ribeye, flank, meatball, etc. The meat can sometimes be really tough (especially if you go early in the morning) or really nice and tender, which is why I am giving it a 4/5 for overall consistency in the quality of food. The broth is slightly less flavorful than I would like but it is still very enjoyable and is a great comforting bowl of Pho, at the end of the day. I also think their menu only consists of variations of pho and chicken soup. When you first walk in, you order and pay in the front and you will be seated inside or outside. It is self serve water and hot tea (the last time I went there was no ice tea). The inside can get a little crowded and loud during their rush hours so I enjoy sitting outside. Overall, this is a solid Pho location in Davis!
Got Pho recommendations by a few Vietnamese students at UC Davis, we came here for a quick lunch. Have to say they hit out of the park on the quantity and quality department! Every bowl of Pho is jumbo sized, broth is rich and savory, and the meats are very tender and fresh! Definitely one of the best food spots in downtown Davis.
So delicious! You won't be disappointed. Broth of rich and savory. Comes out piping hot, how it should be! Small menu but very tasty options of pho. Bathrooms were clean. Lots of parking.
Went here for the first time and there were already people waiting before it opened. They take your order right away before sitting down and water is self serve. The pho came out piping hot with fresh noodles (extra $1.50). The fresh noodles are definitely worth getting and they already give a side of vinegar onions for free which is nice. The broth however was a bit heavy for me and the ribeye meat was clumped together during the stir fry process. It would've been nicer to have thinner pieces of the meat in their pho for better texture. Overall it is still worth a try but they only have beef based phos and they are fatty and on the heavier side.
The pho is so comforting that it healed me. Sit Lo never misses and remains my top 1 pho place in Davis
The broth was really good and clearly made with care. Pho's not my usual go to but I can see why people love this spot. The whole restaurant was full when we were eating, everyone was enjoying their food. The music in there was great whoever was in charge had great taste, it was a R&B mix. Also Heads up, you order and pay before sitting. Which was a little unexpected but easy. read more

Came across Sit-Lo whenever I'd grab Taco Bell and thought why not give it a shot. I ordered #4 (brisket and meatball) and thought that the meat was very tender and flavorful. The broth also had an incredibly good mixture of tanginess and savory flavor. It was also my birthday and when the staff saw us celebrating, they kindly played birthday music and took pictures for us out of their own will! Definitely see myself becoming a regular here. read more

I went to UCD for 4 years and lived in Davis for about 6 years and before this restaurant existed there was no "good" pho in Davis. I can confidently say that Sit Lo has changed that! The pho here is really great and is even comparable to pho in San Jose which is really surprising. Their prices are fairly reasonable for the portions they give (and they give A LOT of meat). Highly recommend the short rib pho with fresh (thick) noodle. read more

Now where was Sit Lo Saigon while I was a student in Davis?! This would most likely age me, but back when I was a student, we only had Pho King to help curb our hangovers so this was such a nice surprise to find when my group of friends decided to do a weekend trip down memory lane. After a night of drinking, a hot bowl of noodle soup always hits the spot and Sit Lo Saigon definitely delivered. They are located on G St. where the Thai restaurant used to be near Wingstop. You order and pay at the counter first and they bring your food to the table. I got a pho tai chin with fresh noodles and the amount of meat it came with was insane! The brisket was fatty and delicious and I loved that they had different types of spices at the table, like the pickled jalapeños. The rest of my friends enjoyed their bowls of pho and were so surprised Davis now had a place like this compared to when we were students. All in all, solid place for any Davis student that desperately needs something for their hangover. read more

Got a take out. Food was quick. They provide a lot of meat. Very thankful that the rib eye slices were super chilled and cold. Can store in the fridge for 2 or 3 days as a result. Got the Vietnamese coffee. Nothing to write home about tho... otherwise very good. read more
This pho place is like a cafeteria style restaurant. You walk in and order first and then find your seats. The drinks are self served, which seems pretty common with some of the restaurants now. I ordered the northern pho while my family ordered the regular one. My pho had a lot of meats and the broth was really nice and fragrant. The meat was a little more tough than what I'm used to. I chose the fresh noodles and it went well with the fish. Overall, I enjoyed my lunch and would definitely come for a pho craving. read more

I ordered to-go several times. The pho is good, with nice portion and tasty base. While the fried donut has a small portion. read more
Stopped by on my way to Sac, wow, I can't believe Davis now has authentic pho like this! I graduated 10 yrs ago and back then, there was nothing like this. Prices are comparable to the fancier pho places in the bay and might be a bit pricey for students. Is it worth it? Absolutely! The broth isn't just those instant sodium soup base. You can taste the difference - this is bone broth cooked for hours! Highly recommend read more

The newest pho place in Davis, opened in early 2023, restaurant replaced Thai Nakorn. Parking is fairly easy as there is street parking and a parking lot behind the restaurant. CARD ONLY! Order and pay up front, and then the host seats you. I ordered #4 which is a classic pho with filet mignon and meatballs ($13.95). Also get a choice between fresh noodles (default) and thin noodles. Complimentary hot or cold tea, you do you have to get it yourself, but really tasty. As for the food, the broth is really pretty flavorful, might wanted more aroma, but there's also a lot of soup. The meat is decent, slightly chewy and the meatballs were good. I think that the basil and bean sprouts could be more fresh and I really like how they have more picked onions as a side. I really do like how bright the restaurant is. The employees were helpful as well. A great place to hangout with friends! read more

Sit Lo has been my favorite pho place in Davis with its tender meat and flavorful broth! I always recommend it to my friends and it's the perfect place to take anyone. If you go, definitely try the fresh noodles. It's worth the upcharge! The service is great too and the food comes out almost immediately. I love the ambiance as well, and they were very accommodating for our party of 16. 10/10 I LOVE SITLO! read more

Would've been 5 stars but one of the girl employees with glasses was extremely rude. But shout out to serenity for displaying excellent customer service: I came in tonight with a bit of a sore throat hoping pho would help me. I paid $27.97 for a one size bowl of oxtail pho and a Thai tea. For starters it's really small and compact in there, & when assigned to seat 15 I asked if I can sit in a booth with a back to sit back in not just a chair, serenity was so happy to accommodate me. Fast forward. I cannot swallow a noodle and I'm piercing myself to swallow the beef so I ask for a to-go container and asked was there anyway I could get more broth-- I'll pay of course. Girl in glasses and messy hair straight up said no excessively rude (probably cause I looked raggedy-- I didn't feel good!) . Serenity then showed me where they actually sell the broth for extra and was happy to charge me so I can take home. I would come here again just for her! Big tip when you walk into restaurants favor the servers who actually smile back and greet you when you walk in no matter how far they are from you! read more

This is my go to Pho place in Davis. With being a first year here, I've been here so many times and enjoyed every single one of them. This time I went with my club here and it was one of our birthdays and they played birthday music for us when we needed it. Very good service and of course their food is top tier. Highly recommend! read more

We stopped by on the way to Tahoe for lunch, I Ordered the short ribs Pho,the meat was tender and fall off the bone and the soup was so beefy.the pickled onions and jalapeño are so good as well. Parking was not a problem. This will be my go Pho if I hit 80East. read more
The street parking wasn't too bad and I like the indoor and outdoor seating. You order in the front and get seated by the friendly staffs. The food came out quickly and was piping hot. The Hanoi Pho was extremely rich in flavor, largely portioned, but a tad too oily for my taste. However, there was a good kick that made it even more appetizing. I always prefer thick fresh noodles so I love to have the choice between fresh thick noodles and thin pho noodles at Sit Lo. I added a side of Chinese donuts and it compliments my broth real well. The Thai tea wasn't to my liking as it was more milky and the tea flavor was very light. read more

I always go to Sit Lo when I'm craving pho and it never disappoints!! They were super nice with speedy service even though we got here late at night with a huge group. They even played the birthday song on the speakers while we celebrated our friend's birthday. I don't know if you could tell but my bowl was pretty yummy :) read more

One of the better bowls of pho that I've had. The broth was super rich and there was plenty of meat. When you walk in, you order straight away at the front desk and then they'll seat you. The service was quick. The vibe was catered to a younger crowd but was still full of people of all ages. Definitely try this place if you're looking for a good bowl of pho near you. read more

I came here with my family after a long road trip and their pho definitely hit the spot. You order first and pay before getting seated at a table. There is not much of a wait, I would say this pho place is very "fast food" like. Once you sit down, the food comes very fast. I ordered the Saigon Pho and it was a huge bowl! It came with a good variety of meats, my favorite was the flank and the tendon. You get to choose either thick or thin noodles. The broth is not too salty which made it easy to drink at the end. This is the perfect place to go to for some comfort food. read more

Are you a broke and hungry college student? Are you just craving pho and don't want to pay a high price just to walk away left wanting more? Are you just someone who likes copious amounts of bean sprouts in your pho? Sit Lo Saigon is for you! As someone who genuinely fears that the portions won't be enough to fill me or my partner, I deeply appreciate their unlimited complementary veggie plates. As someone who has been coming here for three years, I love this place. There are definitely days when the taste of the broth fluctuates from S to B tier, but you just can't beat the price and portions! Service is not crazy amazing, but who cares as long as you get your bowl and they do their job? I personally love the decor and vibes of the place because they will occasionally play Vietnamese pop over the speakers but generally change it up for the college students for whatever is on the radio. There is water and tea self serve style, with a hot tea option. While it is true that some of the other options for meat may come with large chunks of fat and may not be as tender or thin as I'd like, I just order the ribeye or the meatballs. read more
Yum!!! This place was such a treat on a cold and rainy night here in Davis. I ordered the #8 {$14.95} (you pay and order at the counter prior to being seated). It came with an ample amount of meat, noodles, broth and all the other fixings you might need at the table. It was delicious and hearty, perfect for the weather! Large portions too, especially for the price. I will say it does get busy at night, and there is quite limited seating, so expect a wait if you are a larger group. Food comes out almost immediately once you're seated tho. My favorite pho place so far in Davis! Check it out, I'll definitely be back too!! read more

Decent pho here. I got the special pho with all types of beef (including meatball). If you're trying to scratch an itch for some pho, this is a good spot. If you're looking for the best pho nearby though, I'd go into Sac. My only gripe is that the Thai basil wasn't that fresh. Limes also looked a bit old. Overall, the ambiance was very vibrant and joyful. They played rnb and rap when I was there. Service is more casual, since you pay up front first and then sit to eat. read more
Came in a little afterthought opened. Full disclosure that they're a pho restaurant that serves lots of variety of pho. I was excited that they had the option to choose fresh pho noodles. They are not made in house. You order first before you are seated. I got the pho saigon which comes with a variety of cuts of beef. The huge bowl of pho came out shortly after I sat down. It was nice that they gave me extra onions along with the basil and bean sprouts. The pho broth was pretty good, savory and not too sweet. The fresh noodles didn't taste entirely that fresh. There was plenty of meat. I was stuffed when I left. read more
