We ordered the oxtail pho through doordash but the pho was cold upon arrival. Everything tasted better when it was microwaved. We saved the broth to make noodles at home and it was still very flavorful read more

Sit Lo Saigon - Oxtail pho - Vietnamese Near Me - Davis, California

Was fairly busy, probably because it's new! Wait time was around 10-15 mins. It smells fantastic inside. You go in, place your order and pay upfront at the register, and sit you down. They said that they simmer their broth for 72 hours which sounded extremely promising. They have your standard steak, meatballs, flank, brisket, etc, but they also have oxtail pho and shortrib pho, which I don't see too often! I ordered the shortrib which was around $18, it came out in 10-15 minutes. First impressions: holy shit. They gave me 3 sizeable bones with tender meat on it that easily took up half of my meal. The broth was fantastic, really good beef flavor, hit the spot on a cold rainy day. The noodles are freshly made too! Will come back again! So glad to have another pho spot in davis, this is so well worth it. read more

Some of the best Pho you'll ever have. The broth is impressive and aromatic. Definitely a mother broth and it's totally worth getting the marrow bones on the side. The ribeye and garlic broth was insanely good too. read more

Sit Lo Saigon is a nice pho restaurant in Davis that has a good selection of different pho bowls, additions to your pho bowl (oxtail, bone marrow, and more), and Vietnamese drinks (like Vietnamese iced coffee, soy milk, and more)! Sit Lo Saigon has four different types of pho: classic (1-2 protein), combo (3 protein), signature, and premium! This pho restaurant is a bit more on the pricier side, though you will be getting more of a premium experience with your meal - such as their selection with their premium pho! Overall, the vibes of Sit Lo Saigon were nice! The staff of Sit Lo Saigon were welcoming, the music in the background, the food ~ everything ties it in! Would recommend! read more

Food is good. The vibe of the restaurant is pretty chill. However, I suggest the restaurant to revise your open hour. I went in a few days ago at 8:10pm. Since the opening hour is 8:30pm, I thought it's fine. But the server told me that they don't take dine in orders, only take out at this time. If you want to close earlier, please note on the website. Otherwise, it's pretty misleading. read more

Their pho is good but disappointed to find their noodles are not fresh. They are package noodles. I can taste it. Sit lo if I pay for fresh noodles can you actually give me fresh noodles. Not the package soaked in water and boiled noodles. Smh I'll give you 3 stars for broth favor and good hot oil but don't charge me for fresh noodles and give me packaged noodles. I will be back in 7 days. Do better read more

I ordered the pho gau (flank) and it was very delicious. As soon as we walk in there was a crew member walking to the front desk to take our order. They were really quick with our food, I waited a little less than 10 minutes before getting my food. The serving size was pretty large, I had leftovers. The ambiance was chill, I really enjoyed the R&B music they were playing. They have indoor and outdoor seating, and it wasn't too busy during dinner time. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because I wasn't a huge fan of the flank texture, but it was still very tasty and the broth was super delicious! read more

First time coming here but I came here with people who already been a couple times. When you walk in, you order at the front of the register and pay right there and then. I've been to one other restaurant that does this and I find it so convenient! I ordered the pho chin. The broth tasted really flavorful and they gave a good amount of sprouts on the side! I think next time I'll get the ribeye instead of the brisket. The Thai tea was also really delicious! The chairs were really comfortable, it was different from what I usually see in pho places but it was nice. There's also outside seating if that's your jam. Also the pho came out really quick. Within five minutes of ordering and sitting down we all got our dish. I was pretty surprised. We came around lunch time on a Friday. There was music playing and it was sort of on the louder end but I didn't really mind. Just something to note though. read more

Service, portions and ambience is good. The pho is not so good, missing a bunch of pho flavor and spices. The favorable reviews are definitely misleading. Sadly it's probably the best Davis has to offer. read more

It lacks the flavor of Pho spices. Service is kind of strange. We have to order and pay first then sit down to ne served.

Great food. My fave pho place in Davis. Ordered the Saigon pho and the premium pho and they are the best!

Not as good as its Elk Grove counterpart- the broth did not have the oil skimmed and had a lot more MSG. The Hanoi pho does not come with the fried donut and the steak was overcooked. Overall still ok if you are in a bind for pho in the Davis area. read more

delicious pho, massive portions and absolutely worth every dollar. hard to come by pho at this level almost anywhere. the bowl is massive and hard to finish even as a big guy. delicious. cute restaurant. read more

It has been more than 30 years since I have been to Davis. I was pleasantly surprised that there is actually a genre at dining place here. Coming from Orange County, Vietnamese food mecca, I know Pho or two. This restaurant definitely Exceeds most of the venues in OC. Two thumbs up. read more

I've got a pho with rib eye only. It was one of the best pho restaurants that i ever had. Highly recommended! I went there around 7:30 pm, there was around 30 minutes of waiting time. But after we got a seat, the food was served very fast. Great service! read more

Went here for the first time recently and was blown away! There's a limited menu, but the pho is *chef's kiss* and the size of the bone marrow wowed the whole family! Loved that the pho and the bone marrow came in insulated bowls- even though the weather was cold outside, our pho stayed hot for a long time. 10/10 recommend, already dreaming about going back! read more

I really enjoyed their Pho. The broth was very good. They give a good amount of meat and had some great opinions other Pho restaurants don't offer. It's clean and easy to get to, right next to the movie theaters. Highly recommend. read more

11-1-24 decided to find this place with really good reviews, as I arrived there was a long line/waiting list which meant it's gonna be good so I checked in with the girl with the colored hair and asked how long the wait is 25-35 minutes which I didn't mind left my name and phone number while we waited outside keep in mind it was raining and windy that night and space was limited to stand inside. After about 45 minutes I decided to walk in as I saw other people getting sat that had gotten there after me, not very happy considering I was skipped by 4 people ahead of me keep in mind they had asked for a phone number, why ask for one if you aren't gonna call it.......... Aside from that the food was great came out quick and very large portions. I would give this place 5 stars if they could work more on the customer service side and maybe the traditional sit down and order. read more

Sit Lo Saigon - #17 with extra tendon and Thai tea - Vietnamese Near Me - Davis, California

Food is good, but the service left a bad impression. I visited a few days ago with friends and debated whether to write this, but I think it's worth sharing. We were about to be seated at a table near the front when a group that had been sitting outside came in and took our table. The cashier and a girl with short hair tried to let them know it was our table, but another staff member--a chinese girl--told them it was fine and directed us to go outside instead. The group who took our table appeared to be of the same ethnicity, and the situation felt like clear favoritism. It was frustrating and uncomfortable, and honestly, it's made me think twice about coming back. read more

Great pho! But only pho. Outdoor seating. Very Asian menu. Friendly staff. Super Tasty!

8/10 pho! The portions were huge, the pho came out piping hot (which I love), the some of the meats were hard to chew, but the flavor was really good. Perfect go to spot if you need a relaxing cozy meal, and the inside had super cute lights. read more

Was really happy to hear Sit Lo opened another location in Davis. We ordered the Hanoi and Saigon. Hanoi had more of a beef flavor and the Saigon tasted more like your traditional pho which has the herb flavor to it with your tendons/tripe/beef balls, etc. Hanoi is also sweeter with more scallions and just beef. One of our favorite pho places is actually the other branch of Sit Lo, but we were surprised at how different they are. At the other location, the fried doughnut also came with your pho vs at this one, it doesn't. You have to order it separately. Also, at the other location for the Saigon, it had a lot more different meats/tendons/tripe and overall, the amount was larger for each pho. Nonetheless, this will probably be the best pho place in Davis so it's still nice it opened here. I don't recall the other location having oxtail pho, but this place has it, but when we got there at opening time, they said it was sold out? I think since it's new, they are still working out the kinks and I'm sure their menu will start having the things listed. Come check them out. read more

No customer service on 2 times I've been here and they ask you to tip when all they did was flip the iPad around so that definitely could improve, the meat is super fatty and comes in huge golf ball chunks so if you are into that go for it. Nothing wrong with the noodles or broth but there's better spots in davis 110%. read more

We come to Davis regularly and this place is on our rotation. The short rib pho is great if you are feeling particularly carnivorous. The bone marrow is HUGE and is worth sharing, especially if you like beef tendon and are willing to put some work into cutting it off the massive marrow bones. read more

Horrible. I listened to the reviews and unfortunately made the mistake of trusting it. We ordered the #1 which was extremely simple broth, noodles, and beef. Somehow it still went wrong. The portion was small and the broth tasted watered down. The meat was tough and tasted like discount expired meat. Overall, it was not good and I would recommend any other pho spot honestly. Service was mediocre and almost non existent. You pay at the counter and get seated down in a small space. The sauce bowls are filthy and condiments aren't wiped down so there was sauce and splatter all over the side. We asked for veggies and did not receive them until about 10-15 minutes later and the broth already had started to get cold. Hopefully someone else will have a better experience as this experience was a one time thing for me. I, for sure will not be going back. read more

Always order your beef meat raw on the side (especially for pho tai) - it's always overcooked when provided in the broth and makes it extremely difficult to chew. Otherwise, clean restaurant, plenty of accoutrements and large servings of broth! read more

The order was one Pho with meatBalls; the second order was Pho with meatballs and brisket. The brisket was tough and tasteless; the meatballs were tough and a mystery meat. Still am wondering whether it was beef or chicken or who knows what. The broth might be fixable with the addition of some ingredients. We ate a bit and tossed 2/3 of it. I am still wondering what all the 4 & 5 star reviewers ordered to give such high ratings? First and last time we order from Sit LoSigon read more

I love this place! The pho is so delish, and the options for meat are great. I tried the garlic beef and was amazed by the flavors. I want to try their oxtail pho soon. I also appreciate that you pay prior to sitting down. The food also comes out fast! A friend and I sat outdoors and it was nice feeling the breeze while eating the hot pho! read more

Having been to many Vietnamese spots (20+) in California, This is my favorite phở spot in the state. Plentiful portions and flavorful broth meet at Sit Lo Saigon. Sit Lo Saigon - Huge Bone marrow - Vietnamese Near Me - Davis, California

Went there with my wife and kids. You order before you get seated, which is kind of weird, but ok. You end up with a bunch of people standing right at the entryway looking at menus trying to figure out what they want. They offer many different combinations of protein for the pho, and two different kind of noodles (fresh and rehydrated). They don't offer much outside of the pho, so if you want a sandwich or grilled meat keep looking. They had a kids pho, which I appreciated. It was beef ball and noodles in a smaller portion. They didn't put any garnish on top, which I super appreciated since we are giving it to our picky kids. Both kids enjoyed their pho. I had the rare steak and beef ball and my wife had the combo. I highly enjoyed the broth, it was wonderful. The beef balls were also on point and tasty. The rare steak (they use ribeye) was soooooo tough. They really should switch to filet. I had to chew on it for a while. The noodles were overcooked. They would basically fall apart. I've had fresh noodles in my pho before and they didn't get mushy like these. My wife said that here tripe was good, but she said the tendon needed to be cut into smaller bite sized pieces. She also thought the noodles were overcooked, but the broth was great. I felt that the price was a little steep for the quantity of food. There wasn't much meat or noodles. I feel like the kids pho noodle portion is the same as the bowl you get (there's only one size). I feel like you could increase the noodles by 50%, that's how stingy I think they were. Overall I might try them again, though I have seen other reviews with complaints about the rare steak (it was quite tough). Maybe I'll just order the kids pho for myself. It seems like a significantly better price to food ratio, and I get the delicious beef ball and no tough rare steak. read more

Don't be fooled by the presentation. I was drawn to this restaurant because the pho looked more like the pho I'd get in Vietnam than the other pho places in Davis (i.e. fresh pho noodles, offering Chinese fried doughnut, etc.). I was very excited to try this place with my boyfriend, who had never had pho before. When the pho was brought to us, it looked quite promising until the very first sip of broth. It was underwhelming to say the least. The broth was extremely bland, and had no flavor whatsoever, leaving more to be desired both in taste and aroma. It lacked the aromatic spices, richness, and depth of a good pho broth, and lacked flavor to the point it tasted watered down. When asking my boyfriend what he thought, he said it was aight, stating that it was lacking in flavor as well. I was disappointed that his first time trying pho was such a let down given how promising the pictures and reviews of this place looked. Maybe we went on an off day, but I'm surprised how many good reviews this place has considering how bland the broth is. I'm giving this place 3/5 stars instead of 1 or 2 because the service was good, for the fact that they had fresh pho noodles, as well as for the fact that the other components of the bowl were good i.e. the noodles (although there could've been more noodles to be honest), as well as the meat quality and quantity. In terms of the taste of the broth itself? Lacking, and unfortunately I don't think I would come back. read more

The food was good but I have had better. Very generous portions and tons of meat. The broth could have been better I really had to "doctor it" with chili oil and sriracha sauce. It did not hold up the next day. The service was fast but still had to get up to request a doggie bag. It's a cute place. read more

Order and pay before you sit. Perfect for getting lunch and leaving. Menu is standard pho restaurant but they also have Hanoi style pho and also oxtail and short rib (as well as a few others). I ordered the Hanoi Pho. The price is pretty standard for Davis but portions were really good and the taste was spectacular. The broth had a really good meaty taste to it. 10/10, definitely coming back. read more

Found this restaurant on yelp while on our way to Sacramento. Decided to try it out based on the reviews it had. The food was good as everyone said, the service super fast and the variety of pho was phenomenal. My only complaint is that I ordered one pho to go and they forgot to add the basil, jalapeños & sprouts which add a lot of flavor to the soup read more

Run don't walk!!! This place is superb -- I was in pho' heaven! I was sooooo excited to see ox tail as an option on the menu. I know I looked like a cave woman sucking the meat off the bone. The broth was delicious -- meat was falling off the bone and they were not shy with meat portion. I for the first time was able to eat all my pho' it was that good. I legit couldn't stop even tho I was STUFFED! The ratio of broth to noodle to meat was perfect. The complimentary hot tea is awesome, but they had great drink on the menu as well. The Thai tea was fire. The service was the fastest I've ever experienced. We had just settled into the table and food had began to come out. We will be returning and suggesting this to everyone we know. Such a gem! I would have taken a picture but I was to excited to eat I totally spaced it! read more

Thoroughly enjoyed Sit Lo Saigon for its authenticity and delicious taste. I would argue this is the yummiest pho in Davis with the flavorful broth and tender meat. The ordering process is a bit funky; as you walk in you order at the front and then you are assigned a table. Before we could even get to our table a few of the dishes and toppings were already there - super quick service. There is plenty of seating and was pretty busy when we went mid day for lunch. I will say that I wish the menu included other vietnamese specialties such as ban mi sandwiches but other than that I have no complaints!
