Service is solid, food is delicious. Came here twice after a shift and better than most pho spots! Love the pickled peppers/garlic :)

First time visit to SLS Elk Grove. Pho broth was excellent, service was super fast. Really liked the combination of short rib with oxtail pho. Also ordered the bone marrow to try. Excellent choice. Only suggestion for improvement is to make the broth. hotter temperature wise. We tried the fresh instead of usual rice noodles which was extra. Good choice, but wish the noodle portion was larger. Will return to get my pho fix. Not aware of any other pho place that serves these great meat options. Ambiance is clean and basic. read more

this place has the best hanoi pho/ pho broth in general! i love that they also offer the fresh noodles in addition to the typical noodles you get at pho restaurants. the hanoi pho broth is the perfect amount of savory and flavor. i dont even add limes or seasoning into my pho because it comes out tasting perfect each time. my husband gets the saigon pho which is also great. i think this pho place in general has the best broth/pho. although they are the same owners as the other sit lo location and saigon alley, this particular davis location actually has THE BEST pho, even better than its elk grove/other counterparts. we've also had order the side of bone marrow, oxtail and donuts. the bone marrow is literally a big ass bone where you'll have to dig inside for the marrow so ask for a little spoon. it goes well topped off with the chinese donuts. the oxtail meat is nice and tender and comes with a lot. they both come in a bowl of broth. it can get busy while school is in session but their operations is pretty fast so the wait is never too long. read more

Upon entering, they take your order and assign a table number (confusing at first). Opted for the meatball and steak pho with Vietnamese coffee - the coffee was a delight. The portion was massive; I had to take half my pho home. The broth was decent, needed a bit more seasoning, but I'd return. They also have ox tail on the menu, which I'm eager to try next time. Great service, friendly staff. read more

Sit Lo Saigon - #2 ! - Vietnamese Near Me - Davis, California

Soooo delicious! I just got the regular bowl but with tendons, which is the leanest of the meats and high in protein. The tendon was perfectly cooked so it was so tender (tender tendons!). Service was quick & place was clean. It got a little packed after 530pm. read more

Great consistent pho every time I've been. Reasonable prices too, plus no need to really tip much, or at all since they take the order when you walk in the door, then bring it to you soon after, get your own water , etc read more

I had a bad experience as I ordered Pho brisket. I let the server know it was super tough and not acceptable. They said we know it is tough. So why in the world what a restaurant serve food that they know is not OK ?? so I question why are you serving something that you know is not going to be satisfactory to a customer they did not answer me. I asked for a refund it took 45 minutes to get the refund. I was very disappointed with their customer service. I will not be going back there. I went there to experience the food for a review as a food critic that I write a column for so of course, the review will not be favorable due to not accommodating me in a timely manner and serving food that they know was not OK to serve. Too bad, my review will not be a good one. I do not recommend right now. read more

I had low expectations because davis pho spots usually aren't that authentic or great tasting compared to spots in the bay. However, I was really surprised that the broth had the star anise taste. I was really pleased that there was $0 delivery fee over $12 orders on DoorDash as well. The meat on the ribs were fall off the bone soft & they even offer thick noodles (not offered at any other pho restaurant in davis). I'm also really happy they gave a lot of green onions & onions for my broth. I would definitely come back! This place is my current fave spot in davis for Pho. read more

I had a pho noodle yesterday, the cold dishes of vegetables didn't taste fresh and the beef was very hard and difficult to chew. I am a pho lover and a frequent visitor to Sit Lo Saigon. The quality of this meal is disappointing which resulted my acute vomiting and diarrhea in the morning. Bad! read more

Review from POV of a Viet kid from the Bay. Good for Davis but I wont say that its the best pho ever for sure. Portions are really good, they give you plenty of meats and the bowls are huge. Also have some fancy add-ons like bone marrow and oxtail. It helps me feel a little less homesick and I'm grateful for that. My only complaint? comment? is that the Pho is a little oilier than I'm used to and I feel like it could be more fragrant from the spices. Service is good! Food comes out quickly and is overall a nice experience. Modern looking interior and its been busy the couple times I have been. They may also run out of certain noodles or vegetables occasionally. read more

The food was F'N amazing, service was outstanding and with a kickback setting. The portions are for people like me 300LBS + you will not leave without a full belly. read more

Overall, I'd have to give this place 2-3 stars at best. I've gone 2x now and both times left disappointed. Visit 1: Beef ball and ribeye pho - beef balls were good, fresh noodles were a nice touch, broth was great, ribeye was tough and ruined it for me Oxtail pho - broth and noodles great but he oxtail was not trimmed and had a disgusting amount of fat attached Donuts - simple fried dough dip in broth ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Bone marrow appetizer - too much I trimmed fat and a minuscule amount of marrow, maybe quarter of a teaspoon at most. Wasn't told it came with broth so that was kind of a waste. Thai tea - standard but way too much ice Visit 2: Beef ball and brisket pho - just as before, beef balls were good, fresh noodles were a nice touch, broth was great, brisket was stupid tough and ruined it for me again. I literally chewed on a piece over and over again to only spit it out in a napkin Extra noodles - came in a little bowl of broth, nice touch Donuts - same as before Thai tea - same as before... still too much ice.. more ice than tea ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ If I had to do it again, I'd just get beef balls and fresh noodles, add a side of noodles for my wife and maybe the donuts for dipping. But they really need to do something about over grooming or the quality of the meat itself. Ruined it both times for me. Broth and noodles are good though. Stick to that and you're fine. Pricing wise, pretty expensive for what you're getting or start offering smaller sizes at lower price points. read more

First time here. Very impressed with the pho. All they do is pretty much pho, not much else but it's one of the best pho I've had. I ordered the side of oxtail and #16 short rib pho. Oxtail was so fatty and tender. The short pho had a choice of thin noodles or fresh noodles. I opted for the fresh. It came with 3 ribs that the meat was so tender and fall off the bone. The broth was flavorful and tasted so clean and fresh. When you get in you have to order before you are seated. Service was so fast that the food was already at the table before we sat down. Soooo fast. Ambience is pretty simple but clean. The red chairs didn't look comfortable but as soon as I sat it fit like a glove. The food was so good I ordered an extra #16, oxtail starter and side of short ribs. Amazing. I will be back. Thank you. read more

Found this place while moving in my son at UC Davis. Pho was very hearty and light. You can choose between regular and wide noodles. Service is fast and easy. Restaurant is clean and self serve ice tea was a nice touch. We would visit again. read more

Sit Lo Saigon - Pho with flank and ribeye - Vietnamese Near Me - Davis, California

Was a little hesitant to try this place out for a number of reasons. But went and tried the #5 (pho with steak and brisket) with fresh noodles. Was definitely impressed with the food. Here are the positives: 1. Great broth, 2. Lots of meat and 3. the restaurant itself was clean. It's not your typical sit down. You order when you enter at the front. Pay for the food and service including tip even before you are served. And there is a self-serve water bar to get your own drinks. Why I gave it four vs. five stars. 1. Price is a little higher than other pho places in the area, 2. When you pay, the automatic option for tip (I mention even before you are served AND) when everything seems to be self-serve is set at 18%. 3. There isn't a wide selection of sides (pretty limited menu). I think one was bone marrow, Korean ribs (I think) and doughnuts. If you're just looking for great pho, this might be the place. Would recommend. read more

The best pho you can get around Davis-Vacaville area. No msg and broth is as clear and authentic as it can get. A lot of meat portion is provided on each order. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to try pho. read more

Food was great! We ordered the Pho Hanoi and #6 and both broths were on point and the portions were appropriate for the price point. We did unfortunately find a hair in one of our bowls but to be honest it didn't bother us so we didn't bring it up. I did notice the person in the back handling the noodles had long hair and wasn't wearing a hair net. I don't know if I would say it was service or atmosphere but there were a few things that left us disappointed. You pay before you get your food which I guess is the new thing but I'm not a huge fan of it because I have to tip without knowing the food or service. Someone came in near closing time and they told the person they were closed. Completely understandable but it was a good 15 minutes from closing and they got our food out in less than 5 or 10 minutes, if the person wanted to order to go they could have but it's the restaurant's loss. One of the guys cleaning up was burping pretty loudly near us and I get it like if you need to release some gas/pressure you do you but it was more on the side of a proudly loud bro burp. They started cleaning up before 8:30 like 8:20 which again is fine, but it feels a little unsanitary when they are cleaning up next to you when you are trying to finish up your meal. I understand wanting to be proactive but I'm sure there's other things that need cleaning and I would have preferred if we could have finished our meal in peace. It also felt like we were bothering them for being there. I don't know any restaurant where they close the same time the employees go home but it felt like that was the case here. Overall the food was bomb but idk if I would recommend or be back often. read more

Tried their # 3 Brisket Pho today and it was delicious. Lots of flavor and the table had condiments to customize the flavor yourself. They also have a free water, cold tea, and hot tea station that's self serve and I really liked the cold tea. We will definitely be back! read more

Yum!! Even our picky eater kid loved it. For our first trip we got takeout and it was ready fast. We're a little inexperienced with Pho so we were surprised and confused to find little packages of raw meat in our containers when we got home but we called the restaurant and they patiently and politely explained why and we cooked at home. (Pour boiling water over it or quick pan fry) From what I could see in the couple minutes I was in the restaurant while picking up the ambiance is a modern clean aesthetic and upbeat. I was there early and it was already moderately busy. Can't wait to visit again. read more

Decent pho. Good size. If you've never had pho I'd recommend putting 2-3 Tbs of hoisin sauce from the brown bottle of sauces they give you. And if you like spice all the jalapeños and a squeeze of the siracha from the bottle. half the veggies in to start and then the other half layer so they stay crunchy. Was delicious. read more

Sit Lo Saigon - #1 ribeye pho with fresh noodles - Vietnamese Near Me - Davis, California

Best pho place in northern california and I am Vietnamese, I would go here every day if I lived in the Davis. Do not waste your time with any pho place ever. Had Michelin Guide pho in Vietnam before and I honestly prefer this. Complimentary Iced tea and lemon/bean sprouts/mint. Insane value, I don't think I can ever eat Pho anywhere again so this restaurant pretty much ruined that for me. Be wary of going if you don't live in Davis because you'll fall into a deep state of depression as you won't get better Pho anywhere else. read more

Love the pho here! The broth and ingredients are so flavorful! It's a quick eat and go restaurant that mainly serves pho. Patrons order as soon as they enter and get a number for the server to bring your food over to your table. There is a self serve water and iced tea station which is kept clean. They have an indoor and outdoor sitting area which is perfect the Downtown Davis area. read more

We can finally get fresh pho noodles in Davis! This is the best pho in Davis! Broth doesn't make you so thirsty afterwards like other places. The short rib pho is so tender and they are very generous with the portions of meat. Limited menu where the focus is more on pho and not other things but usually the best tasting Vietnamese restaurants are the ones that only focus on one type of food. read more

This is has got to be one of my favorite pho places in Davis. This is the type of restaurant where your order and pay in the front before being seated, despite this, the service is great and the staff is quite attentive. I love that they don't cut corners when it comes to serving you a good portion of food and they also offer extra pickled onions with your pho which is my favorite part. The chili oil is quite tasty and they also sell jars that you can buy and take home. read more

I'm a vegetarian, so the food wasn't for me, but my partner (who was under the weather) thought the Pho was exceptional.

Came here with my besties and the food was good. The food came out really fast and the worker is nice. Place is very clean and they offer self-serve water. I would say the pho is okay but it's still a good place to eat at. read more

Their pho is pretty good but appetizers are kind of small. I would recommend checking them out.

Tried #1. broth too dark, not clear like good broth supposed to look like. Tai (meat) was shredded instead of nice thin slices. Even worse was the coffee (see picture)s) - very low quality and taste, asked for extra condensed milk and it still looked DARK and tasted bitter. The worse Vietnamese coffee I have ever tasted - shocking that it came from a Vietnamese restaurant. read more
