Back half of the restaurant

Came in for breakfast earlier this week, with a craving for pancakes. Being branded as a "pancake house" we thought this would definitely check that box. Sadly, the pancakes fell short for us. Though they looked beautiful, they were a dry and lacked flavor. Coffee was also quite mediocre. The saving grace was my husbands skillet which he said was one of the best he's ever had, and our waitress, who was kind, speedy, and perfectly attentive. If you have kids, this is the spot for you - definitely VERY kid friendly.

Classic American brunch spot. The interior was clean and simple. Our waitress was young and very friendly. The menu has a good selection of everything but not overly extensive. The food wasn't anything out of the ordinary but still a classic American restaurant!

If you're looking for small town charm, diner vibes, and good eats, look no further. You'll be greeted with attentive service who remembers regulars by name and their seating preference, a clean atmosphere with condiments on the table (minus syrup unless you order pancakes, WHICH YOU MUST), and the customers are just as friendly as the employees. We were seated at a booth table where I was able to take in the busyness and people watch. There was a grand table with a huge party that made me happy because they seemed like a warm group of people. I ordered a classic: bacon, eggs, hash browns and it came with a side of pancakes and orange juice. Delicious. There was absolutely no way I was going to finish my entire order and I HAD to a pancake and my bf's pancake home too because it was so damn good. And lemme tell you, it somehow was just as good later on in the day as it was served fresh. How do they do it? Who knows, but it's got me craving more. I WILL BE BACK! Also, shout out to a regular who hooked it up with a coupon for $2 off any order over $10.99! Not sure where she got it from, but they have coupons if you want to save some money!

Was hoping to find a cool little breakfast place to take my daughter to, this wasn't it. We got there at about 6:30, and found the dining room lights off, the open sign on and the sign on the door saying that they open at 7. We thought we would sit and wait in the parking lot, hang out and talk. After about 10 min, we saw people walking in. Went in also and asked about the sign. Was told "oh yeah, we need to fix that". Place is decorated in everything Hobby Lobby. Signs, fake ivy on things, etc. During our breakfast, we needed up realized that the average age of the diner had to be in their late 60s. Service was ok, getting a coffee refill took asking. The food was good, but nothing superior. I got the southwest skillet with pancakes and my daughter got the blueberry waffle. All fine and as you would expect. Good portion size for the money. Biggest issue was the drinks. I got coffee and she got hot chocolate. Both were very watery, with her cocoa looking odd. The color was even weird. Hard to mess up coffee and cocoa, but they found a way.

Two egg breakfast

The service here was fantastic, we went on Mother's Day and were surprised it wasn't packed. Our server was attentive and very sweet. They have a big menu but overall not a ton of veggie options. I got the two egg breakfast with eggs over medium, extra crispy hash browns and pancakes. The eggs were more like over easy which was fine, the hash browns came superrr crispy which I loved. Overall the food lacked a bit of flavor/seasoning but we had a solid meal.

So good, I had started before I snapped this picture of corn beef hash, eggs, & pecan pancakes.

The parking lot was super easy to navigate. The menu was straightforward. I ordered corn beef hash with over easy eggs. I also ordered pecan pancake/s -- I thought would be only one (it was two generous sized). Let me tell you -- anytime I'm in the neighborhood I will be back. The food and service was outstanding!

I love the fact that there is a new diner style breakfast place in the neighborhood. Portions are perfect, enough to take home to enjoy another day. Waffles are good, pancakes are good, sides are fresh and good... So why the 3 stars and not more? In all fairness, I'll have to return to this eatery, but this time around I got the waitress who may have been too overwhelmed by the crowd(?). It was packed, but moves fast, which is great! The staff is warm, friendly, smiley and the manager is so accommodating to the issues we had on this first time visit... So we ordered in and a separate order to-go. The order in was nice, chicken and waffles, waffle with strawberries, and corn beef hash with eggs and pancakes. On delivery, one of the chickens rolled off the waffle onto the tray and it wasn't served (rightly so), so I asked the waitress if she could replace that chicken and she said, "yes, I'll get that in". Well, the chicken was never replaced and then she put in my to go order for chicken fried steak. You get the option of eggs (done your way) and toast or pancakes. Waitress, never asked me what I wanted, so I got scrambled and toast. Grrrr. Well, when the waitress brought to order to me, I realized it was already wrong and I noticed she even wrote "scrambled" on the ticket (without asking me!). Anyways, management made it right for me, she adjusted my bill a couple of dollars and gave me a spare stack of pancakes for my order, and was very pleasant and appreciative of the feedback. So, I want to return, because from what I had eaten and experienced, it's a nice place overall. Well prepared dishes, friendly smiley staff and not pretentious. So value, good. Taste, good. Service, ok (for this time). Maybe the next visit, it will be better, and the place gets my 4-5 stars. Yes, it's worth the visit, it's that's good.

Irish skillet topped with over easy, look at that melts cheese on the left!!! Bingo!

Today finally came, and I got to visit on a Wednesday lunch. Our hostess and staffs were wonderful and made us feel so special right from the start. Of course, the food was the real highlight. The pancakes were crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and perfectly buttery. The gumbo was rich and flavorful, well-seasoned without being overwhelming. The grits were cooked to perfection and paired beautifully with the gumbo. I got the herbed goat cheese omelette and it was perfection. The side salad was perfectly dressed. I ate every last bite. No need to add additional seasonings. Husband got the ham & cheese omelette and felt the same. We split kids pancakes to get the toppings on the side. OMG people don't lie these are an indulgent and amazing treat. 4 stars overall because there are literally 0 modifications which is kind of annoying in my opinion. Like, they were out of hoagies and there was no way to say - I'd still get the sandwich just put it on different bread. Or I don't want mayo. Find that odd. I guess it's a choice but it does deter me from rushing back or trying more on the menu, and be aware if you go. Ps does seem there is an allergy option so if you do have an allergy I suppose you can check that but I'm not sure how to note what you need a change; didn't see it in the QR-only ordering.

I ordered the Hatch'd By You which consisted of two eggs, meat, hash browns and and English muffin. I thought everything was great. The eggs were spot on and the hash browns were super crispy - exactly how I like them! Hatch'd is a true example of how a restaurant should be run. We thought we had to wait for a long time, but it actually went quick (like 5 minutes) when we got there. We did not realize this place had an upstairs, until our waiter guided us. This place looks very large on the inside compared to what it looks like on the outside. The restaurant also had an rustic atmosphere. With exposed pipes, rusted decor, and 80's memorabilia on the shelf. We ordered coffee here, and one of them came in a Christmas cup. Even though it was six months away. My wife chuckled on how they served her coffee in a Christmas cup. Mine came in a plain white cup. But I still excessively chuckled on how funny the menu is and the staff are. The staff are very attentive to how your food tastes and make plenty of funny jokes with you. They also are very descriptive on what the specials on pancakes and omelettes are. As well as being very honest. I ordered the Benny's Got Beef Or Belly with Brisket. I know, long name. I watched the weather while my food was being prepared, and occasionally looking at the PBS TV nearby. My wife was drawing with my 11 year old daughter (and writing "secret messages") as their food was being prepped and prepared. When my food finally came out, I immediately took a bite. The brisket was very juicy and tender. And the eggs were delicious on the side. I tried this place several years ago. Was still the same good taste that I remember when I took my wife to this place. Very amazing place. Will come again.

There is a parking lot across the street, but also street parking. This is such darling and refreshing space. It is a small restaurant surrounded by plants and gardening items. We opted for indoor seating since we had our little one. The service was lovely - not pushy, and just very chill. We ordered a Calabrian egg dish with poached eggs and toast. If you looove yolks and runny eggs, that is for you! We also got the egg toast which is a soft scrambled egg on top of toast - so good with the creme fraiche and bread. I also ordered a standard breakfast for my toddler off the kid's menu - eggs, bacon, potatoes, and toast. As for drinks: an iced vanilla latte, a lavender lemonade, and an orange juice. Great drinks, but I think the kid's OJ was the best, lol! It was hella fresh and he did not want to share with us lol This is a MUST for brunch especially if you're looking for chill vibes
