Okay, it's safe to say that I am a fan of Polly's Diner and will continue to visit. Last weekend, when I woke up, I was not in the mood to make breakfast. Instead, I wanted someone else to cook for me and I knew just the place! I suggest to my hubby that we visit Polly's Diner and he was all for it! When we arrived, we had to park out in the back (I really hope the parking lot can be updated or repaired in the future becuase right now, it's so bad), but that's not going to stop me! When we walked inside, we were greeted right away and they had a table available, so we were seated quickly! Our server was already offering coffee and water to us which was perfect. She gave us time to check the menu and since I already knew what I wanted, I helped my hubby make a decision since so many items were on his list. He eventually ordered the western skillet and I ordered the strawberry pancakes which I could not wait to eat! While we waited for our food, the server(s) on the floor were checking in with us and chatting with us ehile they refilled our coffee. Once the food arrived, I was so ready to dig in! My pancakes were topped with strawbery glaze and so many strawberries, I knew I would not be able to finish, but that didn't stop me from trying. I did eventually need to ask for a box and broght them home for later. My hubby said that the skillet was really good and had all his favorite food items included. It was such a good breakfast and honestly, for the price, we know we were fed well. Once we were done, we went to the counter to pay and were on our way. Polly's Diner is just a cute little Fenton restaurant and I am so glad that we have it so close to the house. I already plan to go again later this week! read more

We parked right next to the main door, but family had to park two lots away. Yes, it was crowded, but service was FAST & food hot. So many specials & large menu makes me want to come again as well as the workers. Everyone was nice & some were related. So many pie/cake choices I was literally distracted to a halt on arrival, Then when leaving I was enthralled by a gigantic bowl of candy...also generous variety. Sadly, I did not have room for pie/candy. Served the most fries of any restaurant I have eaten at in 2025, & the thickest roast beef sandwich I have ever eaten. Hubster got a basic burger & polished his off as well. Family got a sandwich my mom would have wanted, but I'll be bringing her back for pie! I look forwarded to looking at the decor more on my next visit...pirate-vibes made me smile. We were engrossed in conversation & were one of last to leave before the closed. They did not rush us. Breakfast! Polly's Diner is kind of a hole in the wall, and I can't speak for any other food except for the breakfast. The place is always busy when we are there, the waitstaff are hustling and friendly. Quick and efficient and getting the food out quickly. Eggs and hashbrowns are great, taste like eggs and hashbrowns. No strange oil used to cook them that overpowers the taste. Biscuits and gravy are peppered gravy and not sausage, they are great. First time to eat here on a Sunday at 8 AM. Parking lot was full but there were spaces in the overflow lot and there were still empty tables. I was seated promptly, my order was taken and delivered quickly. Kitschy decor, but I wasn't there for the ambiance. I had the meat lovers skillet which was ok, if a little bland. Until I noticed Polly's hot sauce on the table and I added that and it was VERY good! Server didn't check back with me, but I didn't need anything so no complaints! read more

Went to Polly's Diner in Fenton on a weekday morning and I had a wonderful breakfast with a corned beef skillet that came loaded with delicious hash browns, 2 eggs on top and a side of 2 pancakes that was a meal and a half that filled me up for the whole day and costed a little under $20 including a coke with free refills and the tip. It was much better than chain places like Denny's and similar chain places I've ate at for breakfast around St. Louis, I'd give it a 4.5 stars if they allowed half stars. Although I don't think Polly's is quite good my favorite breakfast restaurants in South St. Louis, this place is closer to me. I enjoyed their Polly's signature hot sauce on my eggs that added a little heat but not too hot for me. I loved that they offer a dish called the horseshoe for breakfast as well as lunch that's originally a Springfield, Illinois' typical signature dish overloaded with hash browns, bacon or sausage and sausage gravy for breakfast and for lunch is usually overloaded with fries and whatever variation of toppings that comes with it so I'll order a horseshoe the next time I'm there , maybe for lunch. I have been wanting to try Polly's Diner for months now and finally had the chance to do so! They have an extensive menu. Their daily specials are posted just inside the entrance. For my first visit, I chose the mostaccioli and garlic bread. To drink, I ordered coffee and water. The coffee was strong and freshly made. The mostaccioli was cooked to perfection, and the garlic bread was quite tasty. Portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. I received excellent service and was acknowledged almost immediately after being seated. The diner's decor is a mix of oddities including parrots almost everywhere you look. Be aware this place is really busy. If the upper parking lot is full, they also have a lower lot for overflow. I'm looking forward to visiting Polly's Diner again for breakfast. read more

Super friendly and fast service, the food came out pretty quickly, I ordered their Reuben w/fries....yummmm! So good! Very excited to try this place as I'd heard great things. Place is cute and kitschy but food was underwhelming. I really wanted to like it but it was just average and I don't see myself going back. Our food took a while to arrive, I got one cup of coffee and no matter how hard I tried to flag someone down, I couldn't get someone to come over for a refill. We love a good diner and I had been wanting to try Polly's for a while now. The waitstaff were very friendly and kept a good eye on our coffee and water. I had the 1/2 order biscuits and gravy with two eggs and a side of sausage and hash browns . The sausage patties were weird. Good flavor , odd texture. Been there twice and had a great experience! First time was with my two kiddos. The second time was with just my husband. The portions are large and the food is very reasonably priced. They're always busy, which tells me they're no longer a secret to the community. This cozy diner is run by an amazing staff. Everyone is super friendly and they don't seem to have much turn over so I'm guessing ownership/management is doing a good job by their employees, which is refreshing these days. Personally, I'm a big fan of diners. Love them. This one in particular is fantastic. The prices are fair and the portion sizes are huge. You can easily get your fill for $10 or less, and you'll likely have to take some of it in a to-go box. It's a great value in my opinion. read more

This location has been several failed restaurants. So, I hope Polly's Diner makes it at this Old Towne Fenton location. They only serve breakfast and lunch. My husband and I went on a Saturday morning around 8:30 am and were seated when we walked in. However, on our way out there was a line of people waiting for a table. Still looks like the BBQ restaurant in the inside with same setup, booths and decor. Maybe a few added parrot themed decor. We had Kelsey as our waitress and she was excellent. She greeted us with a smile and answered all our questions we had about the menu. Food came out fast and hot. All the waitresses help each other at keeping the coffee and drinks filled. I ordered the Veggie Skillet with my eggs on the side (menu states they come on top). My husband ordered Polly's favorite with bacon and eggs. Food was good, but, not exceptional. My husband's pancakes came with drizzled Carmel sauce. He was hoping to get some flavored (like blueberry or blackberry) syrup. But, they only have maple syrup. Stopped in on a Thursday morning during an exceptionally rare opportunity to hit up a diner for breakfast during the work week. Ended up waiting a bit to be seated, but to that point they were pretty busy, and it appeared that there was only one person up front and one waitress working the floor. Looking over the menu, I was pleasantly surprised to not only see some breakfast favorites but some very enticing "lunch / dinner" items like burgers, sandwiches, chicken, steaks, and pasta dishes. We will definitely have to come back one day for lunch as well... Anyway, the food came out fast, incredibly fast, like 4-5 minutes from ordering and it was in front of us. Of course I know that breakfast diners usually have a pile of hashbrowns going all morning as well as sausage / bacon ready to come off at any time but this didn't taste like is was on the flat top for an hour staying warm, everything was as fresh as it was fast! Speaking of which the food was Excellent! I ordered a combo which came with sausage, French toast and 2 eggs plus I added on a side of hash browns. I'm pretty picky with sausage but im happy to say that these patties were fantastic. The eggs were cooked perfect over medium, and the hashbrowns were truly tremendous. Only disappointment was the French toast, but not because of the preparation, but rather the lack of good quality syrup. I know the real stuff is expensive, but it makes such a big difference that I can hardly stand the imitation stuff anymore. Bottom line... Stopped in Fenton on way home from St. Louis to Dixon to go to a chain restaurant but it was closed so saw this little cafe. A hidden gem. Checked yelp first. Best chicken strips ever.
