I had a really nice meal at Sunny Street last weekend! It was my first time visiting and I am so mad at myself for not going sooner. The group I went with called ahead and managed to reserve a few tables for the 15 of us who were dining together. It was a little (or a large) holiday brunch and while we could not all sit together, they still managed to get us a few tables near each other so that we could mingle as needed. Our server was Nikki and she was a delight! She managed our orders and kept up with the food and drinks like a champ! Taking orders for a large group is never easy, especially when people keep moving around and new people join, but Nikki did it with ease. When I arrived, she offered me some coffee and made sure to keep it filled throughout the morning. She provided creamer options and made sure I was good with water since that's all I asked for. When it was time to order, she made her way around the table and made sure to write orders down and she confirmed with each of us before submitting the ticket to the kitchen. When the food came out, everything looked so good and the plates were filled with delicious food. I was so happy for my cheese grits and the traditional buttermilk pancakes. My meal was the one that came with eggs and chicken sausage and then I chose grits as my side and this meal came with pancakes. I didn't realize it would come with so many of them, but I was thrilled to see the stack! The food was really good and the pancakes were fluffy and so tasty. I would def get them again. Nikke was able to separate our checks and again, I applaud her ability to keep things straight since there were lots of us and so many food/drink options to organize, but she did a great job! We all paid our tabs and were on our way after only being in there for an hour and twenty minutes. It was a well serviced brunch and we were all very happy and full when we left. I will be back again soon!

Stopped for breakfast at 1:30; I had the Big Bite Breakfast, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, grits and a delicious Bloody Mary!! Coffee was nice and strong. Hubby ordered the big breakfast with eggs over easy, hashbrowns, sausage, and pancakes. Everything was cooked to order and superb!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very friendly staff , very clean facility, including the restrooms.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A definite return is in the future!!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a Saturday morning at 9:00 am so it was very crowded but looked clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our waitress was good but she was slammed, having 5 tables that were hers. We enjoyed the Senior breakfasts, we got the #1. I wish the servings were a little bigger but they were tasty! The pancake & fresh fruit were scrumptious! Definitely will be back again soon.

This was the cutest little brunch place! My friends and I loved it. Even tho it was busy the servers did great! Our food came out pretty fast and was delicious!

    The big breakfast...with some errors.

I have not been to Sunny Street for several months, but had never had a negative experience here before. Today we waited a long time to be served, when finally served, the order was not correct. Cheese was offered, refused, and found on the eggs anyway, the lightly scrambled eggs were fully cooked... And finally there was a hair in the food (noticed on the way out there was a cook with longer hair and no one was wearing hair nets in the kitchen). Some of the homemade chips were crisp and crunchy, others were undercooked and chewy. The place was busy as always, the server was very friendly, the eggs were replaced, but we had to ask for the cheese up charge to be removed at the cash register. I may return, but it will be another several months.

Good but a little pricey. I do like supporting local businesses though rather than chains so will continue to visit.

What really stood out to me was the service we received! I really appreciated not being rushed through our meal. The fact that they actually let you order your courses separately so they're not coming out on top of each other was refreshing. And even though it was a Friday night and there were others waiting to get in we weren't rushed to pay our bill but instead invited to take our time. We hadn't seen or heard much about their pizzas, but we were in the mood for one and decided to order the meat pizza. It was made in a brick oven and it was really tasty. Honestly there were so many toppings that we ended up asking for an extra cup of the marinara sauce to dip it in. The sauce is made in house, it was delicious and the waitress said it's the same one that's used with the spaghetti and meatballs. In regard to the pizza size even though they're considered personal pizzas it was definitely bigger than we were anticipating. I would say they're close to 11 to 12 inches in diameter. My husband and I each enjoyed two pieces with our salad and took the other half home with us. They are definitely big enough to share, especially if you're ordering an appetizer or a salad to go with it. Our group very much enjoyed the artichoke spinach dip. It came with bread that had been cooked in their brick oven and I love that the spinach was in bigger pieces. My husband, and I also shared the harvest salad which had butternut squash on it, candied pecans & goat cheese. It was really yummy. Others in our group enjoyed the salmon and the crispy chicken sandwich. I had recently seen on a local Jefferson County page that many people consider Twisted Tavern the best place for a good piece of cake specifically, their wedding cake . Truth is that was the primary reason why I suggested this restaurant to meet our friends at but sadly by the time we finished our meal and were ready to order dessert they had already sold out. We were told this does not usually happen. Overall, we found tasty fresh food made in house, great service and fair prices. I am already planning another visit to the Twisted Tavern (so I can try their wedding cake! ).

All restaurants have bad days and that must be taken into account. Now, for a GOOD review: The service is great! Our hostess, Taylor, was very pleasant and sat us right away in a good spot. She made sure that our server was with us almost immediately. Thanks, Taylor! Our server, Coleen, was very nice and informative. She checked with us just often enough to be attentive and genuinely concerned about our food and our enjoyment of it. Thanks, Colleen! My wife ordered the Windsor French Toast, which had fresh strawberries and blueberries with a sweet and yummy cheese spread on top. The perfect brunch dish! I got the fried Catfish and Fries - I'm from the South ( the Carolinas ) and we sometimes have catfish for breakfast, so this was my brunch item. The catfish was AWESOME! Very mild and tasty breading. I'm not usually a big fan of Tartar Sauce, but once I tried it, I had to put a little on every bite. The fries were some of the best I have ever had! Crispy coated and tasted like they were deep fried in butter!! Ask your server how they do this ;) - The ambiance is fantastic! A bit close quartered in some spots, but there is a lot of alternative seating, so you can be comfortable. The outdoor seating is really nice. I love this place. I highly recommend it. I want to give Taylor and Colleen my personal SIX Stars ****** for making our visit amazing. And special kudos to the kitchen staff for making such great food! Please do yourself a favor and EAT HERE!!!
