Stopped for breakfast at 1:30; I had the Big Bite Breakfast, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, grits and a delicious Bloody Mary!! Coffee was nice and strong. Hubby ordered the big breakfast with eggs over easy, hashbrowns, sausage, and pancakes. Everything was cooked to order and superb!! Very friendly staff , very clean facility, including the restrooms. A definite return is in the future!!

It was a Saturday morning at 9:00 am so it was very crowded but looked clean. Our waitress was good but she was slammed, having 5 tables that were hers. We enjoyed the Senior breakfasts, we got the #1. I wish the servings were a little bigger but they were tasty! The pancake & fresh fruit were scrumptious! Definitely will be back again soon.

This was the cutest little brunch place! My friends and I loved it. Even tho it was busy the servers did great! Our food came out pretty fast and was delicious!

I have not been to Sunny Street for several months, but had never had a negative experience here before. Today we waited a long time to be served, when finally served, the order was not correct. Cheese was offered, refused, and found on the eggs anyway, the lightly scrambled eggs were fully cooked... And finally there was a hair in the food (noticed on the way out there was a cook with longer hair and no one was wearing hair nets in the kitchen). Some of the homemade chips were crisp and crunchy, others were undercooked and chewy. The place was busy as always, the server was very friendly, the eggs were replaced, but we had to ask for the cheese up charge to be removed at the cash register. I may return, but it will be another several months.

First thing to note is how amazing the manager is here. Constantly checking up on all the tables and cleaning them if need be, as well as taking out most if not all of the orders. I've never seen a restaurant managed so greatly! Food is always amazing here:) I totally would recommend stopping and eating brunch here.

Great service. Delicious food. Food came out hog and quick. I love that they have so many healthy options to chose from.

Always a good place for a good breakfast and friendly staff. Food is hot and fresh and made to order. They even give you coffee to go.

Good but a little pricey. I do like supporting local businesses though rather than chains so will continue to visit.

But other than that that's the only complaint that I have. Friendly staff, amazing food and drink. I love the lotus crepe as well as the barbecue chicken, I have to admit I could eat one of those about every single day of my life. I loved the banana bread espresso. There's four shots in it so just FYI. Maybe don't drink it after 5:00 p.m. like I did but it was still worth it. The ambiance of this place is absolutely adorable with a rich emerald colored green chair and couch with nice cognac colored armchairs, and a nice fireplace at the head of the cafe gives a cozy and warm ambiance as well as the beautiful Christmas decorations that they had while I was there made it a place that a lot of people wanted to hang out. There were at least six other tables with friends and family just chatting which honestly led to a really nice sense of community which a lot of places in America don't have. And I found this place to be absolutely lovely and worth every penny. A true gem to Oakville!

When I dug through the chili to find the burger I found one that was paper thin with the texture of a piece of soggy cardboard. I don't know if there was any fries under all that chili. It tasted terrible, there was no cheese anywhere. The restaurant looked as if it hadn't been cleaned for weeks. The waitress/ cashier was rude and obnoxious. Despite living in STL for over 30 years and having visited Kimswick many times for their various "festivals", we'd never eaten at the Blue Owl, since the place is usually packed. This morning was no different, but to our great surprise, they got us a table for 2 right away. We were seated just after 11 am, which was unfortunately too late for their breakfast menu, so lunch it was! We started with 2 cups of freshly brewed coffee . My lunch selection was a slice of their homemade chicken pot pie, freshly made crust and large bites of chicken inside, topped with a cheese covered crust. It was fresh & delicious! For a side I had a large serving of curly fries, doubt they were made in house, but they were good! My wife eats largely plant based, and ordered a quiche... she may not have read the description of it closely, but as she took her first bite, she discovered it had bacon on it. Rather than send it back, she chose to eat around the bacon. I took a couple of bites and thought it was pretty tasty as well. She had a fresh fruit cup as her side, and it was just that: fresh fruit. The Blue Owl is known for their fresh bakery and after perusing their cake/pie menu, we decided on a lightly frosted carrot cake, but at a $52 price point, we thought it was pretty pricey and instead opted for 2 take-home slices ($7 each slice) to savor later today. Maybe it's holiday pricing, or maybe carrots have been subjected to the tariffs, but $52 for a store bought ( no matter how fresh) cake seemed a bit high. All in all, a delightful experience. The food was delicious and our server was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend The Blue Owl Restaurant & Bakery in Kimswick, MO!
