The sandwich was delicious and I am obsessed with Union loafers so it was 98% worth missing part of a meeting to have a nice lunch. Hidden gem, maybe...give them more business so maybe they can lower the sammich price to ~$10-11.

Enter Pine Mountain Country Coffee on Festus Main Street. This is a mini Cracker Barrel. If you look around, it will resemble Cracker Barrel. They have all the candies and the sweets and the baked items. It's adorable inside. Their coffee is strong, it's great, and you should be supporting Local businesses like this. The service is genuine and way faster than the chains. Do not make me go protest in the Starbucks and Dunkin' Donuts parking lots. Don't do that to me.

Weekend hours are longer over the summer and early fall staying open until 10pm but as they hit October the hours shift to close by 9 o'clock on the weekends. They have cute ice cream cone seating tables as well as an old time soda bar. Definitely our families go-to ice cream splurge. Was happy to see that it wasn't crowded as I sometimes get anxious in a crowded place especially when the space is small. I was greeted once I went up to the counter. Not soon after I get up to the counter more people started to come in so I felt rushed and since it was my first time I wasn't expecting to be so many options that I panicked and just ordered the first thing I saw on the menu. Think it was a dolche latte maybe. Got it hot in a 12oz with almond milk and quickly checked out as others were behind me. I st down in one of the chairs by the door since I had an hour to kill and wanted to wait till I got the chance to go back and look at the rest of the menu. Little did I know that the place would just get busier and my time was up and had to leave. I did enjoyed my short time there while sipping on my late and watching my Kdrama and my late was really delicious.
