I was staying at a motel with a complimentary breakfast, located on the same lot as a Denny's. It's not that the breakfast wasn't any good; we got in late and slept past the complimentary breakfast. I ordered Moons over My Hammie. My wife, the beloved Mrs. K, started to laugh at me and then proceeded to call her sister. When I go to Denny's, I subconsiously order the same breakfast every time. I had no idea I did that. Well, a great round of laughter was had by my wife and her sister. Me? Do I really order the same thing? Proof is in the laughter. Came with a party of 6 in the evening. Not too little, not too big either. The restaurant wasn't packed, but we could see the staff seemed busy. Someone seated us, and then they were gone for 15-20 minutes. Came back, asked what drinks we would like, took our drink orders, left. For another 15-20 minutes. Now we were all just spending time together conversating and hanging out while this was happening, so we weren't waiting on the dot for them to come serve us; besides I am understanding. It took 45 minutes to get our drinks. The server left, said she was going to come back to take our order, and never did. It took over an hour, and nobody took our order. By that time we were so hungry, we couldn't wait anymore. We did inform them before leaving so we could at least pay for our drinks, but that was ridiculous, beyond ridiculous at that point. read more

We recently dined here and had mixed feelings. Our server Lillian, was wonderful--friendly, attentive, and quick to respond whenever we needed anything, which made the experience feel welcoming from the start. Unfortunately, the food was a letdown. Every dish we ordered was overly greasy, so it was hard to eat. One item was so heavy with oil that we couldn't get past a few bites. While we appreciated the excellent service, the food quality overshadowed the experience. It was disappointing to leave still hungry because we couldn't eat what we were served. It's Christmas Day, I dont have anywhere to go, it's freezing cold outside, so I decided to go get coffee and breakfast, everything online said they were open, I walked 3 miles. When i got there, I was met by an young girl who very really informed me that they were only doing carry out in online orders. I said okay I can't eat here can I make a carryout order? She told me I have to place an online order. Mine you, there are about 10 tables eating food, and the kitchen is clearly making orders. I tried to order online, it said unavailable until midnight you have to go into the store . I just wanted to get some coffee and stay warm. While I was outside several cars preceded to pull up and then they got out they were told it was online and Carry out only. The food here is excellent, from the chicken fingers, to the nachos, to the grilled chicken salad and pancakes. My server Brandy, is also excellent, she's nice , personable, and has my food out quickly. There honestly aren't many servers at any restaurant quite like her. I love this place, especially at night where I can just relax, eat and listen to a podcast. O and the tables are always clean and they let me sit where I want to. The cook Tony is also an excellent one. This is by far the best Denny's I've ever been to. read more

following a yearly tradition from my passing Brother, we went to the H9 hunted house and decided to go to Denny's afterwards service was not up to standard, we waited more than 20 minutes to be seated. Also waited more than 40 minutes to be told our food still was not being ready that curbside it to go orders was priority at the time. After waiting 20 more minutes, we decided that they wouldn't want to serve us . Everyone else was being served but us now everyone else was white and were the only black family there. Thinking I would try something I'd never had before, I ordered the brisket sandwich. Overpriced to begin with, the brisket was over cooked and flavorless. The bread has so much butter on it, I could have squeezed out a couple of teaspoons worth. To top it all off, I saw the server when she took my order and when she brought it to the table. Never coming back to even ask how the food was or offer me a refill on my drink. If she would have come back, she would have seen I needed a refill and if she paid any attention and was good at her job would have asked if the food was okay...because I just left it setting on the plate. I choked down half of the sandwich because I wanted to get something for my money. This is the second time I have come to this location, fool me once shame on me. First thing I want to say is that the food was absolutely delicious!! We came to celebrate veteran's with a free brunch here at Danny's. They gave out free build your own grand slam's to veterans and we both smashed ours. I was actually impressed that the food did taste this good. Secondly, I realize that they had a lot of veterans coming in to get their free meal, so we didn't mind the hour wait, but I just wish our waitress wasn't so horrible. I only took off 1 star because I figure everyone has their bad day's. She forgot about us multiple times so we didn't get our drinks until after the meal and never brought napkins or more syrup. Many of the staff at this location need training. The time waiting to be seated is too long when customers can clearly see clean tables available. If I order a "slam" meal, I cannot change scrambled eggs to a different style (over easy). The waitress hands plates to one person and the customers have to pass them instead of the waitress simply walking around the table. Part of my order included pancakes that were delivered colder than room temperature. The waitresses take smoke breaks next to the door customers enter through. The main entrance door has been broken for a very long time. I had to secure it so that it would not blow open and hit other customers. This place should be shut down. The owner does not seem to care. read more

Even though this isn't our neighborhood Denney's, this is our breakfast go-to spot. All of the servers are very good-friendly and efficient. The food is always hot and fresh, no matter what time of day we dine there. Be sure and check this location out on a holiday. Don't bother if your on a Carb Free ketogenic diet!!! They won't work with you at all on omiting simple carbs like rice, hashbrowns, toast, pancakes and if you get a salad they will add extra croutons to the bowl! Plus waitress brought out the salad that was inplace of a real meal before the other 4 guest received their food! So far I don't care if my food is good or bad. Worst place. 1. Waitress came to table once to check on us. Then went outside mail told times to smoke, and get hair braided. Like what?!??? 2. Order a simple burger. Worst service ever. We came in an hour and a half before they closed. 4 tables in the building, 2 servers. First server started yelling as soon as we walked in about having to take another table. We' were not seated or greeted for another 10 min. Drinks were brought and then nothing after that. We watched the servers yell at each other back and forth about how they were short staffed. Horrible at least around midnight. Waited like an hour for our food. People walked out because the wait was so long. After waiting for so long I got my avocado burger with out avocado. Server went back and the cook said there was no avocado. Why would they sell me that burger then in the first place. The burger was so greasy when I picked it up, it just would not stop dripping. My mother and I were crazy pancakes and we had a ton of errands to run. So she decided on dennys. I think the best part about this dennys is that it's on drury lane... get it? I totally should have just gotten a muffin so I could say I got a muffin from drury lane. Anyway, the place was pretty bad. Cleanliness wise I would give it a two. The bathroom smelled like urine had been sitting on the walls every day. There was stuff all over. It was gross. The hostess was nice enough but our waitress was on her phone and complaining while cleaning, about having to come into work and clean up someone else's mess. Yes, you're sweeping, it sucks, but it's kind of what you get paid for. Drives me crazy when people complain about their jobs, be thankful you have one, and be proud of it. Sorry, off track. I went here for breakfast recently, and both my friend and I ordered over-medium eggs...when they came out the whites weren't done. I informed our server and the cook re-fired 4 eggs. When they came out, 2 were over-hard and 2 were made correctly. At this point I was pretty annoyed and I told our server "Just forget it, we have to be somewhere." And I maintained a relatively snotty attitude as I dug into my eggs like they themselves had wronged me. Shorty after, our server returned and told me that they meal was free and apologized for our trouble. Needless to say I was pretty embarrassed about acting like a jerk, and apologized myself. We have visited many Denny's in our travels all over the country and this location is by far the most well run. The servers treat us like family, stopping by to say hello even though they may not be waiting on us. Debbie, the manager, will often come by and sit down with us to chat and wish us well. Even the bus staff stops by to say hello. The food is always served hot and as ordered. Rest rooms and the restaurant in general is always clean and decorated for the particular season. The menu changes at regular intervals offering a variety of choices as well as the standard fare. Denny's also offers an AARP discount which we use when we do not have any coupons. read more
