On Saturday we tried at Sunrise for the first time. The food we had was delicious!! Our waitress was very good at recommending dishes. My husband is glad she recommended the pineapple upside down pancakes!! They were amazing!! The biscuits and gravy were also wonderful, could have used a bit more spice to them, but great nonetheless. I wanted hot chocolate but they were out at 10 am. Not sure how that happens. We'll be back to try something else that's for sure. We were hoping they had booths, but they didn't. The chairs could use some cushions. All in all it was a good experience. A cute touch was hand sanitizer on the table.

The reason behind my rating mainly revolves around the price. While it was decent and tasted good, it was not worth the tag. It was $50 for me and my boyfriend to eat there. I would much rather go somewhere like a Waffle House or McDonald's for breakfast. This place wasn't $50 good lol. Also, the bacon was super chewy and hard to swallow. Not a dealbreaker but just felt I should add it. The waiter who served us was nice but it took us a while to get our food when we were the only party in the restaurant. Overall, if you can come here once it's nice to try it but I don't think I'll come again.

I've been trying to make it down to this little breakfast spot when visiting STL for months. Finally got the time to head over... Food was A-MAZING! Best catfish & cheesy grits!!! OMG! (And I am picky about both.) Fried Green Tomatoes were ON POINT! Our server, Ashley, was attentive, friendly, and fast. Will definitely be back whenever I'm in town!

We have driven past this restaurant many times, but this morning was our first visit there for a brunch. The restaurant itself was clean and we were greeted politely upon entering before choosing our seat. Being a place which particularly specializes in morning foods, I was disappointed to see a classic Eggs Benedict missing from the menu; though to my surprise the owner of the establishment made an appearance (Ms Secil) and advised this would be an option moving forward. Ms. Secil engaged us in conversation and regaled us with her far ranging accomplishments of many sorts- she is very clearly a possessor of an entrepreneurial spirit. We were told all of their food is prepared fresh from scratch, including their fresh biscuits, and I did find the taste to be very good. The kids portions of the pancake breakfast was generous and served with fresh squeezed OJ, though the French toast in comparison was on the lighter side. We'd go with pancakes all around for the kids in the future. The decor of the place is sunny and upbeat, I'm told the women's bathroom was especially well equipped and particularly so for kids access. The service was exceptional, with Ashley being a wonderful and attentive ambassador for the business. The cost for us to have a filling breakfast at Bob Evans is usually $60-$70 out the door, though here was close about $100.00. While it was on the pricier side, it's not a corporate place and the experience was definitely more personalized. We liked "At Sunrise," and will likely go again as finances allow.

The fried green tomatoes were perfect appetizer, so good we did not get picture before we finished them! Catfish and grits were amazing! Service was great and atmosphere was great as well.

What a great breakfast burger this was! And the home fries were delicious!

I'm almost stubbornly picky when it comes to burgers. I call myself a burger connoisseur not as a…read morejoke but as a lifestyle, because I've tasted enough of them to know when a place gets it right. Tidy Jon's absolutely gets it right. This spot is tucked away so quietly that you could drive past it a dozen times without realizing you've just missed one of the best burgers in the area. It has that "if you know, you know" energy, and now that I've tried it, I'm determined to bring more eyes and more love to it. The burger itself is everything a great burger should be: juicy without being messy, seasoned perfectly, and cooked with the kind of confidence that comes from truly knowing your craft. The bun holds up beautifully and the toppings are balanced--not doing too much, not doing too little. Every bite feels intentional, satisfying, and almost nostalgic, like someone finally made the burger you always wished every other place could match. And then there was the surprise: the homemade onion soup. I only noticed it because it was advertised right on the door as I walked in, and I'm so glad I did. It tasted like something made in a real kitchen by someone who cares. Deep flavor, slow-cooked richness, and that savory warmth that makes you feel like you found the right place on the right day. It's rare for a burger spot to also nail a classic soup, but they did. Tidy Jon's is the kind of hidden treasure people talk about in foodie groups the kind that eventually becomes legendary once enough folks discover it. Friendly atmosphere, memorable food, and a menu that shows real care. I'm already planning my next visit, and if you consider yourself a burger lover in any capacity, you should too.

When you enter a worker will ask you, "BBQ, Coffee or Ice Cream?" Once you share what you're there…read morefor, they direct you to that counter and take your order. The BBQ counter is near the entrance and kitchen. The BBQ menu is in a acrylic on the counter and also on a wipe board hanging on the wall. When I visit a new BBQ place, I always try their ribs and brisket. Here, I ordered the ribs ala carte and the brisket in a meal. The meal came with only one side and it's a half pound serving. That's a big helping of a side dish. I wish they offered two smaller portions as the side, like most BBQ joints do. I asked the young girl working which sides were made in house and it took her by surprise. I then asked if some of the sides came from a food vendor. Then she stammered the answer, "I've heard him say, that he makes them all." I ended up ordering the Smoked Beans. I'm picky about my beans and these lacked seasoning and were bland. The brisket was cut thick and was on the chewy side. I prefer my brisket cut thinner and much more tender. My order of ribs, shocked me. They were the first ribs that I ever had that did not have the membrane on the back of the ribs removed. The ribs did have good seasoning, since the membrane was not removed, they were tough. They had a 2" thick pork steak on the menu. I guess I'll have to come back and give that a try with a different side. If the pork steak disappoints me, I wont be back. The staff were friendly, but not overly friendly. Also, I don't think the cashier was knowledgeable about the product she was selling.
