This round of flights was tasty with my favorite being the Lucky Charms which tasted like they infused cereal milk into the drink and the Clover with white chocolate, peppermint and vanilla with that striking green hue. Both were fantastic, but the gooey butter cake completely stole the show. Hands-down, it was the absolute best gooey butter cake I have ever had--and I've tried many from plenty of bakers over the years. This single slice may have changed my outlook on life. They've set the bar so high that I honestly don't know how anyone else could top it. Warmed up just as the owner suggested, it was melt-in-your-mouth perfection with a tender, flaky crust and incredible flavor. Absolutely phenomenal. Parking was abundant and right in front of the building. We stayed over Thanksgiving weekend, so it was beautifully decorated for the holidays (pictured). The furniture and other decor is a nice blend of modern and classic, with a lot of gray and white. Our room opened up to a balcony, which overlooked the small lake - a lovely view. This is a very quiet, relaxing spot about 15 minutes away from Wildwood. It's in the same neighborhood as St. Albans Country Club. Whether you're visiting family for the holidays or are looking for a secluded weekend getaway, I would highly recommend staying at the Inns at St. Albans's "The Lodge"!
