Allin's Diner is a local diner filled with great food and lovely staff. When coming here, there is a parking lot, but it is a smaller lot. I have never had an issue parking here, though. Walking in, it is nothing fancy, just a stereotypical small diner setup. One of my favorite things here are the facts listed on the napkin holders--such a lovely touch! All of the staff were friendly and service was excellent. I ordered the Breakfast Quesadilla with regular sausage (it came with salsa and sour cream on the side) and a half order of the Cranberry Bread French Toast. It was so good! I love the quesadilla here. It was hot coming out of kitchen, flavorful, and so delicious! The french toast was also so good, the cranberries were juicy, and the small bits of walnut gave a balanced flavor with a slight crunch. It is a smaller place, so seating can be limited. You can also hear the kitchen staff in the back cooking and preparing orders. I didn't mind this, I thought it actually helped contribute to the diner ambiance. Allin's has become my go to breakfast joint whenever I find myself in St. Charles. I've been five times now, all on weekdays so I don't know what the weekend crowd is like. The diner is relatively small, but I've never had to wait for a table and there are some seats at the counter to be had as well. My service is always fantastic. I believe the young lady who normally waits on me is named Casey. She's a sweetheart and is everything you want in a diner waitress. I've never had to ask for more of anything as she's always on top of it. I've only eaten breakfast food and it's excellent. Pancakes are solid and the eggs are always cooked correctly. We were very hungry after an early hockey game at Centene Ice Center at Maryland Heights. And I've always drove past Allin's so it's time to try it today and we were not disappointed.. it's a small diner and the ambiance is great! Haven't been here for several years. A nice old school diner. We came for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Thankfully no wait to be seated. It filled up fast after we arrived. I ordered the Slinger with eggs over easy. My wife ordered the Big Breakfast, lightly scrambled eggs and link sausage. Decent coffee arrived promptly. The food also came out quickly and piping hot. The Slinger was great crisp hash browns should ft egg yolk and lots of chili. The burger patty was a little dry though. The Big Breakfast was another matter. Ordered the eggs lightly scrambled. Super small diner that is tucked away in St Charles - parking is scant, but it's so worth it! Such great food, reasonable prices, my coffee was always being filled up and the staff was super attentive. Look at the Mickey Mouse pancake they have for kids - my son loved it! Doesn't look like much when you pass by but this is a classic when in Saint Charles. Some great diner food. They serve breakfast and lunch all day long. Service is great. It is a good cup of coffee. I have dined here before and the food was pretty good. My huge mistake was ordering the Mexican omlet. It was sooo greasy that it took 6 napkins to mop up most of the grease and it still leaked out more grease every time I cut in to take a bite. I would NEVER get that again. The waitress saw the greasy napkins when she picked up my plate and said yes the chorizo is greasy but deliscious. Nope it was fair and so off-putting. How have I not written about Allin's Diner! I adore this tiny, little, cramped diner. It is small. It is tiny. It is wonderful. I am not a breakfast person. I would prefer to skip straight to lunch. Allin's even wins me over on breakfast. The breakfast quesadilla is so good...and so huge (share it). Cranberry French Toast will have you returning for another visit. Crispy Bacon, Rye Toast, Pancakes...enough said. Now let me discuss lunch. The people at Allin's make Homemade Soup. This soup sells out fast. There is a reason- it is amazing. Amazing. Allin's has started posting their soup options on their Facebook Wall daily. They even have Soup Making Classes with the owner. How cool is that! Love this little diner! Been here a couple of times and the food is always good. I got the cheeseburger, along with a bowl of chili, and it was all delish. They have a lot of soups and I am hoping one day they have beer cheese soup on the board! My wife had the chicken fried steak breakfast special. SHE ATE IT ALL! She never finishes a meal. We've been going to Allin's for years but they seem to have been on a steady decline...smaller portions, skimpy ingredients. We got takeout a couple of days ago. I ordered their corned beef hash (which I've had from there multiple times) and it had 4 tiny pieces of pastrami in it and no onions. Literally 4 tiny pieces. It was basically hash browns. We also ordered french toast and pancakes and all of it was overcooked. Not burned, but close. We love supporting small, local businesses but come on Allin's, step it up. read more

Pure, delicious diner food! Had lunch here while on a work trip. Patty melt with fries was delicious! The grilled rye bread was done to perfection and the meat patty was a high quality meat-lean and not fatty at all. Love the mom and pop diner ambience. My co worker had a ham and cheese omelet with home fries and he loved it. It was so yummy we returned the next day for lunch and ordered the same meals!
