Craving a Belgian waffle and honestly my husband and I could've split because it was so huge neither of us could finish! Of course I took it to go even though it was dolloped with whipped cream and drenched in syrup (I love my air fryer ) Went on a Sunday morning and we got there around 9:30a and it was about 75% full to capacity. Groups were coming in the same time as us but we were all seated pretty quickly. "Homestyle is our middle name" is on their signage and shirts so if you're looking for fast food this is not the place. It's not too long of a wait though either. I ordered the pecan waffle. Regular waffle with chopped pecans on top. I love Belgian waffles so it wasn't my absolute favorite but it was good. We'll need to go again so we can try other options! read more

I pretty much have to give five stars simply by virtue of this place being open 24 hours. The only other place you can go for 24 hour dining is waffle house, and you won't always necessarily want to eat waffles at 2 am. Gingham's offers breakfast too, but also pretty much everything else, as they have a pretty extensive lunch/dinner menu. I actually kind of think they should consider reducing the size of their menu. It's not possible that every single one of these dishes is good; it would be a smart move to decrease the scale a little bit in order to increase the quality. no way line cooks can execute everything on the menu perfectly that said, i was pretty happy with my experience here. i got the salmon, which came with a biscuit, and the sides i got were corn, carrots, fried okra. my main issue with my food was that the carrots were sweet, which i wasn't a fan of, but everything else was great, including the salmon the price is okay. to be honest it's a good deal for a 24 hour restaurant. you have to pay higher prices at a 24 hour restaurant because they have more overhead from running electricity, insurance, labor, compared to other restaurants, by basically double. with that in mind i thought it was reasonable would come back read more

Stopped in for Saturday lunch with the family. The restaurant was hopping but the overall wait wasn't terrible. Our server was great - friendly and attentive. Today was a great day and it all started at Gingham's. We were quickly, seated by a warm and friendly hostess and only mere moments later, our waitress was taking our orders. The ambiance feels warm and there are tinted windows to help shield you from too much vitamin D. Then there's the food which is absolutely, delicious. My wife had the pot roast, (which she loved) my daughter had the chicken fingers, and I had the BLT which was one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. Gingham's Homestyle restaurant is a restaurant that I will always make it my business to eat at, I always order something different each time I go and I am never disappointed. This trip I ordered chicken and waffles and there is a option to get chicken tenders, whole wings or chicken wingettes, I ordered the tenders which came with 4 big tenders, I ate one tender and half of waffle and was full off of that, I did order as an appetizer fried BBQ chicken wings that were very delicious. This is a 24 establishment, I went at about 10pm thinking it would be not such a busy crowd and was wrong. There was a prom crowd, however I was seated in less than 30 minutes and my food was served about 30 minutes after I ordered. read more

First time at Ginghams and I was impressed. We had a very large party and was seated with ease. Our waiter Michael was great. Mangers came over and thanked us for coming in. We went on a Sunday morning and used the online waitlist feature. It worked extremely well and it was powered through Yelp! It showed approximate time and number of people ahead of us. So, instead of waiting about 30 minutes when we got there (if we had not used it) we only had to wait about 5 minutes once we arrived since most of our wait time was our drive time to get there! We were greeted and drink orders taken right away which was perfect! They were very busy, but the restaurant is very well spread out and the decor looks great. They have everything worked out like a well oiled machine. Our food, once ordered, came out in about 15 mins and was hot/fresh looking. The food tasted great! Pancakes were light/fluffy and so good! Familiar with the restaurant name from the old Manchester location but this one is fantastic. Lots to offer and every bite was good. Their appetizer platter is choose 5... FIVE things for $17.99. That's a great price and offer. Went here again about two weeks later for the appetizer platter but we also ordered the open face roast beef with mashed potatoes. So good. Service was quick and pleasant. The store was clean and lots of fresh pies were being brought from the back for the display case. read more

Gingham's is staple for our local dining choices. We enjoy breakfast most of the time but occasionally go for dinner. It is the type of place we like to frequent, clean and quick service. I do have a complaint about our recent experience was disappointing we all ordered the cod special. The fish appeared to be smaller breaded pieces all balled together and deep fried. You could easily see the fried breading mixed in throughout, definitely not a solid fish filet. We also questioned the fish texture, it wasn't flaky like cod rather softer fish protein like tilapia. I expect this was a one-off thing but I hope they know and address it going forward. Our server was prompt, courteous and pleasant. read more

I've only been here for breakfast so far. It's always busy. Usually if I drive to a place to eat and the cars are sparse, I use that as a sign to keep driving. This place is run very efficiently. Service is fast and you can't be a lazy employee here because they work their butts off. It has the feel of a small hometown restaurant even though it's a large facility. The service was good, -ordered 2eggs over easy and 4 pieces of bacon well done with toast. the bacon was well done but cold, like it was made earlier and the eggs were not even warm. One of our first restaurants to try when we moved to Saint Charles, this restaurant has remained a staple over the years, always providing good food and service. The new restaurant has ample parking and waiting area, a big improvement! The menu is loaded with staples, but they have a few specialties that we love: the Guild-Free Omelette is one of my husband's favorite dishes while I adore the stuffed pepper soup. Really crowded even on a Thursday night and we were in a rush so we sat at the bar. I hadn't a chef salad with their house dressing and it was fine. Wait staff was friendly but also kind of harried since it was so busy. My salad was just ok. The croutons were the highlight. It came with rolls with honey butter which were also decent. We went last Saturday at around 4:30 p.m. for my husband's family's March birthdays celebration. There whew 10 of us. There was almost n9 wait and we were seated comfortably at a large table. The restaurant is clean and inviting. Our waitress was very good, kind, attentive. Drinks were refilled before you could ask. Everyone's order was accurate and everything came out at the same time. All were pleased with their selections and the whole event ran smoothly. Our only disappointment was to discover à "Convenience Fee" on each of our bills with no explanation. We divided the check between two parties, so maybe that was it, or perhaps the size of our group? It was less than $2 each, so not a huge problem, but the6 really should tell you which particular convenience you are paying for. Gingham was crowded and seems to be a very popular place to eat. The staff were super friendly but the food was just OK. It's comfort food, nothing bad but also nothing great, a lot like the frozen meals you'd get from the grocery store. But this makes it a great place to bring your family because they have a ton of options so everyone can find something that they'll be happy enough with and the prices are very family friendly. Easter breakfast at Ginghams! Easter deco and staff with ears made the atmosphere special and the kids seemed to like the "ears" some of the staff wore! Arrived and was able to be seated without a wait, which is highly unusual for breakfast dining. The room filled shortly with a line of waiting diners. We enjoyed our breakfast choices of The Classic, Southern Fried Chicken Biscuit Platter and a kids breakfast meal. The bacon is alway so tasty without being greasy with the Classic breakfast. Now for the Southern Fried Chicken Biscuit, this was enough for two! The chicken was huge and covered in their amazing gravy. Asked for the eggs to have cheese added and it was like a layer of cheese (awesome for the cheese lovers)! The kids meal came with a pancake and this pancake was light and fluffy. I came in today to get seated for food. We got here at 9:40, but their system was off and didn't show us checking till 945. They told us 30 minutes however we waited almost 30 minutes and they were still several names in front of us, and then at that time when we check to see how much longer they told us people on yelp could check in before us that we're having to wait longer, which none of this has mentioned to us When we checked in We explained that this was not communicated and should have been and the manager just smiled and essentially said oh wow terrible customer service. What a classic down home cooking establishment. This place is always crowded. I've been at noon and at midnight and the it's always hoppin'. They have the best vegetable beef soup. I'm very picky about my soups, but this one is a favorite of mine. Now, you do need to salt many items, but that's ok. I'd rather add salt than have it come out too salty. Their menu is extensive.
