I've walked past this place many times but finally decided to stop in. It was the best find ever! They have some of the best coffee and breakfast I've ever tasted. I personally got the breakfast burrito and it was sooo good and flavorful. I'm also a big fan of their breakfast potatoes. The coffee tasted really good and fresh. There was a little wait but they do have a waitlist once you are there. All of the food came out quickly. Overall its a cute little restaurant tucked in the streets of old St.Charles.
This time of year on Main Street in Dr. Charles is so festive. My cousin and I met at this establishment for brunch. They are in a new location and it's very beautiful. The charm of the historic building is well represented. It was busy and we did have to wait to place our order. I'll give them a pass this time since there was a 5K race ending and it's a popular time of year. Their breakfast potatoes were good, but were served a bit on the cool side. I also had the french onion soup. This was very delicious and I'm picky on any soup. I think it should be a food group. It's worth a try and I hope they bring back the chicken potpie soon. That is the meal that keeps me coming back.
It's a pretty space that would be perfect for meeting a friend, quiet on a weekday morning, good avocado toast, great coffee, friendly fast service.
My friend and I came here on a Saturday for some breakfast and coffee. I got a toffee nut latte and it was delicious! To eat I got the hot honey chicken biscuit. The chicken was really good with the honey and it had good flavor but the biscuit was a bit dry. I was a bit disappointed because it was just the chicken and biscuit, nothing else. I got the potatoes on the side with cheese, bacon, sour cream and onions. The potatoes were so good and I recommend getting them with all the things on them! I brought my 9 month old and the waitress offered me a high chair and I felt like there was plenty of room around the table for it without feeling crowded.
Cozy little breakfast and lunch joint. I had the omelette, my friend the tomato soup and grilled cheese. Soo good!
I didn't know about this restaurant, but was definitely impressed. An eclectic and tasty selection of breakfast and cafe items. Worth checking out!
Beautiful space, decorated well and a very friendly staff! We ordered a couple of breakfasts and my wife's poached eggs came out hardboiled. The serves were great and took care of it, including having one of the redone eggs have to be redone again! My wife was so embarrassed, but they insisted on redoing them u til they got them correct (cooked, but runny). They laughed and joked with us and made the entire experience great. Good was all tasty and a good value for the price and environment! Would love to come back and try more options and see the servers (Megan and Jen) again!
Cute little place, limited seating. We got there around 10am on a Sunday, were seated quickly. Good menu selection, ice latte was excellent. Breakfast sandwich was good, but needed a sauce or spread. Belgian waffle was excellent. Would definitely go again when we can sit outside on the patio.
This is THE BEST place for breakfast/brunch in St Charles. Come at me... Seriously though. The food here is wonderful. Full of creative, scratch made signature dishes, created with QUALITY ingredients and delivered to your table with great service. I can't get away from the bomb burrito. Eggs, cheese, chorizo, and beef short rib meat. Soooo good. Served with the house potatoes, which are very simple, but prepared to absolute perfection!!!!! Now they're frying them in beef tallow. Yes. There's only a couple of places in StC that care enough to do this. No crappy vegetable oils here!! It's a somewhat small space, and can get busy at peak times on Fri, Sat, Sun, so be aware of that. BUT ITS WORTH THE WAIT!!!! The coffee drinks are also on point lots of great options to add a latté or cappuccino to your meal. Great place, usually our first choice for breakfast or lunch in St.Charles.

After reading many positive reviews for this, charming gem, I had to check it out for myself, and boy! Let me tell you, every review was absolutely spot on! This place is charming, quaint, has an upscale ambience that makes your breakfast or lunch experience all the more enjoyable. The staff were very friendly, fast and efficient. The food was above excellent, cooked perfectly. This place earned 5 x 2 thumbs up-satisfaction guaranteed!
After a long walk at Frontier Park the next best thing is eating at this cafe. Upon walking in sultry , well lit and calming environment. Seated quickly at bar for my me date breakfast. Staff friendly. I ordered Coffee drip and Chicken and Waffles. Delicious. Slow service but well worth the wait. Coffee hot and steamy, chicken tender and seasoned well , waffles soft and moist and breakfast potatoes cooked thoroughly. Prices reasonable and menu options are plentiful. Great meal and kudos to the chef .

Absolutely loved our breakfast here! My husband and I sat on the patio overlooking the river, and the view alone made it worth the visit! So peaceful, beautiful, and the perfect start to our morning! What truly made the experience exceptional was our server, Jenn. She was incredible from start to finish!! She was warm, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful. She made great recommendations, checked on us at all the right times, and went above and beyond in ways you don't see often. My husband is picky about biscuits and gravy, and Jenn kindly brought him a sample of the gravy first to make sure he'd like it...such a small gesture to some people, but truly made it special for my husband. She even sent us off with coffee to go, which we really appreciated!! The food was just as impressive. I had the traditional breakfast. Everything was cooked perfectly, the potatoes were nice and crispy, Jenn recommended the ham, which was so flavorful and perfectly charred, so good!!! My husband ended up loving his biscuits and gravy! Between the amazing service, delicious food, and relaxing riverfront setting, this was easily one of our favorite breakfast experiences. Jenn truly made it memorable, and we'll definitely be asking for her every time we come back. Can't wait to return!! read more
What a charming cafe in the middle of a charming Downtown area! It was freezing the morning we went in, but I was wanting breakfast - specifically pancakes. I had this place in the bookmarks and figured now was the best time to visit. Parking can be an issues in Downtown St. Charles since it is limited to street parking or public parking a few blocks away. We found parking right in front of FPC, mainly because it was a cold, Monday morning. We were greeted immediately, and inside was much smaller than I expected. We got seated right away though, and a good chance to really review the menu. I got a house coffee (delicious), and my husband got a Purple Haze Lemonade. We ended up getting a kid's pancake with bacon and scrambled eggs, Short Rib Breakfast Stack, and a Bomb Burrito. The pancake for my 2 year old was MASSIVE so it was a good day for him lol. The short rib stack was yummy - hash browns with runny eggs and meat on top. The burrito was also pretty good. Our breakfast entrees came with a side order of potatoes and while it was good, it got saltier over time so I might not get that next time. They advertise beignets, so we might go for that next time and try out their lunch menu! read more
First visit, so extraordinary, can't wait to go back!! Beautiful coffee shop and restaurant, absolutely spotless with quiet calming decor. Very comfortable seating. Cloth napkins, something you don't see any more and greatly appreciated. Lots of choices on the menu, settled for the standard breakfast, the burrito breakfast, the pecan Belgian waffle, with a side of bacon and eggs. Drinks were iced green tea. Service was quick, efficient and friendly. Breakfast was great! Able to get sourdough toast with the standard breakfast as we needed one gluten-free option. Burrito was tasty with a little kick of spice. Pecan waffle was fabulous, chewy and moist not dry. We were checked on numerous times during our meal, which we appreciated. This place is wonderful, in a great spot on North Main. Can't wait to return. read more

Looking for a cozy, inviting venue? Head to Frontier Perk Cafe! Our visit was on a Sunday morning for a new venue for breakfast and it was perfect! This is located on Main Street in St Charles and is beautifully designed. Exposed brick to large booths and great wood flooring. We were greeted at the door and shown o a large booth in the back. The menus had a variety of signature items as well as traditional breakfast fare. My group enjoyed different items and they all arrived beautifully plated. From homemade quiche to a "stack" that looked to good to eat! Frontier Perk Cafe is open daily til 3pm and the menu looked to have great lunch options too. There was also a menus with "specials" and that looked seasonal so those items will change. I can't wait to visit again! Free street parking available as well as various free parking lots nearby. read more

This a small coffee shop with about 6 tables for seating, but they should be expanding soon. The food menu has a nice variety of breakfast and lunch. I ordered the chicken and waffles while my wife ordered a slice of quiche and a specialty latte. All the food was outstanding. My wife was very happy with her quiche! We ordered 2 cinnamon rolls to go, which they nicely brought out at the end of our meal. They even offered a coffee to go if we needed. Really appreciated the nice service at the end of our meal. read more
Delicious! Frontier Perk has the best lattes, sandwiches and potatoes. It is such a cute and quaint building. The service is always great. Very friendly staff. It's a smaller restaurant so it's never too noisy. Defintley they their iced carmel macchiato! read more

This place has turned me into a breakfast person! Frontiers service was prompt and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious! Tons of flavor packed into these dishes. Highly suggest the bomb burrito and Steak Benedict! I could also eat my weight in the home fries served on the side. read more
This place has been on my list to try for quite some time. They have a very quaint area of seating inside and outside. Please make sure to order your food first inside, then be seated. Their menu offers many different choices and will have something for everyone. I ordered the breakfast plate with eggs, toast, bacon and breakfast potatoes and was perfectly full by the time I left. You can tell there were a lot of regulars here as many people were coming in for a quick cup of coffee. The food was amazing. The area was perfect and the service was very friendly! read more

Parking on main street, the lots behind by the water or the dedicated lot upon entrance into the area. Cute little shop. There are about five tables inside and three outside. Service is excellent all around. You enter. Place your order. And then grab a table or you will get a number and the staff will let you know when a table is available. We only had to wait about 5 minutes around 11 on Saturday. Extensive breakfast and lunch menu. Everything was delish. Had the breakfast tacos. Lots of flavor. Slightly spicy. Not greasy at all. The breakfast potatoes were crispy and not dry. Pancake was ok. Iced Cafe latte with sugar free vanilla was good. They have lots of pastries, really wanted the apple pie, next time! read more
I was looking forward to this new location. The building is nice, but unfortunately the service was not yet up to par....waitresses seemed oblivious to service. We both had to ask for ice tea refills. When she brought mine back it was 1/2 full and warm with only a couple ice cubes. The original location was order at the counter... the new location is full service at the table...but they aren't necessarily providing that yet. One waitress stood the whole time looking out the window and ignoring the guests. I liked the smaller location better. Food was average, I was expecting a bit more. I'm hoping the service improves as I liked this place. read more

We came here on a Sunday afternoon, kid free brunch. The place is really small and quaint, so it is not good for groups at all. It's a coffee shop/restaurant and they have baked goods. Triple plus. It gives mom and pop shop for sure. Homey decor all along the walls. When we arrived, there was another patron in front of us about to order. A young lady kept walking up to the counter getting and moving tickets, but never acknowledged her. For like 3 minutes. To the point where the patron looked back at us like "does she not see me standing here?!" Finally, another young lady came up and says "someone will be right with you." A minute or two later, a gentleman comes up and takes her order. We place our order shortly after her with the same man. I order the chicken and waffles and my husband gets the short rib eggs Benedict and a coffee drink. And some carrot cake. That waffle was so fluffy and good. The chicken was fried to perfection. Both items were piping HOT when they arrived to me!! I don't eat eggs, but my husband's short ribs were delicious. His eggs were on top of two hash brown patties. The pickled red onions on top were the perfect addition to the dish. His homestyle potatoes were also good and flavorful. He loved his food. The carrot cake was extremely greasy and I didn't care for the flavor either. The young ladies helping to bring out food were not wearing any gloves or protective gear. Just moving from register to running plates. That wasn't a good look to me. read more

Stumbled upon this place while strolling Main Street looking for coffee. I originally went in for coffee but saw they had matcha on the menu. This nice young woman taking my order suggested a coconut matcha and then helped me pick out a treat for my boyfriend. I chose the pumpkin bar I cannot stop thinking about the matcha and I need to go back asap to get another one! read more
