The cookies are great but the ice cream horrible. On a scale 1 to 10, I give the pint of chocolate chip cookie dough a -9. The only thing good about it is that it was cold. It had somewhat of an ammonia taste, even the cookie dough bits!! I believe it's made with really cheap ingredients. The cashier was nice and the store was clean. read more

Stopped in for a cookie after dinner on Beale St. We got the gooey butter cake cookie and it was good. It could have been warmer...they weren't super fresh out of the oven and I could tell they had been sitting. Fine for a sweet snack after dinner but nothing amazing. I stopped into Hot Box Cookies for 2 cookies on my way to the movies. The first one was a chocolate chip. It came out of a warming cabinet behind the register. It was a good cookie. Took the opportunity to visit Hotbox cookies in Saint Charles Missouri. As a big fan of cookies, Hotbox cookies looked like a place that could probably be a great experience. I visited other cookies and bakeries of the similar nature so I decided to give this one a try. Overall Hotbox cookies was OK. Cookies were served warm however, after a few minutes cookies were flat and extremely greasy. Not a bad product so if you're in the area, give them a try. read more

Not sure how long this place has been open but I'm happy I finally stumbled upon this place. Hubby and I came on a Saturday night so it was very busy that the line was outside the door. There was 1 person working the front and they surely need more than 1 to have a better system to get customers in and out quickly. However, I understand is is hard for employers to get staff so we waited. The cookies were very soft and warm. We ordered a half dozen with chocolate chip and snickerdoodle. I also ordered an icing cookie sandwich with snickerdoodle and omg so good. My rating of 4 is because of inconsistencies. We were told it would take 10- 15 minutes for chocolate chip and with us already being there, we said ok. It only took 2 minutes after we checked out. We were also told they didn't have snickerdoodle but someone from the back came and said they do. Minor hiccups but still a factor. I'd come back for more cookies. read more

I placed two orders over the phone on June 27, 2024, at 12:54 PM to be picked up at 12:15 pm on June 29, 2024, for a birthday party. I arrived at the location at 12: 30 pm to pick up my order. Was I greeted immediately? NOPE. It took the OWNER roughly 5 minutes to come from the back. I stated I was here to pick up my order, giving the names on the order. She gave me the deer with the headlights look. I repeated myself again. She went to the back and then came back around to say the order wasn't ready AND she just ran out of 2 specific cookies that I specified wanting AND PRE-PAID FOR. She added insult to injuries by asking me if that would be a PROBLEM. I replied YES because I specifically placed my order ahead of time with the expectation that my order would be fulfilled with said cookies. Now, keep in mind the total order amounted to more than $50, it wasn't like I was ordering 1 or 2 cookies. ALSO, To GET the specific cookies, I wanted I had to order a 12 pack + a 6 pack instead of an 18-pack making the TOTAL cost MORE. I asked for my receipt which I had already previously seen and saw that the receipt clearly stated the date, time for pick up and the names on the order. THE OWNER, the only person in the establishment, the person that I am dealing with (NO OTHER CUSTOMERS in the place), came back around from the back after taking another 2 minutes to get the receipt, gave me the receipt BUT she had blacked out with a marker the date, time for pick up and names on the order. Why? She said she wanted to CLEAN up the receipt. WHAT the heck? How is that cleaning up the receipt. I called that being DECEPTIVE, SHADY, DISHONEST, etc. I WILL NOT step foot in this establishment AGAIN and I was a GOOD customer, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND RUN BUSINESS. read more

I have been wanting to try this place but line was always long. Finally got in tonight. It was empty. Yay! The worker was very knowledgeable and helped me figure out what was the best choices for a first timer. I got 6 cookies. Kinda pricey but I'm worth it lol. I got chocolate chip, m &m. My rating are as follows Customer service 10/10 Cookies 10/10 Wait Time 5/10 I'd like to start off by saying Michelle was the only one there and so was working really hard and doing a great job. She was also super kind and brought a good energy to my experience. The cookies I got were the chocolate chip, the "Elvis", and the oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. All of which were phenomenal. Nice and crispy edges and gooey centers. They were also nice and warm when we received them. The only bad part of my review was the wait time. It did take about 20 minutes to receive my cookies because they had just started a new batch of the chocolate chip cookies. Normally J would've been more upset, but I don't mind waiting for FRESH cookies! Additionally I understood that it was a busy shop and they only had the one worker so I am very understanding of the wait. I can't wait to go again! read more

I got here to order at 835pm or 840pm there was no one in the store. Three larger crowds ordered AFTER me and got their order and left... it is now 912pm and I have yet to receive my order. First it was a 12 min hold on red velvet and now she comes back and says a 12 min hold on snickerdoodle. I'm sure it is a hold after they have given customers AFTER ME the same thing I ordered before them! Maybe my skin isn't the right color because the others after me got great service and on their way to enjoy fireworks while I'm here waiting nearly 40 min for a small box of cookies and they WERE NOT MY "color" Upsetting and disappointing and disgusted! No apologies or anything for the long wait is what really angers me. Hate I even have to give one star but it was required in order to post! UPDATE: GOT MY COOKIES AT 9:31 ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! NEVER AGAIN!! The COOKIES WERE SO DOUGHY AND MUSHY... I MAY AS WELL ATE THE RAW DOUGH!!!! Disgusting!! Not only that the manager tries to debate with me about the wait when I know what time I ordered then asked me to cool them off then eat them!!!! Undercooked, underdone, barely-baked dough that fell apart into pieces upon being picked up. Basically a semi-raw dough center surrounded by a ring of almost done cookie around the outside. Only reason it's not 1 star is the flavors are actually pretty yummy, especially the Reese's pieces one. They just need to be in the oven about 4-5 min longer. read more

Fairly disappointed. Cookies were very underbaked. I like a soft and chewy cookie, but this was pretty extreme. I tried 3 flavors and they all basically tasted the same. Maybe because they were so underbaked? And they were super greasy as well. Not to mention they were out of 3 flavors I tried to get, but it was about 9pm, so I can understand that. Was excited to try these cookies from reviews but expectations were not met. read more

Placed an online order for delivery since we didn't want to take our baby out too close to bedtime. Our order was canceled due to them being short staffed, but the very next morning THE OWNER reached out to apologize about the order cancellation. Instead of cancelling the order completely, we decided to still purchase the next day since the owner personally contacted us wanting to deliver our order to make sure we got what we wanted. The wait was well worth it because the cookies were great and they will get my family's business every time going forward because of the amazing service. I was so excited to find this place and it was my favorite. However, I placed an online order only for pickup in 30 minutes. When I arrive it was very busy, I waited patiently to be helped. When the worker came to assist me 10 minutes later she informed me she didnt have time to look at the order beforehand. She went to the back and returned stating that they were out of 4 of the cookies I had ordered and it would be additional 25 minutes to get them or I could chose another type of cookie. I asked for a refund and I was advised that she would have to text the manager to get me refund as she could not do. I will not be returning as this is poor customer service. It has been 3 hours and I have yet to be refunded. read more

I attempted to order at 930pm to have delivered to my daughter - the website says open until 2am on Friday and Saturday nights. Placed my order - got CHARGED - only to find out hours later the order never got delivered and was apparently canceled!!!? No updates from the store - despite them having my email and phone numbers. Seriously need to either change their hours on the website/Google etc AND actually proactively reach out when they can't fulfill orders instead of leaving people hanging. Really poor customer service. read more

Hot Box Cookies is a Hot Mess Company! I ordered cookies online December 26, 2023. I used PayPal to pay. When I did not receive an email from the company I thought I should call to make sure my order was received. I only received an email from PayPal. The charge went on my credit card, but no confirmation email ever showed up in my email inbox. I had to call several locations before they could locate my online order, which they said went to their national order line. Whatever that is. Since I wanted my order the same day they recommended that order be canceled, and placed again with the location that would be in my delivery area, the one in St. Charles on Beale Street. I did that. Then, I got a call from someone at the Beale Street store saying I am out of their delivery area, therefore, it would cost me an extra $7 to get my order delivered. WTH? I told the girl to just cancel. The whole situation was ridiculous AND A WASTE OF TIME. I would not recommend ordering online with this company because their ordering system is terrible. Such a complete waste of time. NOW, I am having to wait on two refunds. Although I told her to cancel my order, guess who has to call back again because the order was not delivered nor cancelled. A HOT MESS!!! Terrible customer service. Horrible ordering system. Ugh! read more

Came in at 8:55 pm and was told that management said not to bake anymore although there is a literal black and white types sign that reads they don't bake 30 minutes before close. They are open until 10 today.... I was given 4 options on what was left and I chose two (1 red velvet, one seasonal). I was also offered the option to wait while she baked whatever I wanted. I waited for my other 4. She asked if I wanted the ones already made right away or if I wanted to wait until all the cookies were done. I told her I wanted them all at once. While waiting, she must've sold the red velvet I already purchased and there one in the oven while the others were already halfway through. I checked my box as soon as it was given to me and was told "that's just how they come, sorry".... I'm an avid hotbox cookie customer - that is unacceptable and they do NOT come like that. Probably won't be back to this location anytime soon. Very disappointing after already waiting 20 minutes for the other cookies. read more

Got some of the chips to try and they were not bad at all and grabbed some focaccia and a cinnamon roll and I must say everything was immaculate. It was so soft that bread and the cinnamon roll and I cannot wait to go back again. It was also very welcoming everyone was friendly and they moved very quickly in there.

They offer flights, hand made syrups, and plenty of milk and sweetener options. Even their batch brew is Chemex and never actually batch. Periodically, they have special releases, like mead barrel aged coffee or specialty micro lots and innovative processing styles. It's the only shop I know which carries cascara (tea made from coffee cherries). They have excellent baked food from Mr Meowski's, if that's your jam. All coffee is light roasted.
