Had the chance to try this diner. Very good service, interesting decor, and a friendly atmosphere. Food came out quickly and was very well done and flavorful. Portions were big at a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend for a nice breakfast or lunch!

A small place with not a lot of decor but that makes me think the focus more on the food than the ambiance. The server was fast and friendly and was very attentive. The food was exceptional, and plentiful. I had a huge omelet with crispy hashbrowns and a fantastic pancake.. In short this is a fantastic place and a prime example of a dinet done right.

I always love a good diner. Tony's is no exception. Cindy and Chris worked the dining room quickly and efficiently. Seating guests and serving up generous portions of whatever was ordered. I took a seat at the bar and was promptly taken care of. I'm not a huge fan of breakfast. I'd take lunch and dinner over breakfast anytime. Good thing, because the entire menu is available all day. Despite only being 9am, I went with fried catfish, green beans and mashed potatoes. This made enough for two meals for me. Two generous catfish fillets, well seasoned green beans, and mashed potatoes with white gravy. The breakfast plates that were coming out of the kitchen were just as generous. The menu has something for everyone. The space is on the smaller side, and tables are first come first served. What this place lacks in space they make up for it in hospitality and some really good home cooking.

Great service! Good food! And priced reasonably!!! St. Louis needs more diners like this than places like First Watch that does more damage to your pockets. So lucky to have found this place over the weekend.

This place was great. It is like a hometown restaurant. They are open from 6 am till 2pm Saturday-Thursday. You can eat breakfast till 2pm or choose sandwiches or Tony's specials. They have a lot to choose from on the menu. I got a skillet. It was so yummy. You get plenty of food. I have tons of leftovers. The atmosphere was so cool. They have a huge chalkboard that has the menu on it at the back of the restaurant. The wait staff was outgoing and quick to get our food and drinks. The atmosphere is so relaxing and comfortable. We go to Forrest Keely once a year as it's quite far from my home but I might have to find a few more gems so I can revisit Tony's.

We kept things pretty simple and ordered scrambled eggs with link sausage, along with pancakes and French toast. The eggs unfortunately came out a bit cool and weren't especially fluffy. They had more of a scooped-from-a-tray feel rather than something freshly cooked to order. The sausage, however, was fresh and had a good flavor, which was probably the standout part of the plate. The pancakes and French toast were decent overall. The pancakes were nicely fluffy, but aside from that there wasn't anything particularly memorable about either item. Our waitress seemed extremely busy and a bit scattered, which made it feel like she may have had too many tables to manage at once. At one point we overheard her say "turn 'em and burn 'em" while referencing customers/tables, which was a little off-putting and not exactly something that inspires repeat visits. Overall, the experience was okay but not particularly memorable. Personally, it's probably not somewhere I'd rush back to, though it did seem like the older clientele there were enjoying themselves.
