I have to write 2 reviews. We've been here before outside on the patio for brunch and it was very good. So we decided to try dinner in the dining room. Food and service was great! Our server was very attentive and really friendly. The food was delicious just as it was on our first visit. Great job! 4 Stars. Ambience on the other hand is an issue. The dining room looks great but probably the loudest place we've eaten at. Couldn't hear my wife across the table. Horrible experience. 0 Stars. It was the first time I've been there. What a fun atmosphere so much for everybody. I wish we could've stayed longer. We were in between a wedding. Had a glass of wine and a bourbon that was amazing. We had drinks in the bar area and then we went over to the restaurant just to check it out and it was fantastic as well. The service was on point. The bartender was great. I even went up to him and told him how great his bourbon drink was I can't wait to go back for some lounging out when I have more time and listening to music. The wings were really really good. TAVERN! (Have to specify) I haven't tried their main house yet! Went randomly to the valentines pop up with my best friend. We walked in on a Friday night. WOW!! It was cute! The drinks were delicious!! I had the soft launch, hard launch and an old fashioned! We had Joey for a server he was wonderful. So knowledgeable, kind, patient and helpful!! We ordered some food. We got sliders and then the panini. Both were scrumptious. Wine night & trivia?! What does this place NOT HAVE?! So after that night my coworkers invited me to their wine tasting night. So I decided after work to attend a wine tasting. WOW I learned about some amazing companies and the wines they offer. I had a blast mingling with people, and. I loved some wines I wouldn't have known about. Then trivia which was held in the tavern. Again Joey was a key person during our experience he's a great bartender (keep him around, hard working people are hard to find). I tried the lavender lemonade drink wowwww! I will happily be back.. I don't make it out to St Charles county very often, but this place is on my list of places to go to when I am out there. The cocktails are very well balanced and fairly priced. The wings were some of the best I've ever had. Nice smoke with a little bit of spice. It looks like it's a nice outdoor space, but we were there in the winter. The service was friendly and we never felt rushed to order or, more importantly, to leave once we were finished. The general manager is very knowledge about bourbon and e had a nice chat about that. This facility truly feels like its own little village. There's a new brew house on the property, a banquet area, and clearly marked grounds that make it easy to find where you're going. Plus they are still expanding with outside covered areas to rent. We signed up for a Galentine's cocktail-making class, which took place in the banquet area. When I first arrived, I accidentally walked into the brew house, but I was kindly redirected by the staff--everyone was very welcoming from the start. The event took place on a Sunday and included their Sunday brunch, and WOW --everything and everyone impressed me. There were stairs leading up to our event area on the right, and all alcohol was included. The instructor provided detailed, easy-to-follow in person instructions on how to prepare each drink, along with the option to place an order for liquor to pick up at a later time. After finishing our s'mores-inspired cocktail, we were released to enjoy brunch below--and it was epic. If you decide to come just for brunch, it's about $30 per person and totally worth it. They had an amazing spread with everything from breakfast to lunch items. Half my plate had bacon and eggs, and the other half had chicken Alfredo and salad. After brunch, I returned to the event and made two more cocktails. The entire experience lasted about 2.5 to 3 hours. Once it wrapped up, we stopped by the new brew house to keep the party going. Overall, this experience is hard to put into words because of the warmth and genuinely welcoming atmosphere throughout the entire day. Hostess friendly and welcoming. Alex was our server. She was very friendly,attentive and speedy with service. My friend and I ordered for drinks the Caramel Apple Cider. Sweet, refreshing , and garnish of cinnamon stick and rim were delicious. Food ordered was Chicken sandwich, and Caesar salad. Chicken was cooked and seasoned to perfection with all the toppings to make this sandwich the best I've had in a long time. Salad was yummy and great portion. Upstairs they have a cocktail lounge to relax and mingle and converse with plenty of open seating, which is also used for a private event area. My only complaint was the false advertisement of spooky cocktails availability. I checked the website and many spooky drinks I wanted to taste, but unfortunately I was informed this is only on the weekends. It's holiday season leading up to Halloween and that was just silly to not be available. Other than that I would say this visit was a 10/10. This place is so great for many reasons. Atmosphere is great and the food is definitely 5 star. My husband is picky and he loves the steaks ! I personally go for their fish or chicken and it's great tasting. Also my husband loves the way they make their old fashioned drinks !!! If you want some entertainment after you can head right outside for a full on concert with plenty of outside seating, or just want to sit with friends and have drinks, they have a cute distillery right behind the restaurant! A bunch of my co workers and I came here on a Friday night for a mini bachelorette. We had a table reserved outside and it was perfect! Our waitress came by frequently and was very patient considering we were a large group of about 15-20. To drink I got the fig and honey margarita to drink and I really enjoyed it. It was slightly sweet and perfect for the cool night. To eat I got the steak sliders and Brussels sprouts. The sliders were amazing!! I typically don't like blue cheese but it wasn't overpowering in the blue cheese horseradish sauce. The Brussel sprouts were okay, I typically like mine more crispy. Everyone in our group loved their drinks and food! After we ate we went over by the stage to listen to music, dance and drink! We were invited to go out to brunch and this was the place the other couple chose. None of us had eaten here before. None of us knew ahead of time that it was a buffet. A reservation had been made for 10:00, which is when they open. We get taken to what I would consider to be the worst table. We were seated at a table that is right by the buffet - everyone would be walking within inches of us and possibly be bumping into us. I asked if we could be moved to another table. The hostess said they were all reserved. I'm not typically very pushy, but I did push back some. She had to go check, but she did come back and move us. I honestly don't even think they should have a table that close to the buffet. So we're seated and that's when we all realize that it's only a buffet - no menu. I did ask if they have lattes because I don't drink plain coffee, but they do not. They do have some alcohol available. We got our food and it was okay. A lot of the bacon looked really limp, so I looked for some that was cooked a little more. The biscuits and gravy were okay, but the gravy needed more flavor. None of the eggs looked appealing at all. There were a few other things on the buffet, but it wasn't really very big. There was another table across the room that had waffles and an assortment of toppings for them, some breads, and things to make a yogurt parfait (I didn't see anything but plates so I guess it wouldn't be a real parfait!). The server we had was pretty good. She checked on us throughout our time there to see if we needed anything and to clear dirty plates. It's a fairly large restaurant and it got pretty loud in there! It was very clean though! I don't see us going back there. There are so many great brunch places and this isn't one of them. read more

Service was friendly and pleasant. The seating very comfortable. A great big fireplace appears ready for cooler weather. It was a Sunday and they do a brunch buffet. I'm limited by my gluten allergy but i had some options. The scrambled eggs were fluffy, bacon crispy, but the roasted vegetables were the stars for me. my dining companion said the biscuits and gravy were very good. This is such a fun place! We came on a Saturday afternoon around 3 and wanted to sit inside because it was warm and he had our baby with us. We just came for a drink and they had a lot of reservations for the night in the restaurant. When we arrived we only saw the restaurant building and the lawn area. We then saw the distillery building which was the perfect place for just wanting drinks! We ordered a couple drinks in there. I'm not sure if children are allowed in that building but no one said anything to us! We only saw the sign once we left. Oops! We got espresso martinis, vodka lemonade, and the old fashioned. We stopped in for a leisurely lunch in late September when the weather was still perfect for Al fresco dining. The restaurant has a cozy patio that was perfect for such an afternoon. The building is set back off the road a bit. The parking lot is sizable and easy to maneuver. There's an area for outdoor activities including a bar and tables. The inside is massive!! Plenty of room on the main floor and upstairs dining areas. The bathrooms are well designed. They offer an extensive wine, beer, and cocktail menu. Definitely something for everyone. The menu boasts a variety of options to please most palates. We decided to share the crab cakes, Caesar salad, and fries. The crab cakes were on the thinner side, but crisp and well seasoned. The salad felt a little thin, and could have done with a protein. Both made an adequate light lunch. The side of fries balanced everything out nicely. The service was excellent! From the host stand, bar keep, servers, and management staff everyone was welcoming and friendly. I am looking forward to visiting again soon for brunch. read more

Cottlev Village is what I would call a hidden gem. The fried chicken sandwhich and fries were plentiful and delicious the sandwhich was seasoned to perfection. The caramel apple cider beer was a first for me and it did not disappoint. Cottle Village has a restaurant on the first floor and the second floor thats where you can take your alcoholic beverage or drink of choice and relax or it can be used as a gathering place. We had dinner with a large group in the Tavern, and they seated us up on their loft, which was a nice space with different seating options for everyone. Despite our party's size, our orders all got taken quickly and all the drinks and food came out extremely fast. Everybody enjoyed their meals, I had the Braised Short Rib which was a hearty portion and was covered in a nice Port Wine sauce. The real stars were the sides- I really enjoyed the Mac and Cheese and Fried Crispy Cauliflower. This review is in regard to The Tavern. I made reservations a month in advance so we could treat our son to a nice steak when he was home on leave prior to shipping out across seas. Now the food was really good! I could even enjoy a meal of just the wonderful sides. In our party of 4, we pretty much ordered every side plus steak and salmon and nothing disappointed! But now for the disappointing part. Holy cow this place is LOUD! I specifically requested a quieter area with preference of outside due to my hard of hearing husband. Well they completely disregarded any request and sat us smack dab in the middle of the restaurant. It was so loud, even the staff was struggling to hear anything we said and vice versa. So much for a nice meal with conversation because it wasn't possible. The Tavern is a large open area with vaulted ceilings and absolutely nothing on the walls or curtains to possibly break up the noise. read more

I made a reservation for 20 people about 3-4 weeks in advance for a birthday brunch and was told someone would contact me the week of to confirm final details. Unfortunately, no one did, and I had to follow up myself. When I called, the host initially couldn't locate my reservation and took my number for a manager to call me back. After waiting a few hours with no response, I called again and was told the manager would be in at 3 PM. My event was scheduled for Sunday, and this was already Saturday evening, so the delay was concerning. Instead of a call, I received a text confirming 20 guests. I called back again to update my party size to 30, and only then was I able to speak directly with the manager to confirm everything. On the day of the brunch, our group of 30 arrived at 11:45 AM for a 12:00 PM reservation. The restaurant was not prepared for us, and we were not seated until 12:30 PM. While delays can happen, especially on a busy day, this was disappointing given the advance notice. This was a buffet brunch, and unfortunately, the food did not meet expectations. The selection was very limited--eggs, sausage, Brussels sprouts, salmon (which was overly salty), undercooked French toast, potatoes, and fruit. It felt more like a basic continental breakfast than a paid brunch experience. I was especially disappointed that waffles, which I specifically came for, were not included. Our waitress was nice and professional, and she truly did the best she could under the circumstances. However, service overall was poor--many guests did not receive their drinks, received incorrect drinks, or had to wait extended periods. This was clearly not her fault; it was a management issue. For a reservation of this size made weeks in advance, additional support should have been provided. It also took approximately 45 minutes to an hour to process payments for the group, which caused delays in our plans for the rest of the day. The most disappointing part of the experience was the interaction with one of the owners. When one of my guests expressed concerns about the service and adjusted the tip accordingly, the owner responded in a rude and disrespectful manner, stating that my guest "didn't know how to tip" and told her she could leave and not return. This was completely unprofessional and unnecessary. The service issues were a direct result of poor planning and management, not the efforts of the waitress. For context, our group included several doctors, business owners, a school principal, superintendents, and a bank vice president. Tipping is not an issue for us--however, quality service is expected. Overall, this experience reflected a lack of preparation, organization, and customer service. The waitress did her best, but she was set up to fail. As the owner mentioned, we won't be returning. This establishment would benefit greatly from improvements in customer service and group event planning. read more

The Service is good and the venue itself is very very nice and they have their own on site distillery. I really wanted to like this place more. We visited Cottle Village on a Friday evening and had a fun time! The space is pretty big and spread out, with different buildings for different types of drinks, which makes it a cool and unique setup. They also have food options available. We ordered the pretzel bites with beer cheese, and they were delicious--definitely a highlight! There was live music while we were there, which added to the vibe, although the performance itself was just okay. Service was good as well. Overall, it's a fun spot with a relaxed atmosphere. It's a beautiful setup with separate areas divided by tall old trees making it appear to have been there forever. Amazing job on the build. Have been there 3 times trying to get a seat on the main patio. There are only about 12 tables there and each time was told it was a 2 hour wait. We ate at the bar on two of the visits and left on one. They had reserved signs in every table out there on one visit and two sat open the entire time we were there. Meaning they could have turned those tables before the reserving party showed up. It's very easy to seat a reserved table and giving the folks you are seating a heads up about the reservation. People will both appreciate and comply. On our most recent visit, the hostess, after telling us that it was a 2 hour wait, must be standard verbiage, flipped her iPad over and snapped at us "They are ALL RESERVED " with a smirk on her face as if we were not worthy of her time. Not a good first face representation. There is a beautiful Ampitheater area with limited bar and food available. You can bring chairs but they also have chairs available. There is a bourbon tasting building in back that also has a menus of drinks and food not available in the main area. It is loud in there so be prepared for that. There is a very cool area upstairs in the main area with couches and such for private events. All in all, the food is good, the atmosphere is great, and most of the staff is friendly and will answer all the questions you may have. read more

I want to point out that this place is absolutely beautiful. It's unique for the area and is much needed for residents of the area. The menu is top notch and covers a variety of cuisine. With that bring said, I was disappointed when I arrived before 4pm and almost every table on the patio was reserved. I witnessed most of them sitting empty for up to hour. I took a friend out who had been recovering from an injury and she wanted to experience the beautiful weather. Instead, we had to belly up yo the bar. Now, the new bartender was friendly and accommodating to our needs. It was simply hard to sit there and watch tables sit empty that could have easily been turned for customers like us. If we were told we had an hour, I would have made sure we were ready to move on in time. Also, I was told a specific liquor was only available in the distillery for a drink I ordered, but it was on the menu for as an ingredient for a happy hour drink in the bar. Now, I will definitely go back, but hope to enjoy the patio and not be told it will be a two hour wait. We shall see. read more

Cottle Village has potential but is still figuring out its identity. The food itself was great, but the overall experience left room for improvement. The indoor dining area felt dark and under-decorated, and the ambiance could use some attention. Our server wasn't able to answer some of our questions, though they were accommodating and kind.
