We ordered the sirloin steak with skinny fries and a side salad and the 9in Hawaiian pizza. The steak was alright. The pizza was pretty good if you like thin crust. We didn't impromptu dinner. We're not in the mood to cook so we decide to go to JJ's. It is right the street from us and we forget about it often. We sat at the bar. The bartender was extremely friendly and helpful. The vegetable soup was amazing and they have a burgundy vinaigrette that is out of this world. I would highly recommend trying this restaurant. The Manager literally yelled and was belligerent with a customer, my friend, after she wrote 'slow service' on her receipt. He came up to the table and was angry from the get go, he asked "what's your side of the story", he didn't say who he was, and the customer said she doesn't want to get into a conversation now, can she talk later, because she's trying to finish talking to her friend. The 'manager' then yelled "well we aren't gonna talk about it later". I told him he didn't have to be so angry. He kept saying he wants to know what the problem was. Clearly he was the problem at this point. He was so angry, we both felt threatened for our safety so we said we're leaving. He yelled OK bye, have a nice day! All the other customers were staring in shock. We will NEVER go back there again. My friend and her family have been going there for 20 years! I have never seen a manager get so confrontational with a customer, and he was getting more angry with every second, he smashed his fist in his hand. The restaurant is a family friendly little spot in St. Charles I was in the area and was hungry and this looked like a place to try, the menu has pretty much of anything you may have a taste for, I opted for chicken fingers and fries which turned out to be a great choice, my hubby ordered a double smashburger which I tried and it was equally as good as the chicken fingers. The wait staff was very attentive the service was fast we ordered and in little to no time our food was coming out. After enjoying a 5k family run/walk we were in the mood for a nice meal. One of our friends recommended JJ's restaurant in St. Charles, MO. We did make a quick reservation prior to arrival and was seated once we arrived. Our server quickly got our drink order and let us know they serve both breakfast and lunch. Some of our party ordered both as well as some peach mimosas. It was quite busy on a Sunday mid-morning but we weren't in a rush. JJ's has nice decor and plenty of seating for small and large groups. I do recommend calling ahead to ensure your party can be served. All meals were delicious and seasoned to our liking. We did watch some March madness which added to our experience. First time visit and won't be the last. My daughter goes to Lindenwood so we wanted to grab a quick dinner up here before an event and found this gem. My husband and I ordered a mushroom and Swiss burger with fries and 10 buffalo wings. Nothing fancy, but really tasty. Wings were crispy, covered in sauce and came out piping hot with some of the best ranch I've ever had. The burger was a smash burger style, bigger than the bun, not dry, and loaded with mushrooms. The fries lacked salt, but were still good- even better dipped in the ranch. Bonus was it is pie night on Wednesdays and we got a free piece of pie to eat here or to go. The only reason for the two stars was because the burger was at least good, but the quality and value is gone. We ordered two cheeseburgers and fries to go. The picture shows the amount of fries received with my order. The manager said the box left before the rest of the fries were finished cooking. That would mean the rest of our food would have gotten cold while new fries were being cooked. I asked for onion on my cheeseburger and you can see the measly little piece of onion. We paid nearly $38 for a single cheeseburger and a triple cheeseburger with fries. The manager, Steven, offered a gift card for our next visit, but not sure we'll go back. read more

I gave them a 2 for their friendly staff and good toast. However, I've had 4 bad meals there, and the only reason I've returned is for some reason my friends like it. This is basically a family owned restaurant without all the fancy nonsense you'll find in chain restaurants. No pieces of flair required. Known for their hamburgers which I've enjoyed more than once they usually have a burger special that includes a side and a drink. I went on a Friday during lent so they had all you can eat catfish. It was good but it wasn't Hobo's good which has the best catfish I've ever had. It's a reliable place to get good home cooking so it's definitely in my regular rotation of restaurants although I usually go to the one in O'Fallon but this one is nice also. read more

We came on a Wednesday and ordered their special Rib Tips which has a lot of meat but a little too much bbq sauce - would ask for sauce on side next time. They have gone downhill in the last few months. Omlettes have gotten really small and unappealing. I ordered an ultimate omelette and it was the smallest omelette I've ever gotten. They used to be a good size. It seemed like they are trying to increase profits by skimping on quality. Went back and ordered the Italian omelette. Again, very small and unappealing. It was supposed have onion green pepper cheese and pepperoni. It had all the ingredients, but only had cheese inside. Everything else was on top. That's not an omelette. The food ordered (two build your own omelettes, coffee and hot tea) did not look appealing, and lacked any discernible flavor. My wife and I both felt very ill the rest of the day.
