Met up with my mom and her husband for a last minute St Patty's dinner out. We had actually tried another place and it was packed so we came here. I've been here a few times before but it's been a couple years and they've updated the place. The inside was nice. We arrived just about 1 hour before closing and I appreciated that the server let us know right away that they were out of the daily special and also a couple of other items. She said it had been much busier than expected the entire week. Mom and Hubby ordered fried chicken specials and said they were fabulous - I tried a piece of the chicken and it was crispy outside and juicy inside, YUM! I wasn't too hungry so I ordered the fried cauliflower app and it was perfection and their ranch is good too! The server stayed on top of our drinks, was friendly and helpful and never rushed us even as they got close to closing time. Note the restaurant is also attached to a bar on the other side and I think the bar may have later hours. Overall this is a great place for a burger or a daily homecooked special with very reasonable prices and good service. read more

The restaurant is closed more than open and you have to eat in the gar next door, which is noisy and hard wooden benches to sit on. Food is the same as the restaurant which is decent. If they continue to be closed I will dine elsewhere. read more

Looks like a dive, but it's so worth stopping in for lunch or dinner! The fish was fantastic (they have crappie, walleye & cod) & I can't wait to come back to try the pork tenderloin!!! Don't let the outside, or inside, scare you. It's a grimy, sticky tablecloth kind of place, but the food is great. We go there for fish dinners which are available all week, not just Fridays. The rest of the menu is your typical burger bar fare. Never tried any of it, but it looks good. The bar and restaurant are thankfully separated by a wall and door. Smoking still allowed on the bar side. Crowd can look a bit rough but are friendly. Portions are generous. read more

Watch menu prices! We were charged $4.99 for a kids meal which stated a drink was included then charged $2.50 for a kids drink. So that's $7 for your kids to eat here. When we asked the blonde bartender about it she said the menu was wrong and that price no longer includes a drink. read more

This bar and grill is in a small town with some of the best walleye I have ever eaten. They have a smoking section completely away from the non-smokers which is awesome. The staff is friendly. I will be revisiting on a Wednesday to try their fried chicken read more

Celebrated my father's 80th birthday here tonight and the food was great! I had the Philly cheesesteak, which was a good size portion, the Ceasar salad has house made dressing (yum) and the steaks were tender and juicy! We used to go to the Main Street Bar and Grill regularly because we really enjoyed the fish meals. Our favorites were while catfish and buffalo. They moved about 100 feet to a larger building and have become more of a burger place. Our favorite fish dishes are no longer available. They now have only catfish fillets, walleye fillets, and crappie fillets. We ordered the catfish and walleye fillets with the house salad. The first problem was that the bleu cheese dressing did not taste at all like bleu cheese and was not even the normal which color you see with bleu cheese. The food came out much faster than we are used to - probably takes longer to prepare whole catfish and buffalo - and, by the time we finished our salads, the food was barely. We got go boxes and will heat it up another day. Probably our last visit to this place. read more
