Nice pub atmosphere with a very good Rueben sandwich and excellent service. We will come back.

I was so excited to try this place with my book club. We came on a Monday were promptly seated. They gave us two tables for 7 people. Great space. It was loud so hard to hear anyone. We arrived at 6PM, ordered at 630PM received our food at 7:16PM, but they forgot my order brought my potato skins. They had to out my salad order in as they forgot about it. They brought it covered in onion I asked for no onion. I am 5 months pregnant so super hungry and picked off all of it so I could eat. I'm slightly allergic so my mouth was itchy but I was hungry. The gentleman, only server, working came over and said "oh that had onion on it...oops", "I grabbed the wrong salad." We waited over 45 minutes for our check. It was extremely hot in the restaurant. I want to say this gentleman was working the entire place at the bar and serving by himself so he really did the best he could. read more

Murphy's was a fun spot, especially during a Blues game. The music was really loud but that's pretty standard for a game-day bar. The burger was really good and the tater tots were extra crispy. But the real star was the Trashed Wings! Deep fried, tossed in hot sauce, then deep fried again. So good and it is one of the best wings in town. Overall, great vibe for watching sports and I'd go back just for the wings. read more

Village pub is a delightfully quaint place with excellent food, cold beer and a friendly staff. My favorite is their fish and chips served hot and fresh with a batter that is not like mush. I love the crispy crunch of each bite. They also have a delicious hamburger that comes with fries and is only $9.95 a true bargain at that price. They also have several unique appetizers that are truly delicious and a bit unusual. read more

Our neighbor was telling how good this is, so we had to check it out. It was a lazy weekend afternoon visit for us and they were not busy. The menu has a nice selection of the usual fare for a sports bar. I had a patty melt and my wife had fish and chips. The service was really fast, as the food came out before we finished our first drink. Great flavor with my patty melt, with onions and gooey cheese and my wife's fish was airy and crispy. Good thing because there was one front of house staff and appeared to be one person in the kitchen. The food was fine but nothing to write home about. Also pricey but everything is these days. Stopped in for lunch on the shaded patio and was seated quickly. Our server was so kind and personable, recommending items from the menu. Got the pretzel app and blackened chicken wrap, both of which were a great portion for the price, prepared perfectly, and delicious. Definitely returning in the near future! read more

We decided to give Murphy's a try on Friday night. We are always looking for new places to eat since we eat out almost every night. We found a table outside as it was a beautiful evening for September. I love pepperoni so I decided to try the pepperoni appetizer. It was ok, I was hoping for more pepperoni inside the breading, also very greasy. For our mean, my wife ordered a chicken wrap and I ordered the Rueben with fries. The chicken sandwich was a little dry, needs more ranch in it, my Rueben was a little dry as well. The thousand island was served on the side which was different. The fries and not my kind of fries, I'm a huge crinkle fry person. Overall it was a decent meal. We will give them another try after they have been open for a bit. read more

Love this place so much. The owner Suzanne and her staff are amazing. The drinks are poured well and the food is fantastic.

Our first visit was very pleasant. Trying a new place and being impressed is always a breath of fresh air. Friendly and fast service. This will become one of our regular spots, we loved it. Great atmosphere, perfect for a pint of Guinness and to grab lunch or dinner. We both had the Horseshoe, which was awesome. Superb cheese and fries. Burned fries every time we come. Server said , "that's the way we cook them" No attempt to recook them. Offered slaw instead. Pretzel sticks were overcooked too. Place has really done down since it opened. read more

Absolutely Abhorrent experience at this establishment Sunday June 1st. We had the misfortune of going to Murphy's at 12:10 pm right after our grandaughters soccer game. When we arrived the restaurant was full so the owner "Ash" said it would be a 30 minute wait if we wanted to sit inside. We asked if we could sit outside and avoid some of the wait and at least get drinks. Ash said yes so we sat outside and waited 20 minutes and noone came to get our drinks or bring us menus - we went inside and got our own menus and told Ash we needed drinks at the very least. The bartender came out and took our drink order then brought our drinks. At this point it was 12:45. So we had waited 35 minutes to get our drinks. The bartender took our meal order and said it would be 30 minutes for our meals to come out. We were on a time constraint as my son had to go to work at 2::30 but figured 30 more minutes we could still eat and he could get to work on time. 30 min later the bartender comes to refill drinks and says that food should be just about ready and she will ck on it. She comes back 10 minutes later (1:30) and says the order hadnt even been started yet and that she was sorry but the new owners put our ticket behind someone elses and they didnt see it. We got there at 12:10 pm and at 1:30 pm still had no food - in fact no food was even started !!!! This is NOT the way to run any restaurant let alone one that has a decent following in the youth soccer community as it is only a half mile from the Rush Soccer fields which have numerous games every weekend. I called today to speak with the manager and all she could say was that she was "sorry". That is NOT how you take care of customers if you want to stay in business. I'm sorry is not acceptable if you want people to give you a second chance. You need to do your research on peak times and staff accordingly!!! read more

Murphys was a great surprise! They have a great patio, which is dog friendly! The service was great, everyone was extremely friendly and offered great suggestions! I had the Reuben which I typically order if it's on the menu and I thought it was one of the best! We will be back and I recommend that you give it a try! read more

Happened to drive by here on a Saturday afternoon and decided to try it after seeing the sign posted out front. This place is very nice. Lots of TVs to watch college football! Chatted with the owner and friendly as can be!! Ended up trying a few draft beers and all were delicious (yuengling lager, schlafly pumpkin ale and Breckenridge avalanche. Got patty melt with fries. My date said it was excellent. I got the chicken bacon ranch wrap with tater tots. It was fantastic. Service was fast and friendly. No pics because we were hungry and ate it fast!! Great new neighborhood pub! Greeted with a smile, service top notch, and have enjoyed several items on the menu on multiple occasions. You can't go wrong on the aps but I would especially call out the trashed wings, pretzels w/beer cheese & the potato skins! Flatbreads and salads are also great! The Reuben (REAL corned beef- yay!) & the Smash-burger...fries crispy crinkle- yum! The spirits- spot on!! I will keep going back, I always have a great time, fun with friends, convenient location, awesome pub decor and atmosphere...live music occasionally...patio, bar or table - well it's my new fav place!! Food was fair to good but I will pass on fries and potato skins were greasy from bacon that was not entirely precooked. Time for getting food from order time was very good. We will likely not be back for one reason we saw repeated three times total including us - it started as our very first Customer Service impression when we walked in - "Oh party of three - you can only sit at any 4-top table!". So when we walked in Sunday about 3:15 and games already underway... there were like 8 empty six tables and only two four tops.... Ok... pretty petty given plenty of space and tables, but your first impression to make and set the tone for my experience where I dropped $100 on my tab. We watched them do it to two other people including a sweet older man who had already sat down was watching the game... and they say "you by yourself?" --- "Yes why do you ask? The man replies." -- "You can only sit in a 4 top" and they make him move - I should have asked if we were allowed to invite him to our table! They do it to another family... all while there are 4 or more 6 top tables open. I get why they want to maximize open seats... but really? so do you tell customers to hit the road when you run out of 4 tops? But ok to do this to customers before then. Maybe you might want to first pay attention to the ceiling foam acoustic tiles ready to fall in two places - one was ready to fall while we were there as it was hanging by a thread after the glue is letting loose. I will help your cause... we will not take up space in one of your four tops or at your bar. Good luck - sorry to take up three seats while we were there. Yeah it really was that big of a deal - especially for the poor older man you did that too... maybe he has nobody else and you reminded him of that... but then you wanted a great tip from him didn't you? read more
