Went for St Patricks day I got appetizer and non alcoholic beer good place to go for food watch sports very busy for St Patricks day!!!!

Was looking for a Happy Hour in O'Fallon and found the Irish Gypsy Bar and Grill. O'Fallon has a few pubs in town and what better way than to start with this one. Irish Gypsy has all the sports decor one can look for, plenty of TVs, bar games and of our course bar food. Stopped in for Friday Happy Hour and took a seat at the before the 5pm rush hit. Enjoy a few appetizers on the HH menu as well as one of the draft beers. Took advantage of their entree menu and tried a few signature sandwiches. Not bad and did compliment our experience. Service was awesome and a very popular place for HHs, so get there early. Great time and highly recommend. read more

Been here several times and every time I've enjoyed my meal. This is a no frills bar that keeps it simple. When you walk in there's a bar in the center of the room and seating along the walls/area. They have draft beers, specialty cocktails, and a full bar so there's something for everyone. They have daily specials and a straightforward menu. My only complaint would be wanting a larger variety of Irish foods but I understand for a bar you want to have a smaller menu that you do well. Reading as always is fundamental. There are numerous signs but I'm also reiterating kids are not allowed past a certain hour so if you're trying to come with kids PLEASE plan accordingly. We've had the Reuben eggrolls, corned beef burger, cheeseburger, pretzels, turkey sandwich, and the pretzels for dessert. I absolutely recommend the Reuben eggrolls, corned beef sandwich, beer cheese, and the cinnamon sugar pretzels with blueberry cheesecake dip. I don't know who or how that dessert was made up, I never thought I'd like it, but I'm actually obsessed with it. I will continue to be back to try more foods read more

DELISH. Went for the first time after a round of golf at Turtle Ridge. The Ruben egg rolls are surprising and RECOMMEND. The chicken was seasoned perfectly and the chips are homemade. People are friendly but a little dark. Definitely more of a bar in the evenings, but a great, easy-going spot for lunch on the weekends.. Yum! read more

I was denied carry out service because they were in their dinner rush. I had just gotten out of work and didn't want to spend time in a noisy bar with rude strangers. I spoke with server's and requested a menu to make sure I could order? I placed my order and was quickly informed that the COOK was denying anyone service who wanted carry out. I informed the server that I was dealing with that I won't ever patronize their establishment again. read more

Always good! the last meal I had there was voodoo shrimp .. amazing. Beer is always cold and service is great !

The food is amazing here. I highly recommend the steak sandwich and turkey sandwich. Splurge for the beer cheese, it's one of the best around. The staff is really friendly also. read more

We have tried to eat in here several times but it is always packed which is a good sign. So I decided to order carryout. First, the girl who took my order (I think her name was Dani?) was fabulous. Couldn't have been friendlier and was definitely into sales as she asked if I needed several add-ons. The owners should be thrilled because normally when you order carryout, your lucky if a person is even interested in taking an order. The terrific service continued with her through the entire pickup experience. Great job!! The food was great, hot and delicious. We will definitely be back either to eat in or more carryout. Keep up the good work! read more

What a delightful surprise it was to dine here. It started off with a friendly welcome and a warm smile. Our server helped me whittle down my lunch selection to fit my food restrictions . I had a blt wrap. It was tasted and filling. She kept an eye on us and made us feel good. The atmosphere suits their sports bar feel. Quantity of servings perfect. Price was in moderate range. Definitely add The Irish Gypsy to my return to list. read more

Some co workers and I came in for a quick lunch on a Friday. The place was busy but the service was still good. We were able to get our food and check in a timely manner to get back to school. This time I got the Rueben egg rolls. The Rueben rolls were okay. They did not have a lot of flavor and it mostly just tasted like fried dough. This wasn't necessarily bad I just wish there was another flavor I could have tasted. read more

They have a wide selection of unique food offerings. The prices are reasonable. The staff are always friendly and helpful.

We had not eaten here before. We decided to order take out and boy were we mistaken... we should've eaten in! This place is amazing; the atmosphere, the staff, the FOOD. The food could be categorized as bar food but is elevated, comfort bar food. We could not have been happier! Nothing was frozen. It was all fresh mad and delicious! We will certainly be back and this time to go inside for drinks and food. Shout out to the awesome staff! read more

Great vibe. Great folks. Great food. I was her visiting and plan to see these fine folks again.

Andrea was on point tonight. Service was fantastic. Highly recommend The Irish Gypsy.

This is a great family owned business with great food and friendly staff with a fun environment. We love this place and it's food!

Great place for drinks and atmosphere. They're know for the steak sandwich. Try the wedge salad with steak added! Delicious. I travel quite a bit and trying to eat healthy on the road is challenging. This one really hits the mark dressing on the side... read more

My wife and I love to try new places especially locally owned places. We were headed for a day of shopping on a Sunday and decided to pop in and try out this new restaurant. We had been here in its prior life and did not return , but let me be clear. New restaurant, new owners, new design. My wife ordered a cheeseburger and I ordered the steak sandwich. While there were a few hiccups with the cheeseburger, the owner took full responsibility and took it off our bill and made her a perfect burger which we loved. I ordered the steak sandwich, which is made in Garlic cheese bread. I love garlic cheese bread so it was a no brainer. The steak was delicious, I honestly could have ate two of them it was so good. If you are in the area, give it a shot. The owner was involved, the service was great and the food delicious. read more

I have to say, the Irish Gypsy serves up some fantastic bar food. They really go the extra mile to make the dishes more interesting. The pretzel with beer cheese sauce was amazing; the outside had a perfect crunch, while the inside was nice and soft. I ordered the Reuben sandwich, but I'm definitely going to try the fried bologna sandwich on my next visit. For my side, I chose a salad, and it really stood out with its delicious Italian dressing. I'm not sure if they make it in-house, but it was excellent. I'll definitely be back, as there are so many items I still want to try, like the Reuben egg rolls and some of the soups! read more

It is sad that a business would consider themselves a neighborhood establishment and exclude under 21 starting at 6:00 p.m. I would love to bring my teenagers here as a family for their food. I would understand over 21 starting at a reasonable time like 8. You won't get any of our business any hours of the day with this policy. read more

I brought my 19-year-old son here for dinner. We sat at one of the back tables. When the waitress arrived with the menus, the first thing she said was that she needed to see my son's ID. We were not there to drink--just to try out the food. I was told that, as it was 6:10 PM, it was 21 and over, my son could not be in the "restaurant". It would have been nice if it had been posted somewhere that this was not, in fact, a restaurant but a bar and that families were not welcome after 6 p.m. read more

This was my second time here and their French dip is now one of my benchmarks. Hubby had the chicken fried chicken and it was beyond tender. Sammi, our server, was delightful. So enjoy The Irish Gypsy. read more

Best burgers in town! The service was exceptional. They were short-staffed the day we came, but our waitress was phenomenal and didn't miss a beat. There are games, a pool table and darts in the other side for something fun to do. Looks and feels like an Irish pub, with a bar feel on the other side. Something for everyone. read more

Just moved to the area and thought we would give it a trying we will definitely return. Very unassuming from the outside and rather industrial on the inside but it's comfortable and the staff was very friendly and attentive. I had the special of the day on Sunday which was a delicious Parmesan crusted chicken sandwich and I loved it .This is a bar that serves food and it seems to be a very popular spot with the locals. read more

Extremely underrated food! Great owners who are regularly working themselves and work to make your experience great! Never had a bad time and this place is always filled with good people. Not a party bar, but rather a great pub with way better food than you'll find at any other bar! read more

I left a review the first time we tried this place. I must say, Irish Gypsy has become one of my favorite places for lunch or dinner. Very sad that I found this place 2 weeks before moving out of the area after 25 years. This place gave me mid 90's bar flashbacks and I loved it. And the food was exceptional! There are always minor personal issues, like the perfectly cooked steak sandwich was a little heavily seasoned for my taste. But I often find myself wanting their bangers and mash. read more

Ordered the juicy steak sandwich with chips. It was delivered with fries. Took two bites and it was under cooked and over loaded with salt and chewy. Could not take another bite since it was so unappetizing. Server came by and asked if I wanted a box. Two bites!!!! Didn't ask if it was ok. Won't be back. read more

Our family tried the Irish Gypsy today because someone told us they had great burgers. The food was fine, not great, but charging extra for every condiment when prices are already high was a real turn-off. Just not a place I would ever go back to. read more

I was just powering through on a cross-country trip and happened upon this place. It's got a great character about it.
