Went in before & after mardi gras. In the am we grabbed a drink from the bartender- bloody mary. The bartender gave me plenty of olives when I requested extra & also let me doctor it up w hot sauce. After the parade we went in for dinner. Place was busy but we were seated quickly & our waitress was great. Got our order in quickly & brought everything out hot & fresh. Sports bar atmosphere. Lots of tables & space for many groups.

I'm from out of town and hit this place up for lunch time during the week. It had its own parking lot - which before going there I was concerned about parking since it is downtown - but parking was quick and convenient. We got in before the lunch rush. We were immediately greeted and we sat down. Our server was nice and generally attentive. The server was a little slow on keeping our drinks full - but I will give her grace as we did come in just before the lunch rush. Our server was busy - but one of my pet peeves is there were other servers who were not as busy at all and easily could checked on our drinks - but they didn't. I've never worked in the service industry so maybe that's taboo ‍ The vibes were pleasant - large windows to the outside - clean - a big, fully stocked bar - beer on draft - TVs throughout regardless of where you were seated. The menu was what you'd expect from an Irish joint and was up to par. I had a wrap - my daughter had the Sheppards Pie - both were good - hers was better (as was expected). Being my first time here it seemed like a popular local spot. I would recommend this place and would go back, given the opportunity.

Love the big space. Coming here for a date night or sports night would be great. We got the shepherds pie and the corn-beef and cabbages it tastes great and the beer selection is great as well as cocktails. Parking space are great and good services as well. Will definitely come back and check it out at night time.

The food was great! I love their sweet potato fries, it was thin and crispy. I also like the salt on top of them. The burger was really tasty but I wish the menu could be clearer. The sweet potato fries are NOT included with the burger - it's $3 extra. When ordering, our server wasn't clear about sides being extra.

Great service! Food was ok. I had the pizza, wings and potatoes. The pizza crust was like a cracker. Wings were ok. I think my favorite thing was the potatoes.

Nice and local spot for drinks and a small group! Also super close to Union Station! Upon arrival, there is a small parking lot located next to the building. Otherwise, there is some parking along the streets near the pub. Walking in, there is a ton of seating! Service was a little slow as it was very busy, but my group and I were in no rush. I ordered 'Our Famous Corned Beef and Cabbage' entrée with onion rings. The tanginess of the cabbage paired nicely with the full rounded flavor of the corned beef. The cabbage had, what I'm assuming to be, a poppyseed dressing combined in which really elevated that flavor. The onion rings were good, as well. The meal was greasy, but good! I definitely will be coming back when I am in the area again, and I'm looking forward to trying more on the menu!

Was in the area to got figure skating at the enterprise center and was A bit early so I decided to pop in and get a beer . Cool Irish ambiance and nice service.

Such great memories here during the Frozen Four. Thanks for hosting the Bronco faithful, we had a blast. Amazing service, the balcony overlooking the street was so fun, and the beer / food were great. This location is near Union Station, so it's ideal for pre or post gaming concerts and hockey games with friends. Overall, a great place that is really loud, really fun, and the classic "sports bar" atmosphere.

This place was a great late night place to eat and drink. We had arrived in town around 9 after driving hours and we wanted to eat and most restaurants were closing , so we found this place which was open til 2 and serving food late, thankfully. We split a corn beef pizza as we wanted to try St. Louis style, and it was delicious! Thin crust, cut into little squares lots of cheese and so good! It is an Irish bar with sports bar food and some Irish dishes too. It was pretty empty when we were there but our server was nice and it seemed like a cool spot for watching a game.

I ordered their pork chop, which came with asparagus and layered potatoes. The pork chop was served with a chutney sauce made from apricot, black, and golden raisins. There is a small dining area with an Irish band playing. I turned to my son and said I had been here before, pointed to the table I sat at, and told him I had Irish stew. Despite that, the other tables seemed to receive constant attention while our waitress disappeared for long stretches of time. We were initially seated in the side room with a large industrial fan blowing so hard that it was moving the menus off the table. We waited for the waitress to return so we could request a different table, but she never came back, so we moved ourselves to another empty table away from the fan. She seemed unhappy about the move and told us we might have to relocate again because they were expecting a busy day. Honestly, the restaurant was empty, and we would have been finished long before any rush started -- which we were. I asked for ketchup with my burger, and it didn't arrive until after I had already finished eating. Overall, the service was very poor. Unfortunately, the food was also extremely salty -- and we're people who normally enjoy salt. I had the Farmhouse Burger with Brussels sprouts and mac and cheese, while my wife ordered the steak and fries cooked medium well. The steak came out medium rare, and both her fries and my burger and Brussels sprouts were overly salted. The one bright spot was the mac and cheese, which we took to go. My daughter tried some and said it was the best she'd ever had. To top it off, our bill came to an even $100 with tip, and all we had were waters and the items mentioned above. We had been wanting to try Retreat for quite a while, so this experience was very disappointing. Between the poor service and underwhelming food, we probably won't be coming back.

Being a firecracker myself, I ordered the Firecracker Smashburger. It's a single patty, with Pepper Jack Cheese, Tomato-Onion-Jalapeno Relish, Drizzled with a Tangy Fire Ranch and served on a Martin's Potato Roll. The burger was juicy and had those crispy edges that a smash burger is known for. My favorite cheese is Pepper Jack, so that was a big plus for me. The relish added that extra kick that made it a true, Firecracker. I can't enjoy a burger without fries and Jack offers long skinny fries. They had a crispy shell and a soft hot inside. They were simply seasoned with just the right amount of salt. I was impressed that the ketchup was 100% Natural. That gets a big thumbs up. I came with my parents and husband and we all agreed it was a great idea and a very comfortable space, perfect for what was needed. I was surprised at how relatively ample the parking was here despite its proximity to the city. We found a spot with no problems. There were discreet signs that directed us up the stairs to where the event was held. It was spacious, airy, and cool, with a decent number of tables and a very nice large bar, as well as restrooms for both men and women. Our family members who spoke were able to stand on a small stage and share their thoughts. The food was served buffet style in front of the stage. Although you'd think it might be hard to hear given the acoustics, they worked out a way to make it so their speeches could be heard easily. Even visiting with other folks after they spoke, it never became too loud to hear each other. There are also nice TVs which displayed photos of the family. Although we used the space for a celebration of life, I can imagine it would be a good fit for all sorts of events, from corporate parties to just a chill hang out space when it's open to the public. It did get a little bit hot in the space as the event wore on, but it wasn't intolerable. The food and drinks were also quite tasty, especially for catered/buffet style food. There were pretzel bites and cheese dip and three different types of slider burgers: a standard/original burger, a taco burger, and an Impossible burger. The pretzel bites were crispy and buttery. I had a taco burger slider. It was a tiny bit dry but had a great flavor. The bartenders were great -- friendly, answering questions, working efficiently, and very kind to all the guests. Husband enjoyed the beers he tried and my mom and I both ordered the "Cranberry Crush," which was a yummy (and strong!) cocktail that was bright and perfectly sweet.
