I stopped by this place the other night for dinner. It's one of my go-to spots for food in Soulard. The friendly faces behind the bar and the great service always make me feel welcome. Their cheese curds are some of my favorites, and I always start my meal with them. I usually dip them in ranch dressing, and the squeakier they are when you bite into them, the better and it's that real Wisconsin cheese. I had been craving a juicy bacon cheeseburger, and they had just what I needed. It came with pepper jack cheese and two giant tomatoes that hit the spot. The burger was so satisfying that I couldn't resist getting some shoestring fries and another side of ranch dressing. It's my favorite, so I always order it. They also have a covered patio out back that's great for nights, and another bar upstairs on weekends, usually with a DJ getting people dancing. read more

We went here on a Saturday afternoon about 12:30 and the place was really crowded. The guy at the bar said it was crowded because of college basketball. We found a table, the Guy from the bar bought us two waters and said the ladies would be over to help us . 15 minutes in neither one of the ladies working the floor never came to assist us however the same lady walked past us three times to serve the table beside us, but never acknowledged us. The third time we decided to leave due to poor customer service. On our way out Terrence, who was at the door, stopped us and ask why we leaving. We told him the customer service was no-existing. He apologized multiple times and encouraged us to stay. Thanks to Terrence we stayed, the food was good. The service from the girls working the not so much. I would recommend this place because the food was pretty good but to the girls working in the bar and floor you should treat customers the way you want to be treated and the way you would want your family members to be treated. When I tell yall I love this place. I love it! I love the New Orleans style food and normally that's what I get but this time I tried a burger. The strawberry lemon drop was good but kind of bitter . If you like that you'd definitely love it. The wings were delicious and cooked to perfection not too spicy and not too sweet. It was the perfect blend of flavor. The burger was seasoned to a tea and so flavorful and the fries were seasoned too! You really didn't need anything ‍. The pizza was good and extra cheesy . The service is always on point and they're always attentive to you. It's a chill spot. There's always music playing and a nice crowd. You don't really have to worry about any riff raff there. This place really is a vibe for brunch. It is self searing so that's something to keep in mind when visiting. The ambiance is sports bar/restaurant vibes. Mostly high tables, a few booths and a nice patio. The staff was really cool and kept the bottomless mimosas coming with no problem. They interacted and danced with guests like they've known them forever which is always good in my book. The food was pretty good for the most part. The wing sauce was amazing and they were cooked to perfection however they were not seasoned at all so without the sauce, I wouldn't like them. Crowded sports bar and by chance, I arrived here about two hours before a Blues game. The Saint Louis Blues play hockey. The place was packed with the bartenders running around filling drink orders. Not a lot of food coming out of the kitchen but the drinks were definitely flowing. There was a very friendly vibe and I had an ice cold pilsner from Logboat. Relatively local, as far as I knew. Came to eat and catch the shuttle to the Blues game. Due to a shift change with the wait staff we waited about 15 mins for a server and then just decided to order at the bar. Food came just in time to eat and catch the 2nd shuttle. I ordered the 10 inch veggie pizza and my boyfriend got a burger and fries. My pizza was great. I burnt my mouth eating it too quickly! The pizza is classic St. Louis style thin crust with provel. I tried some fries, they were okay. They needed ketchup. Sports bar atmosphere. Most people there were catching the shuttle to the game. I would give this place 5 stars if it wasn't for the incredibly rude and horrible bartender that we've encountered every time we've been here. We headed over to Duke's and we'll I'll be honest I've visited this local water hole many times for cocktails but never eaten, let's get into it... I ordered the shrimp po' boy and it came out fresh, well seasoned and YUMMY! Trick of the trade, you can also get the boom boom shrimp on a hoagie bun, built like a po' boy, go ahead you know you want to! The mac and cheese is oh so cheesy and everything us little carb cheese loving peeps desire so go ahead and go for it. My fiancé got the French his although fresh I wish the au jus had a little more flavor as well as the roast beef but it's okay. The service and bartenders are super nice! Great food! The boom boom shrimp is so tasty and not very breaded. The boneless wings are also super good. I love that it's primarily the protein instead of all breading. Nutshell: Stellar food, great prices, friendly service. Perfect dinner spot before any of the sport-ball games. I've been here twice now for dinner before a Blues game. I have to say, I'm a fan. The place gets real busy, real quick, so I'd recommend getting there early if you're going to get food. The vibe is your typical sports bar. Dark wood everywhere, TVs everywhere, random sports memorabilia tacked up on the walls. The menu is anything but "typical sports bar." If you want wings, burgers, fries and the like; they have you covered. If you want something a lil more, you too are covered. The first time I went, I got the Frisco Melt and fries. It was incredibly tasty. My own mistake was not asking for it well-done, because I'm that monster. It came out pink in the middle and I had to eat around those bits....like I said, my mistake. The fries were well seasoned and perfectly fried. For the second go round, I went for the chicken philly with a side salad. New Favorite! The chicken chunks were tender and the onion, pepper, and mushroom sauteed mix was perfectly proportioned. The side salad is a bit of an upcharge, but is a nice size and had red onions and cheese. I thoroughly enjoyed the honey mustard dressing with it. My dinner partner got the lasagna and said it was extremely good. Not something I'd have guessed at a bar, but like I said the menu is above and beyond. Two drinks, two entrees, and tax our total was less than $35. Absolutely worth it! As for service, everyone I've interacted with is super nice, but they were not staffed for a game night crowd. It took longer than I would expect to get our order in, food came out quickly, but getting refills and the bill was a different story. The shuttle is clean and spacious. My last visit one of my friends had their chicken wings and the mild was spicy enough. She said she'd order them again. I have only had their dukes burger and I like it. I've heard so many good things about their fried crawfish tails and I had to see for myself. The rumors are true, the crawfish tails are AMAZING! I also ordered the Jerk pasta which was the special for the day and it was delicious. The chicken was seasoned to perfection. I did have to ask for extra pasta sauce because it was a little dry, but I like my pasta to be more on the creamier side. My friends and I came here on a Wednesday evening after work. It wasn't packed but it wasn't empty. There was one girl working the bar and taking table orders. She did an amazing job! My brother in love is the chef here and won several awards so I had to come check them out. The place was friendly and familiar even though I've never been here before. I ordered Crabcakes and fries.... It's a struggle eating out sometime in the pescatarian diet I'm using most days. But the crab cakes were delectable and the sauce was amazing. First sports bar I been to in STL! Caught the Packers vs Seahawks season opener here with my folks on move in weekend. Nice to see a Green Bay win of course! Yelp lead me here when I searched for nearby sports bars so thanks Yelp for the find! Not far off from my new place in The Grove so plus there. Parking is all street based so be aware of that. We got lucky and found spot a block or so off. Busy around 3pm when we arrived with folks all watching their teams kick off their season openers just like us. 20 some TV's at least inside. I found a whole separate back side to the place as well with a more outdoor patio feel to it, pretty nifty set up indeed. I ordered the bison burger with LTO and pickle. I subbed veggies for fries (not a fry guy) and asparagus was on menu. Lucky for me its one of my favorite veggies! Burger did not disappoint. Cooked to perfect medium, full 8 oz patty, and a nice soft warm bun. Simple and delicious! For $13 well worth it. Mom loved her chili cheese fries and dad finished his wings no problemo so I guess those were good too I'd have to say. Our meals came out in about 20 minutes from the time we got seated and 15 minutes from time of order. Good to see quick service and accurate service even when busy. Best part of all? I forgot my sun glasses at the table and about 200 yards out the door the server we had comes running along to return them to me! How cool is that! We all been there when we lose a costly pair of glasses and wish someone like him would have been there to return them to us. Now that's customer care! read more
