Fish n Chips

This was a hopping place on a Friday night!! They shoved 8 Adults and 2 kids in a little alcove at the bar so Thank God we like each other!!! The food was ok.... The Best were the Onion Rings and Pretzel Bites. The Wings were Luke warm and has sauce just dumped in them. My Salad was the last to come out as I think they forgot it. Please stay away from the Fish n Chips. These were not good. And I hate to say it.. but it was.

Stopped at Helen's for happy hour and as always the place was rocking!!! We only came for one but the band for the evening was Trixie Delight...and the place was packed! Very cute decor for the holidays!! Check it out!

Helen Fitzgerald's is good, but not great. It's been around for a long time, and it has a similar menu to Syberg's. Our server was friendly, and the food was alright. I got the Chicken Tender Wrap with Syberg Sauce. No complaints but wasn't wowed. Overall, an aging restaurant but not the worst in the area.

Food is always great here! Honestly, you can't go wrong with about anything on the menu. It's a casual dining area but the bar is huge. Can get pretty loud sometimes, but definitely plenty of room and they have a party room in the back for group banquets. Service was so nice. Liam took great care of us this time and checked in plenty! He was great and the staff bussing and food running were so friendly! Love this place and will continue to suggest it!

Met up with some friends for a drink here, and am still trying to figure this place out. They were on the restaurant side when we got there and had already eaten. When we arrived the waiter came by and asked if we wanted a drink. No menus or drink list. Took a while to get 2 beers, and we had to ask about a menu to pick an appetizer. Beer was room temp and filled to 2 different levels. Just odd service. Next time, I think I'll try the bar side and see if it makes more sense, still not sure why this place is so popular.

The food is average bar food. The service was slow slow slow! We sat down and waited ten minutes for a service then we couldn't find her for anything. We now remember why we only go there for the bands and NOT the food.

Coconut shrimp special

Went to Helen Fitzgeralds and ate on the patio the service was a little slow about 20 minutes to get our drink order at first but after that it was consistent. I had the shrimp special and my wife got the roast beef sandwich with beer cheese sauce on the side. My shrimp was perfect fried crispy and tender on the inside. My wife's roast beef was delicious and the cheese sauce very flavorful. We also both had side salads with our entrées the greens order perfect lots of tomato and cheese very tasty. The patio is just a patio but it was just nice to get outside for it was a nice night.

Helen Fitzgerald's is a large restaurant and has a large bar area. They had it decorated beautifully for Christmas and I really enjoyed the festive trees. Our experience was good, but not perfect. There was apparently a banquet going on in a private room so our service was very slow. We got the Pot O Gold to share which came with Syberg's wings, t-ravs, sygoons, potato skins, and pretzel bites. They were all delicious. My favorite were the sygoons and wings. My husband liked the t-ravs and he doesn't even usually like pretzels but he enjoyed the pretzel bites. I got the potato soup and it was hot and yummy. My husband had the buffalo chicken pizza with the new NootBaar Sauce. He liked it, but sadly it came to the table cold. Overall, we had a great experience and enjoyed it.

The chicken strip salad is one of my solid stl spots for the same meal over and over. I always get the chicken strip salad and it hits every time. I usually do grilled chicken but if I'm feeling it I'll order it with the crispy. Their wing sauce is one of my favorite sauces ever and I often have a bottle in the fridge at home. I also got a side order of fries this visit which obviously added to the delicious experience. It's simple and delicious bar food, what isn't to like :) server was super attentive and helpful. Can't wait for my next chicken strip salad adventure!

Enjoyed a holiday party here and this place was so packed! The parking isn't the greatest and I parked next door in the parking lot like many other people I seen walking to the restaurant. Although it was busy, it wasn't crowded moving around. We had a great "room" and a table for 8. Our server was attentive, kind and provided great service. Everyone ordered their own meal of choice. The Syberger was my choice with a side salad and others at my group ordered everything from salad, chicken strips to Philly sandwiches. Also tried a few apps at the table. All was delicious and served timely even though all the tables were full!

Fish and chips with fruit

Our server, WIllima was great, attentive, and friendly. The food came out in the correct order (why is this a problem so often now at many restaurants like getting your salad ten minutes after the main course is served). The food was good and so were the potions. I had the fish and chips, which was a little different than other places make it, more like the size of an eggroll with thick fish and crisp outer batter. I asked for a substitute for the coleslaw which I don't care for and despite not normally doing that they gave me a bowl of fruit as a replacement. We also shared a cheesecake dessert which was very good too.

Large pepperoni pizza

Helen Fitzgerald's is a favorite in the St. Louis community, I was here with a group of seven for a work dinner and was able to get all seven of us seated comfortably without a reservation for appetizers. We had a large pepperoni pizza and toasted ravioli, and my entrée was a steak with steamed broccoli and mashed potatoes. The food was delicious and the cocktails were great. The warm lighting and soft music makes this a great place for friends and coworkers to have a nice dinner, the other side of the building is more the sports bar area with high top tables and plenty of TVs to watch all sports events. Will definitely be back

Wings were awesome. Bartender (Maggie I believe) turned a bad experience at a neighboring restaurant into a fun evening!!!

Walk in and there are plenty of tables, a couple of gathering areas, standing room narrow tables, an outdoor area, and a room off to the side. I went for the Logboat Dark Matter which I have had before in a can and wanted to try on draft. I enjoyed it very much. You know what is great?! Since they don't have food, you can bring it in yourself. Both times our group has met up here Katie's Pizza is the choice and its in the same parking lot. You can't go wrong with Katie's. Bartender is on the ball and friendly, TV's all around, not too loud so you can talk. Wednesday nights they have Trivia and I stayed for the first round, it was very current for the current event category. Get a pizza from Katie's, go here, have a beer, have fun!
