    Pilsner

The beer here is not to my liking, everything is quite sweet. Everything has a murky appearance, even the pilsners. (see photo) The ambiance of the place was kind of boring. The bartender was leaning onto the bar to play on his phone, right in front of me. His phone was inches from touching mine. Someone else at the bar said "are you guys friends?!" when the bartender said "no", he replied "you need to get out of that guy's face then." Thanks man.

Visited this brewery while in St. Louis. It's in a great location close to the ballpark, and they give you cups of beer to go. They have a large upstairs with lots of different games to play. I was hoping for a better beer selection. They didn't have much variety.

Stopped by for drinks on a Saturday afternoon. It was decently busy. We ordered at the counter and then found a table. We ordered a flight - the peach wheat, Irish stout, peanut butter banana stout, and coffee stout. Everything was good.

2 burgers, fries with cheese, and BEER! I loved the Toklahoma burger.

This is the only spot we hit up twice in one weekend when visiting STL, so that is saying some thing. Extremely friendly bartenders, great beer, excellent food, and what a COOL beer hall they have upstairs! The whole vibe is fantastic, and it has a clean, industrial aesthetic.

One of my favorite local breweries that has a wide variety of beers, seltzers, and cocktails. The staff is always friendly and quick. My favorite seasonal beer is the Passionfruit Prussia. It has a great sour juicy flavor. Peacemaker has a pop-up restaurant on the first floor. Their menu has a selection of appetizers and sandwiches. The food is good but a bit high priced. 4 Hands is a great place to grab a drink before a Cardinals game.

The Madagascar Withered Oak Caribbean Rum and Port from 4 Hands Brewing Company!

Steve and I had 4 Hands Brewing lately and we really liked what we had a lot! It was the Madagascar Withered Oak Caribbean Rum and Port. It was an Imperial Stout which was very good! Despite having a 9.3 ABV it felt much, much stronger but it was a delightful stout to be sure and one we will remember very, very fondly! For flavors with this stout look for flavor features like rum, chocolate, bourbon and caramel. You will definitely pick up the barrel aged aspect with this stout as it was aged in Rum and Port barrels which makes it very unique from many! Definitely a good stout and I see several versions of Madagascar which I'd love to try sometime!

I love this location! It's such an easy place to get to right off of the highway and the parking is convenient & safe. I've enjoyed all of the beers I've ever had from here and am so happy they have the City Wide Light on draft for an easy drinking option. The gin-based cocktails are also quite delightful. The last time I was in, we ordered the cauliflower bites & fries. I'd say both were good but not amazing. Maybe a little too much breading on the cauliflower but a generous portion. I was a little annoyed that the dipping sauce for the bites was an added charge but of course I coughed up the money for some ranch to dunk them. Definitely a great spot for a lowkey night with drinks & snacks!

Absence of Light Peanut Butter Chocolate Milk Stout: 4 Hands Brewing was founded in 2011 and is located in St Louis, Missouri. They are the largest craft brewery in the city and have given back over $300,000 to local non-profits. The brewery describes their stout as "The perfect mash-up of cacao nibs and peanut butter supported by caramel, chocolate and roasted malts, Absence of Light opens with huge aromas reminiscent of creamy peanut butter cups and transitions into a silky milk stout with rich chocolate and coffee notes tapering to a slightly sweet finish provided by an addition of milk sugar." It has an ABV of 7.1% and is only available August-February. I'm by no means a teetotaler, but I'm much less of a beer enthusiast than I was in my college days. This was the third stout I tried this past winter and while drinking it I had the epiphany that even though I really want to like stouts, I don't. That being said, I think most stout fans will enjoy this beer. Peanut butter did stand out to me as it was prominent in the aftertaste, but the beer was too bitter for my preference. Absence of Light comes in one of the coolest looking cans I've encountered. It depicts some type of peanut putter monster/demon sitting on what might be a spoon. Kudos to the artist. Overall, for me this one was just okay. Doughboy_Food_Reviews

    Buffalo cauliflower and fries

Nice brewery in downtown. They have a variety of beer, seltzer and cocktails items. We came for meat bingo and it was a lot of fun, they have a huge upstairs area for the brewery and a nice benches for when it's warm outside. The food was so good and the Buffalo cauliflower is always my favorite. Staff was knowledgable about beer and nice . When you order food you have it get it at the window downstairs

Excellent local brewery to grab a cold craft and snack (sandwiches, salads, munchies) before heading to a Cardinals game. Friendly bar service, Peacemaker Food window, enjoy casual and relaxed ambience, good gathering spot for friends and/or family. Both 1st floor and 2nd floor (games and more) are open, plus front street patio area. Really like their atmosphere, overall 4.25+ rated for my experience and quality of service, food and brews. Expect to pay $10-15pp for meal/snack, and $7-8 for a pint of local brew. This is definitely more reasonable than buying food and drink at the stadium if you have pre-game (or post-game) time to spare! Today we tried a new Hazy IPA (Voltron collaboration) that put us in our "hoppy" place! Ordered a Frisco Melt to share, yummy smash burger on grilled sourdough with pickles and special sauce! Side of fries were hot and tasty and good shareable. Also tried an order of Buffalo Wings; tender and flavorful with just enough spiciness to complement a cold one! All fun at 4Hands Brewery! Check it out (game day or not) if you haven't been to their original downtown location and want to enjoy some cold craft brews and good food! Cheers, ENJOY!!

My friend had her birthday party here so she rented out an area of the upper level. It was a nice and spacious area with some arcade games. There wasn't many people there at noon when we arrived but before the cardinals game started, there was a good amount of people who showed up. There's a large bar upstairs and there was 2 bartenders so we didn't have an issue getting service. The bar has all their beer, and also wine, ciders, and hard alcohol so there's something for everyone. You order food on your phone and then pick it up at the window downstairs. The food was ready quickly and was good bar food. We got an order of fries, wings, pretzels, and their nachos. The potato chip nachos and the pretzels were my favorite. Both had beer cheese, which I love. Overall, this is a nice chill environment to have a few drinks and get some quality bar food.

Had to stop at least one brewery. I loved the look of the outside so of course I had to stop. I had the 5 oz of the Yes,Tea which was delicious!

    Are dogs allowed?

I've never seen any dogs inside, but there is a great outdoor area that is dog friendly

Has anyone been inside during covid? My friend made an indoors reservation but I'm nervous and would love some insight!

I haven't been inside, but I've gone to their patio twice and they're taking all of the precautions very seriously! Temperature checks, masks required for everyone when not at a table, disinfecting between parties, and tables distanced apart.

Is this pace good for kids?

Upstairs is great for kids. They have games for them to play. It is very family friendly.

Hello, I would like to know if I can purchase the chocolate milk stout at the brewery. I understand it's seasonal, but want to know if you have anymore in stock?

I was their the other weekend and they had it.

We tried a mix of things--tater tots, wings (both sauced and dry), pizza, and chicken tenders. Everything was decent, but nothing really stood out. The wings had good flavor but weren't anything special, and the pizza was pretty standard bar-style. Portions were solid, though, and it's definitely the kind of place where you can find something everyone will eat. The only real warmth we encountered came from the female host; the rest of the staff delivered service that hovered somewhere between disinterested and "we're doing you a favor by being here." We kicked things off with the fried deviled eggs, which arrived neither fried nor particularly deviled -- just cold little reminders that hope is fleeting. Cocktails landed squarely in "General Public" territory. My Squatty Potty showed up lukewarm, like it had been loitering at the bar contemplating its life choices instead of making it to the table piping hot. A chicken Caesar salad was perfectly fine... if you enjoy playing hide-and-seek with the chicken. The breakfast burger came on an English muffin with what might be the most emotionally unavailable portion of hash brown casserole I've ever seen -- tiny, distant, and gone too soon. There was a 20-30 minute wait so we found seats at the bar and ordered cocktails. Very good. Very strong. The Block is a great space. Tall ceilings, warm & inviting, perhaps a little low lighting for us challenged folks, but nice, easy to read menus made up for it. A busser brought us water and shortly behind him was Laura-Beth, (our server) with a big smile and menus. After explaining the menu, specials, and taking our drink orders she left us to think about our choices. The menu is a little limited but includes sandwiches as well as entrees including fish option.. Being a "butcher" restaurant we both opted for the ribeye, medium rare. The steak comes only with fries which I ordered while my date went for whipped potatoes. I also went for a side of spinach. We also split a Block Salad as a starter. Choosing to split the Block Salad was a good idea. It was more than enough for two. It was great version of a chopped salad with fresh greens, bacon, smoked ham, egg, house-smoked cheddar, tomatoes, red onion, dressed with just enough buttermilk dressing. Really enjoyed it and just the right amount of salad. Only criticism is not salt and pepper on the table. Probably by design but disappointing. Next came our steaks and sides. We both ordered medium-rare. Her steak was a little under but close enough. My steak was raw in the center. I should have said something but there wasn't so much it was inedible for me. Better under than over! The seasoned fries were good and the whipped potatoes very good were delicious. The fresh spinach was cooked perfect, but under seasoned. All in all, good sides. We finished with Irish Coffee and vanilla ice cream. Kudos to the staff A special thank you to our server Laura-Beth. You were spot on friendly, courteous, attentive, and made our evening great and not just good. Overall, a good place, A bit expensive but where isn't these days. Well worth a try if you haven't.
