The chicken fried steak was exactly what I was expecting. The hash browns were crispy, like I ordered. The gravy was kind of bland, but I was expecting that. The flavor was on point. The highlight? Eggs over easy were cooked to PERFECTION. All the whites were completely cooked and the yolks were completely runny. That takes SKILL, people! My husband's "pony" was good. The gravy was rather bland, like mine, but he did enjoy it. I tried his biscuit and didn't care for it at all as it was on the bland side. He ordered poached eggs and they were cooked *perfectly*!! Service was good but we found it odd that the waitress volunteered to us that she wasn't feeling well but was working anyway, seemed sketchy. Quality of the food is what I would expect from most breakfast places. It was good and it was reliable and that's what's important here, I think. But service here is the 5 star for me. I had a rough night the day before. I needed to shower my kid and the AirBnb we stayed at had broken shower. I certainly didn't wake up well rested or happy. Large portions of good food! Their omelets are large enough for two to share!!! On Fridays I prefer their baked catfish in the Catholic tradition my wife and I belong to. The waitresses are great; one of whom we have known with 40 years' experience and have become fast friends with. Very family oriented with a small town feel! read more

Honestly I hate to be this person, but the math ain't mathin. My family and I came in for brunch this morning ( Saturday), good service, pleasant server, quick, and quality food. However when it came to checking out we payed 72$ on a bill that adds up to 56 and some change if you read the prices from the menu... I payed over 15$ in taxes... not really adding up.. when it was brought to the attention of the elderly woman with the short black hair it was basically not an option that her math could have been wrong.. Good food, good people (ish), but not good enough to be over charged by a whole flippen entree price.. tried to call and speak with someone but no one picks up the phone.. I realize that this restaurant was understaffed when we were there, but our breakfast wasn't very good. My husband's omelet, my French toast, and even the toast were all undercooked. Another hidden gem restaurant but in Pacific Missouri, not Phoenix like most of my reviews. On a recent road trip coming back from Ohio my wife found this restaurant on google maps and we decided to take a chance. It was Saturday at lunch time and the restaurant was full of local people, everyone was eating or talking and the wait staff was moving about quite quickly. No booths here and nothing on the walls except for one small tv that had local news playing. We ordered fried chicken sandwich plate, Mickey pancake plate for the kiddo and I ordered the NY strip sandwich. The chicken was hand battered and cooked fresh, two huge pieces were on the bun and a large portion of perfectly crispy fries as the side. My kiddo ate all of the pancakes and the four strips of crispy bacon to win the clean plate award of our table. My ny strip needed a little salt but was decent and also came with a large side of crispy fries. I highly recommend if you are traveling on I 44 west of St Louis just west of the six flags amusement park to stop and eat here. Also note if you were an 80's kid that loved monster trucks, Pacific is the home of Bigfoot 4x4 and there is one on display across the street from the restaurant in the parking lot of a grocery store. read more

The prices were very reasonable, but the service and food were very poor quality. Both orders were incorrect (given small orange juice instead of large, forgot whip cream on waffle, brought out scrambled eggs instead of over easy). The waffle was soggy and the waitress did not bring out syrup or butter for it. read more

I have had so many dishes on their menu I honestly don't think I could pick a favorite because I like them all but I do love their creamy chicken soup, it is so delicious!
